It really is the most uncared for gym franchise ever. The locker rooms - indescribable (you must see to believe). 1/4 of the lockers are hanging by a single hinge. Too small to put any bag in, unless its a loose plastic bag. All this would be endurable if the maintenance wasnt so bad. Right now there are 6 pieces of equipment broken. These are either machines (like the crunch machine out now for two months, or the benches like the on/two preachers bench (broken for 6 months). Or the case of the "missing" EZ curl bar which took their staff 5 months to replace. The staff puts "signs" out that says "maintenance scheduled". That typically takes 3 to 4 months to get done. The "high school" supermen working the main desk dont know their asses from a hot rock, nor do they care. Ask to speak to the manager? Good luck. Write a letter to their corporate headwaters complaining ... equally good luck. Ive done it all. The gym membership is oversold and inadequate staff and equipment to support the number of high-school kids and others that show up during the day. Its a real loser ... 24 hours is your only other choice (in the same price range) is 24 hr fitness and its not that much better. I guess you get what you pay for. Expect NOTHING and you wont be disappointed.

This gym has an airy feel with the swimming pool visible upon entrance to the direct north while the atrium, although not spectacular, attends to the openiness. Machine heaven is to follow with the free weights on the opposite wall of entering with plenty of benches both bar and dumbbells; expect waiting time after work hours, and this could go for treadmills and the stairmaster. Plenty of stretching room with mats and swiss balls, without the luxury of privacy; perhsps past the Raquette ball courts may count. Individual dry suanas, spas, and shower facility with coed lap pool via access through locker rooms. Basketball court is the usual gym shorty, catch a game of any sort or take a break the waters close by and the windows opens up to the greater of the gym. Way on the far opposite is the multipurpose room its the only one this gym has. Does the trick, plenty of parking from the south clockwise to the north; maintenance is well kept for its kind. Still no wifi 2014 right. The personal training took most of the stretching area, however Ive never seen it personally used.

Usually dont bother reviewing places. Really lax on any sort of hiccups in my service, but this place is awful. The facility itself is not bad, its the staff and how they treat customers. The trainers have VERY high turnover as it turns out. Went through 3 trainers I liked within 3 months, ended up not liking the new ones coming in. Got conflicting fitness/nutrition information from them and workouts which werent feeling right. Theyre quick to be friendly and sign you up for the contract, but its very hard to cancel even when your contract is up. At the time of writing Ive come here 4 times to attempt to cancel my fitness, called 3 times. Always get told the person who can cancel isnt in or is busy. Once waited 45 minutes for them, to be told to go ahead and go home and he will call me as soon as he is done with a client. I hesitantly left and I called an hour later to confirm he will be calling - got told he will call back within a minute or two - no call back. Beware of the training!

Frontdesk staff... depending on whos on duty.... from yeah not naaaay! As much as i like LA Fitness their Torrance Branch is one of the worst... I get to attend LA Fitness studios over the entire country, from the East to the West Coast... taking friends of mine with me - getting a GUEST PASS online super easy, never had any issues... thou @the Torrance one... you need to get your GP activated in advance... front desk staff cant do it, and Sales Agent wont show up before 8am. If you wana purchase a day pass for 15$ they wont be able to give you change... I mean how can you take Cash but not be able to give change? Depending on who is on duty at the front desk - some of those girls are super sweet and helpful - others not so much, too busy with their smart phone and giving attitude to costumers.... So LA Fitness yeah- Torrance branch naaaay ! ! !

I have been there several times now. It has been clean, and well maintained. The coolest feature is that it opens 2 hours earlier on weekend; 6am instead of 8 am. Like working out there a lot. Although I do not prefer to interact much with the sales people (some have the attitude of "going-places", or seem to be busy with their smartphones), I do however, like the gym; It has a Basketball and racquetball courts, a nice pool and sauna (when it is functional - last time it took them at least 2 weeks to repair it!) Also there are plenty of equipment and space so you do not bump on each other. There is also a stretching area and an exercise class room (have not try it yet but have seen bicycling and other cardio-exercises with loud music take place with an instructor.) It also has a juice bar.

This is the worst gym. You arent allowed to put your bag on the floor it has to be in a locker. There lockers are all being held with one hing and they are always getting broken into and they have no type of security to prevent this from happening. "Manager" went up to me for a whole week straight because I refused to put my bag in their locker room. Finally, I just got tired of her and now I leave everything at home and my gym equipment stays home. Bathroom is always dirty urine on the toilet seat and floor which makes it a safety hazard because you may slip and fall. Why do I continue going there? Because I live a block away and I get a quick warm up jog there and then workout. We need a different gym in the area. DONT COME HERE

Ive been to several different LA Fitness locations and, while it aint the worst, its also not the best. The weights are not properly put back, the mens locker room consistently smells like deaths sweaty crotch and makes people use hand dryers instead of paper towel (not even the xlerator but the terrible old school ones that look like bacon dispensers--and thats not a compliment), there is no wifi hotspot, a very important machine is only available to personal training, the removable pulley bars and handles squeak and are in otherwise poor repair, the machines are old, parking is a pain, and the location is overcrowded. However, the staff is friendly.

Literally just got shafted by this gym. Absolutely no regard for customer experience. We got a guest pass from my dad to use the gym while we are in town visiting and after we honest about not wanting a membership they pretty much said we cant use our guest pass and will have to pay the drop in rate. I dont know who gave my dad the guest pass and how that conversation got skewed or who taught the management and staff about the power of conversation and building relationships. But they failed on all levels here. Maybe if this first interaction had gone differently I would consider a membership. But no sir. No thank you.
