I recently hired LAFB to cater my wedding reception. We are very laid back people and wanted a fun relaxed atmosphere with music, beer, and bbq, following our beach ceremony. We were trying to go pretty low budget so I didnt have a coordinator, just my mom (who gets frantic under stress - the opposite of helpful) and my best friend (who already had her day filled doing our hair, getting herself and son ready etc.). Even a relaxed person starts to stress on their wedding day and as I sat getting my hair done it felt like everything stopped when I sat down. The keg people came with the ice and just dropped it in the yard and no one thought to put it into the ice chests they just sat there jabbering while the ice melted. Then the LAFB crew showed up (an hour early! I got lucky) and just set to work doing everything I asked of them and constantly asking if there was anything else I would like them to do to help. In my morning rush, I had completely forgotten about the party favors and they reminded me, I completely underestimated the amount of ice we needed and they offered to run out and pick up some more (do keep in mind I hired an extra person just to help with some of the coordination - just so you dont have unrealistic expectations, so many people can only do so much at one time), they used some of the extra shells I had left over from decorating the tables to decorate the food tables and tie it all together flawlessly. I left for my ceremony calm and relaxed knowing that they had everything under control and I could count on them. And they didnt let us down. The food was fantastic, nothing but compliments and for the amount of food we got the price was hands down the best in town. I found another company who was less expensive but there was not the veriety of side orders (only 3 vs 5 at LAFB) and they litterally counted out 100 hamburgers if you had 100 guests, where as LAFB based their price on people having seconds! That makes almost twice as much food for only about $500 more and that also included a staff of four for the whole night - the other company dropped it off and came back and hour later! The whole night they reminded us and the DJ (again cutting cost we had an inexperienced DJ) of events and times that things should be getting done, like the first dance, the blessing, the toast, etc. I have to say I was a little hesitant about using LAFB after reading that negative comment posted but after reading the post and the responce, it just really seemed to me like this was a person with unrealistic expectations - weve all met at least one - so I took the chance. IM SO GLAD I DID! I highly recommend them and will gladly use them in the future and already had a person from my reception ask for their number to use them for one of their upcomming events. They go above and beyond! When I first thought about hiring a catering company to provide the dinner at our Christmas party I was picturing several chafing dishes full of food being dropped off and picked up the next day. I got SO MUCH MORE than that from Love at First Bite! We hired a bartender through the company and he not only took care of the bar, but set up all of the food, decorated the tables where the food was set-up, carved the prime rib, and packaged up all the left overs when dinner was over. Then he took all the chafing dishes with him when he left and there was nothing else I had to do! And, the food was exceptional - I got so many positive comments from the party guests. Thank you!!!

Service and food were excellent. My guests were so impressed with the food. I loved how easy it was. Mindy was helpful and Krista was amazing. Lunch for 50 was never so easy.
