I just hosted a spring event at my home catered by Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering(CBDC). Let me begin with the delectable mouthwatering food! My guests raved about the menu, especially the Napa crunchy salad which was a perfect mix of minutely chopped vegetables--radishes, scallions, cilantro, almonds and pea sprouts--in a light soy dressing topped with crunchy chinese shoestrings over chopped cabbage. Once I explained the reason for the event and the theme, Cynthia came up with an amazing menu that included tender beef medallions with grilled vegetables, salmon filets over a heavenly mango salsa bed and a trio of chocolate desserts: a brownie triangle topped with an almond ganache, a chocolate raspberry pot de crème, and chocolate dipped strawberries. I could go on about the food, but what I appreciated even more was the professional manner and the ease of working with CBDC. These guys know what they are doing!! My house is minimally equipped--no viking range, a broken microwave and inadequate backyard heating or lighting. The friendly folks at CBDC knew exactly what to do. They supplied all items we thought we would need to purchase prior to the event. They brought outdoor lighting which was miraculously put up without my knowing. My husband had to unexpectedly leave town until the night of the event so I thought I would be alone in managing set-up. The truck & server arrived early and kept me on task, as well as setting up risers, organza fabric and placement of my flowers so that everything looked BEAUTIFUL. When the chef arrived, my server, Veronica, directed the chef on where food was to be placed. She also did the linens, the bar, serving during the party and clean up. When the party was over, I realized that the stress of hosting the party was minimal and that I was able to really enjoy myself. And the cleanup was so thorough that my house was cleaner after the party than when it began! Cheers and thanks CBDC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cynthia is the one bad-ass lady of steel that will make your event flawless. Picture this: a professional juggler with 7 plates in the air that land perfectly on your table, a whip in her right had to take charge of all the cooks and the waiters and the set-up staff and the party planners and etc, etc. It takes a certain energy to make events happen, and baby, shes got it. Cant fail to mention the delicious hors doeuvres and entrees that were cooked up. The beef was so tender it melted in my mouth... find out for yourself

Cynthia has catered our annual Holiday Party for several years. We have come to rely on her professionalism and knowledge. The staff is friendly and courteous, willing to answer every question and concern. The chef and servers come to my home where they set everything up, prepare the food, serve it, and leave the kitchen clean. Of course, the food is plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend them.
