This was the most horrific move I have ever benn a part of. From the onset, it was a disaster. The two guys that were to move the furniture showed up 2 1/2 days late. They were tried before they ever lifted a finger. The two had repeatedly lied to us about why they were late. CHP detainment, Truck broke down, had to pick up a load that was scheduled before ours, etc. etc. I was told to sign blank forms, thats right, they were not filled out at all. No date, no dollar amounts. They threatened no to move the furniture. O.K. I said. They changed their mind and loaded it. When they finished, I asked if I could follow them to the scales to see the weight myself. NO, they said. The final paperwork was given to me. It was all blank and I was told to sign. I refused. "If you dont sign we wont move your stuff" I was told. "O.K." I said. Unload it right here. I pointed to an area that was empty and available. I never signed the paperwork. THEY TOOK OFF ANYWAY. THEY NOW HAD POSSESSION OF ALL OF THE PROPERTY. Now they could squeeze us and thats what they did. They increased the estimate from $4400 dollars to $8800! They refused to tell us where the property was. I was told it was on its way back east. Then, "in storage." Then, "Im not sure." Then, "We are going to charge you $800.00 per month to store it at our facility." Please see the photos of this dumpy facility. As Director of Operations, Jason Scott runs the show. "Rick" runs the warehouse and is " wicked" smart. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS GUY, he will filet you and eat you for lunch. I signed a "release" form, a copy of which I have never received. I was told the day I signed it THAT I WOULD GET A COPY, but havent received it. There are lots of very interesting things going on here. My take? Law Enforcement should get involved, DEEPLY involved. So should the Labor Board (their employees told my crew they worked for cash and it is all under the table. Hmnnn....What about False Advertising? Who would believe their personal belonging would be stored at a place like this? Not me. The photos posted by Best Rate are used to try to convince the public that this company is legitimate, fair, ethical and morally sound. I beg to differ. This is one of the biggest rag-tag bunch of people ever assembled to form a moving company. Every word spoken from the lips of those employed by this company drips with tones of exploition and greed. This is a sinister operation. OH,I forgot that they dont have any employees...better let the State Fund know so they can adjust their Workers Compensation premium downward. Better yet, lets just call for a full, and I mean FULL audit of their books. Im serious, this company is a danger to society.

Beware! Do Not Deal With These People. At start they will try to give you a good price and pray on you. But it will change when they arrive. Their loaders will be buddy buddy with you but are there to deceive also. my experience with them after they delivered my stuff is below. [I would have not found out the over charge on cubic feet if I did not have to move my house hold goods to a storage facility. This implies that the company has done this to previous customers. Upon not getting rental home in time for my new move I had to put the shipment in storage facility. I rented a 10x14 storage thinking the 1400 cubic feet of supposed charged space would fit because the space was 140 square feet and my charged 1400 cubic feet is approximately 126 square feet. After dealing with the delivery person who was beyond rude and would not work with me on accommodating my situation. Upon delivering my goods even the delivery carrier stated that “my things are not 1400 cubic feet”. When all the goods were in the storage space it did not fill half of the storage place. I recorded the amount of space it took and took pictures as evidence. To better test that my things were not being 1400 cubic feet I rented a 16 feet Budget rental truck with an approximate 792 cubic to move my goods to my rental property. With the help of some people from school, everything fit in the truck. We are not professional packers and we made everything fit even without the dishwasher that was not delivered there was more room in the truck, so this brought me to the conclusion that Best Rate Moving & Storage’s trucks are not calibrated correctly and over charged almost twice the amount for the move. I also have receipts and video for the trucks as proof. If this is not handled this way I will pursue through BBB or small claims court because this is fraud] I started the claim and claim company said best rate would like to handle it. I have been trying to call them as much as possible but i think they are screening my calls. When I am done with school i will definitely take them to small claims court. I will ask for my full refund these bastards stole from me. I dont see how they could have any good ratings. I wish i could give them no star.

Worst company to work with, ever! If I had to do it again, Id go with a larger reputable company and not get suckered in by a low quote. Along with the poor customer service, damaged items, I had expensive/priceless personal belongings that did not show up at delivery. I am still trying to work through the claims process with Best Rates third party claims company. I just found our from the third party that they dont service Best Rate Moving & Storage claims anymore (Im glad I checked in because no one followed up with me). I went back to talk to the Better Business Bureau and come to find out (not really surprised here) that they are no longer affiliated with the BBB. Again, back to square one as I am trying to reach Best Rate Moving & Storage and so far no word back. Save your time, money, and keep your stress level low by avoiding this company. The last thing you want to put your family through during the moving process, is stress from your moving company.

I dont know about anyone elses experience with this company..But I was very happy with the service they provided it was positive. I called asked for someone to come and look at everything I was taking to Arizona, I didnt want any surprises the day of delivery. Rick from Best Rate came and extended his help in fact I shared with them my experience with the last moving company he gave me a totally different outlook on moving companies,an he gave me packing supplies for free of charge!!!!! Everything else was completed early, happily and with no breaks at all. I had moved my things into storage, then hired Best Rate to move them to my new place. They were very respectful, but had to laugh at my complete lack of skill in their field. My moves took me two full Saturdays with lots of dings and chips, theirs took 3.5 hours and with perfect results. Ill be coming back to them whenever the need arises. Mike

Valerie gave us a quote for $1900 we sent pictures of everything that was gonna be moved when the movers got to our house they changed the price to $5000 we were all packed dont go with this company they are scammers they will quote you a price over the phone but on moving day they will tell you another price check out Best Rate Movers on BBB online they have complaints about there prices changing.
