For years, my wife have not send her clothes to a dry cleaner to clean. Out of blue, she sent a few of her precious clothes to this dry cleaner, including a formal dress dated back to her single days, and she left on her two-week trip. The problem came when my children went to pick up the clothes at the agreed upon time, and they were lied to that the stains on the formal dress couldnt come off and had to be cleaned again. The 2nd time I went along with the children to pick up the dress, and was told again the dress had to be cleaned again. We went for a 3rd time to the cleaner, and was finally told of the fact that the cleaner had lost, or per cleaners word mixed up, the dress. So my children told their mom what had happened. After coming back from the trip, my wife personally went to the cleaner to discuss the matter, and the cleaner promised her that she can go and pick out a similar design dress and the cleaner will pick up the bill for that new dress. So my wife went and picked out a 50% off dress that was barely to her liking because she had to at the Ontario Mill Mall a week b4 Christmas. Then we both went to the cleaner and showed him the receipt, this is when the cleaner made it clear that the price we paid for the discounted dress was too expensive and he refused to pay for. My wife told the cleaner flatlly, you lost the dress and you at least have to show some kind of willingness to compensate for our lost not to mention the original dress was irreplacable in terms of uniqueness, style, pattern, and sentimental value. Consequently the cleaner admitted that on the flip side of the receipt, there is a compensation clause stating that the maximum binding compensation value on the cleaner cannot exceed ten times the value of cleaning the original dress, which is $4.00 X 10 and the cleaner begrudgingly paid us $40.00 to end our dealing with him. My wife ended up paying more for the discounted new dress. This is my very first negative review on any service i have received in life, but I wrote it to wish you all can draw necessary lessons from our dealing with this cleaner. Samuel

Very disappointing. My wife brought a jacket for dry clean with an agreed price of $7.25, the price and the item, a jacket, was printed on the receipt. When I went picked up the jacket, Town Cleaners charged me for $14.00 dollars. I was shock and demanded an explanation. The owner said it was not a jacket, but a coat we brought in for dry clean. However, my wife was never told the jacket she brought in was a "coat" and last but not least, if there is a change of price, my wife should have been notified and approval should have been obtained prior to processing the item. Town Cleaners went ahead dry clean the jacket without letting us know there would be an increase in price. Town Clearners has been dishonest and unprofessional. They just take advantage of their customers every way they can. Do not go there, go somewhere else.
