PATHETIC SERVICE. Do NOT join this location (or) even LA fitness for that matter. They have no sense of customer service; they just want to make you join & pay. I have been going to LA fitness for the last three years & wanted a guest pass to be given to a family member that came from overseas. I was a given a three day guest pass by Nick (one nice guy) a week ago & i forgot to take it when i took my guest. I picked a day where they are running a "Membership appreciation day" (tell me about it!) and as per policy they dont issue guest passes & insisted on getting membership, guest membership or daily membership that will somehow BENEFIT me; seriously?? I just wanted someone to look at the club so that they may get an interest to join sometime. After series of interesting interactions with one MARK GOLTER, he had given entry for the guest for a day. And then, later in my email i get a three day pass. This guys is a Joke. When i asked about me being a three year customer, his response was " everybody is a customer here". The point i am trying to make here is not about equipment (which is old anyways) parking (which is plenty); i am trying to make a point about a person who did not know how to treat a customer of three years. This is just an example of how one bad experience can reflect back on the clubs reputation. Apart from this emotional reason, here are some logical reasons ( which I found after doing some research) 1) They are pricy ( or no standard pricing) 2) They have a stupid cancellation policy. You need to print out a form and send to their corporate office which will take a month (they want to extract the last dollar out of you before you leave) 3) They have a very stupid FREEZE policy. If you happen to freeze the membership for some reason, you still pay $10/ month to hold on to the membership (which is 30% of the actual membership fee!, this is a joke) 4) Their service is pathetic ( i did some research after this experience & found i can add a VIP member for free for 14 consequetive days so that they can try it out. But it was never told to me by Mighty MARK GOLTER when i explained the situation) 5) Old equipments (at least this club) 6) Pushy about everything (personal training, add ons etc) 7) They charge extra if you loose your card (i dont have a major complaint about this) Fitness clubs in general makes money through memberships & if they dont keep the service level up, they are going to loose customers. If you want cheap - go to 24/7 If you are okay not having any pool / sport facilities there is one closeby that charges $ 9.99 If you want to pay more & get better service - join equinox LA Fitness is average in everything. I am ditching them once for all.

Last sunday, I had an accident. I locked my locker with my keys inside. It was already 7:55 pm and the gym closes at 8 pm. I asked help from an employee, Naomi. She gave me various keys but all didnt workout. I asked her if can go back at my house to get some tools and she told to me that she can wait for only ten minutes then she had to leave. I got at my house after ten minutes (I was only using my bike) so I quickly called the gym and told Naomi, the only employee left in the gym, that Ill just go back the following day because I didnt want to disturb her or take her time. But Naomi said that it was alright and that shed be willing to wait for as long as I also make it quick. I got back in less than 5 minutes (wasnt using a bike anymore) and finally, I got my things back! My wallet, my phone and everything else! Thank you Naomi!! May others learn from your kindness!!

★ Great facilities. ★ Some of the meatheads cant count to 25 so they put 100lb weights in places they dont belong. ★ 4-6am and 2-3:30ish are the least crowded times, in my experience. ★ DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING. The guy who currently runs that bit of biz wont hesitate to take advantage of you. He has ZERO integrity. Pulls every snake oil sales trick in the book and doesnt tell you that (1) its for a year and (2) you cant cancel without paying a ridiculous fee. The staff is generally pleasant but be wary of the dude who tries to sell you something. And, a lot of their trainers dont have any noteworthy certifications. Not to mention the results they say will take you 1-1.5 years dont take longer than 4-6 months to attain...if youre meticulous about the nutrition aspect (which, of course, they hardly touch on).

HORRIBLE SERVICE This is the worst service I have seen. When it is time to renew the membership, they call multiple times and it will be done on phone. When I want training payment to be stopped for 1 month ,I literally called 100 times still can not be done over phone. Nobody calls back after you leave a message and when I go there to meet the manager he is always busy with a customer and after a wait of 30 minutes I had to go back with out meeting him. Then start calling him again from the next day. We need to call at least 10 days prior, to stop the payment. This is ridiculous.

Signed up for a trainer. From the beginning everything was a lie! The guy Mark did not tell me it was a year contract! Thats not what I wanted! He signed me up to a guy Casey who was suppose to specialize with people with disability and Casey did everything wrong! I could not physically walk after meeting with him! Then Mark could not place me with anyone else! Ive paid for sessions they have no one to place me with! Still waiting to be placed with a trainer! Yet they have no issue taking my money! Its been an awful experience! Im sorry I ever signed up!

I have been a member of LA Fitness in Lake Forest for about 3 years now and during that time I have been treated like a star. Ned, the manager knows everyone by name, he always greets me in person and with a huge smile. About 6 months ago I signed up for personal training and have had the pleasure of working with several trainers. All of them have taken my physical limitations into consideration and have tailored their training to fit my needs. If you are looking for a gym check these guys out you will not be dissappointed!

Very Bad experience. I went to visit them as it is close to where I live. However it proved to be one of the worst things I have ever done. Cons: Everything 1)Especially the way they try make you pay on the first day. The marketing strategy is awful 2) They lie in everything they say : About the classes, fees, everything. 3)The monthly fee and initiation fees are different for different people. 4) This is a place where a bunch of liars have set up some stinky machines and try to loot people---Never Never Never go there...

I agree with everyone else, this place has the worst service Ive ever seen. All the stupid girls that run the front desk act like theyre better than everyone and make you feel bad for forgetting your pass and using a phone number. God forbid you distract them from their Facebook time just to type in a phone number, which, by the way, is an option they gave you when you first sign up in case you do in fact forget and or lose your pass. Seriously hate this place, and considering dropping my membership because of them.
