When I first used this branch I had asked the clerk for the "cheapest way I could send" and instead of telling me its by parcel, she punched Priority mail when my item very much qualified for parcel post. Didnt know better then that was why I had relied on good old fashioned honest public servant. The clerk even had a straight face when I had asked after she gave me the quote on what I had to pay, that it was the cheapest. I guess her face was already as callous as her conscience. I am mad and upsetwhile looking back. I sometimes go to another branch but this 90035 post office is still affecting my shipments in that my items get stuck, not moving from their sorting facility for days and get delayed in delivery. It is so frustrating when you do what you can to ship fast and they dont do their jobs well and are not helpful while being paid by our hard earned tax $$$. There are a couple of good employees, though. 1 lady and 1 male employee. They are particularly helpful in that the lady would try with you every which way to find which would be cheaper for you, while the male, though he didnt help me, had helped and didnt rush (nor did he intentionally delay the line) a woman who was having a time getting her stuff packed and shipped. I didnt mind because he wasnt holding the line intentionally but giving her time she needed for the service and information she needed. He didnt help her pack, but directed her, got the right box for her when she couldnt get the right one from the lobby stocks

It is the worst post office in Los Angeles, package get constantly lost by them, delivery service is terrible, we are constantly getting other addresses mail, and the mail deliver postage is at least 2 days old, we have a lock mail box but the mail is left often in the top open compartment. The employee lough at customer having problem when the package get lost, I issue certify mail all the time and it takes them 12 days to deliver if not more, in the same city and close zip code. One time I went to pick up a mail certify returned to me, and they gave me another one, which it was never issued a receipt for it and was sitting in the post office for months; wile I was waiting the employees working there make fun of the person that gave me the wrong certify mail, saying about her that she got a bad training and therefore doing a bad job. When a package is deliver often is thrown in the entrance of the property like is a ball, anywhere that is convenient for them, because of this my package got shredded by the opening gate, and when I returned it to them, with evidence and damaged goods, I never received a reimbursement for it.

Four patrons were waiting for the lobby to open at 6 a.m. as advertised. The temperature outside was 37 degrees. The P.O. rep finally opened up by 6:20 with her usual apology, adding only that she "didnt know no one else was doing here job." Two patron finally drove off before the office opened. The man waiting with me said he came every day and she is always late opening up, the latest at 6:18. If you open at 6:18 a.m., post that time for access to Post Office boxes. If you really intend to open at 6, as posted, fire the woman who occupies a position that someone else might be happy to perform well. (It doesnt help that the one performing it late every day is surly and impolite when you ask her a question; i.e. "Is it better for me to drop my letter in the lobby drop box or in the big mailbox that youre emptying right now?") She apparently considers the question impertinent. The young man I waited with this morning gave me his contact information. If youre interested in talking to him first hand, let me know. You can reach me by return email for my own detailed feedback.

My brother use to work for the post office and i always had respect. But today this one employee had the worst energy I ever felt over the phone. Just called into his office and had the worst experience over the phone:/ want to ask about getting my passport renewed. heres the conversion…she said her name is (miss brown) not sure if she gave me the right name or not…this is part of our dialogue … connection was in and out then it cleared ... employee: Hello…$%$&4 Me: Hello? Is this the post office? employee: &%$$^&*shhhheee Me: Im sorry…is this the post office? employee: se%^%sh …Im not going to answer that. Me: Hi, I couldnt hear you…is this the post office? employee: how can I help you!? Me: is this the post office? employee: how can i help you? Me: whats your name? employee: how can I help you? Me: Is this the post office? employee: How can I help you? Me: ok whats your name… employee: Miss Brown Me: can I speak to your supervisor? employee: (hangs up) I called back to ask for a supervisor but got the same woman she left me on hold for 3mins and then disconnected me.

Received a notice on Monday that I got a package that Id have to sign for, and pick up at this station. When I got there, they couldnt find the package, and had no idea where it was. They did not know if my carrier had taken it back to redeliver it. They did not know when the carrier would return from his/her route. There was also no one there who could better explain when I could expect to get my package. In a separate incident recently, our carrier had a shouting match with a neighbor, and then proceeded to leave a package on my doorstep that was clearly addressed to another tenant. And they dont answer the phone if you have any questions or complaints - I tried two different numbers. You come to expect lousy service from the Post Office these days, but its still pretty annoying when these things happen.

This post office used to one of the worst - the archetype of the bad post office. Surly staff, long lines, etc. Over the last year this location has been turned around. The have a kiosk for self service tasks, a lobby clerk to answer questions and accept and scan packages with stamps or PC postage, more windows open, and more customer focused attitude. The are more business mailer friendly then they used to be (especially if you long time resident who remembers the days of Terrible Tony and The Slow Earl. I mail about 150 parcel a week from this location. Note they have removed the outside drop boxes due to chronic theft problems from all the tweakers that hang out in the Autozone parking lot across the street. The lobby clerk has a large cart just inside the door ready to handle one package or 500.

I agree with the negative comments. I wanted to deliver a package internationally and the man helping me gave me [bad] information regarding package restrictions for international shipping so that I had to wait a week to repack my package. I went to another post office and there was no such problem. My other experiences are generally unhappy. But the worst post office is on Vermont St, close to Jefferson St., near USC. They literally threw my package like a basketball trying to make a basket (but they missed!), after I told them there was a fragile camera in it!! Then they said, "Thats not the worst care it will receive before it reaches its destination." Terrible.
