I own a mail order business requiring daily deliveries, pickups and occasional visits to the post office. As my company has grown over the years I have moved it from city to city. The Gardena Post Office is now the 5th PO I have worked with. This is the worst PO by a long shot. Although the people working the windows and deliveries are perfectly nice people they are totally mismanaged. For some reason that escapes me there are 5! different people in that office with the title "Postmaster". Additionally, there are managers and supervisors. Im not sure if there are actually any official workers. This all indicates that there are way too many chiefs and far too few indians. The delivery/pick-up people are so poorly managed that they frequently simply skip us when they are running behind. When you go to the post office the lines are always incredibly long. Picking up a package at the PO is always a half-day task because they can never find anything in the back in a timely manner. Oh yes, and try phoning them sometime. They almost never answer the phone. If you are wondering why, it is because the person responsible for answering the phone is also the main window clerk. Unfortunately, the window and the phone are about a 2-3 minute fast walk apart from each other. And the phone cannot be heard from the window area. Another example of bad management. As a business owner I know that when an operation like the Gardena PO is not working properly it is typically the fault of management. If I was asked to take over the management of this office I would keep almost all of the people and dump every one of the so-called managers, supervisors and postmasters.

Call the authorities. Period. Thats the only way I see fit to deal with this post office. Bring the police with you and maybe theyll get their act together. If I could give this place no stars or even negative stars trust me, I would. Theyre rude, starting at the top with the supervisor, all the way down to the employees. They dont care. They lost a package that I had sent to someone & then told them that they dont know where the package is and theyll reach them when they find it. This makes absolutely NO SENSE. and to top it all off, nobody wants to do their job. Its gotten to the point where the dont want to do something as simple as picking up the phone. They have an intro play, followed by an automated voice that tells you theyre connecting you to a representative & then the "representative" gets on the phone only to tell you that this is gardena post office and then the automated voice comes back and says goodbye. I realized that the "representative" was just a recorded message. I mean, how careless & irresponsible can a GOVERMENT FACILITY be? As I said before, Ive been experiencing these issues with them for 4-5 days now. If my friend & I do not receive real service soon I will not hesitate to get the police involved since all they want to do is sit around & collect a check.

As with most reviewers, I would love to leave negative stars. Constantly having carriers fraudulantly say that there was an "attempt to deliver package" when all members of household are home & then state that there was a "notice left". LIES! This is the 5th occurrence in a couple of months. I have called the USPS perverbial # & have complained at every instance. Someone from the local office leaves me a voicemail to address said complaint, leaves a contact # that has a greeting & then automatically hangs up. FYI - I just wanted to say that when my regular postman (shout out & props to ED!) is on duty, this NEVER occurs. Only when he is off. As I have done research while waiting to speak to a USPS rep for a redelivery attempt, it seems like you can call the Post Master General & file a complaint as these workers are stating untruths whilst on the clock. I would complain in person but judging from the other reviews I would probably would just "go postal" if some charlatan talked to me in a condescending tone. I can imagine the inferiority complex that rears its ugly head when an incompetent employee is faced with the fact that a machine could do a better job than they. #dronesfordeliveries

I hate this office so much. Ive been tracking a package since Feb 26, 2015 and it said they tried to deliver that day but no one was home. So it said for me to pick up. I went the next day and they said it was going to be delivered that day (feb27) well I didnt get anything, so I went the next day (feb28) and they had me waiting atleast 1hr and they didnt find anything again. So i left my info so they can notify me when its available. I went again the next day (Feb 29) and once again they didnt have anything they said its in the office somewhere but they just didnt know where.. i was tired of going so i waited to talk to a supervisor and no one came to me, so the employee told me to leave a not with my info. Well i just got an email saying that my package was unclaimed which means that I never went to claim for it. So now Im left with no package. Im so mad. I really dont recommend going to this post office. It sucks so bad. The workers are lazy and hard to understand what they are saying. They are also rude. Dont waste your time coming here.

Well as a customer that receives packages a couple months a time they seem to have grown over the years as the mailman now delivers most of my packages to my door. A few years back they didnt even bother to knock at the door and just left a slip in the mailbox while i was home all day. Another thing to note is that i felt discriminated as when i paid here once with a card, they asked me for my ID while the guy in front of me of difference race was not asked for an ID. That really felt disrespectful and angered. Now as an eBay seller i strongly hate coming here as they wont give me an acceptance scan without a SCAN paper where as the USPS in Inglewood the clerk was more than glad to give me an acceptance scan to all packages without hesitation. Oh yeah, and they wont even pick up my packages that i had schedules for pick up and then sent me an email saying the scheduled pick up was successful.

I truly do wish there was a negative star available for the rating. One of the worst post office I have ever been to. Wrong tracking information was provided. No attempted delivery was made and no notice was left even though it says it did on the tracking information. So, I had to go down to this post office in person to find out whats going on, but their attitude towards helping to solve the problem was just horrible. They will never admit their faults. Worst of all, while waiting at the window I overheard two old man working there making fun of this old granny who didnt speaking English very well. It was a horrible experience. Plus, they never pick up their phone except for their automated answering system saying "Good Afternoon x 2, Good Bye." even though they say the customer service hours are from 8am to 5pm . If you have a problem you will have to go down there in person.
