This gym is the best ever! They have affordable prices for people who cant pay as much as they expensive gyms plus they give out good deals every month or so for people to join in which is a best opportunity a gym can give out. The staff here is super friendly they assist you in no time which is awesome!. The gym itself makes you feel comfortable its big and spacious for everyone and makes you feel like your in a big playground and everything there is well organized. This gym is more worth paying!! for than any other because its afforable and they dont force you to sign contracts whatsoever u like the other gyms do and help you out in what payment you can afford to join :D. Hopefully I can go back here soon again I Defiantly reccomend this GYM

I had an amazing time every time Ive been to this ymca. Theres a really nasty snarky girl that works at the front desk I think her name is Darlene. Shes got the worst attitude of a person Ive ever met. She needs to be fired, Ive only seen this person twice and both times they look as if someone killed their dog or something. And in my mind this is not the job for you with that type of attitude and the treatment towards a guest should never be accepted. She literally had no manners at all and to not even greet people with a smile is terrible for business. I really do plan on coming back so I really hope this situation is fixed! The staff members name is Darlene they have shoulder length black curly hair and a very mean face.

Recently I’ve noticed an influx of homeless people entering the gym. They do not seem to be there to workout and most often they linger around other members personal items. Ive had my watch and gym bag stolen in less than 2 months. Most recently I witnessed a man threaten another man with a knife on the basketball court. The gym lockers are infected with roaches as a result of the homeless people who often come in with grimy clothing. Ive spoken to management about this and they do not seem one bit concerned. Management seems to discount the obvious safety concerns and does nothing to prevent any if these issues.

Friendly staff, fairly clean facilities, newish equipment (lifefitness, hammer strength). Only one power rack, plenty of benches and inclines for the arm work outers. Stretching areas leave a bit to be desired. Expansive locker rooms. $2 to park in the garage directly under the Y if you authenticate your ticket at the front desk of the Y. Side note, my wife has paid $0 if you authenticate your ticket right as you walk out of the gym.

The gym is great everything you need clean specious an equipped BUT the hours of operation SUCK. Im not sure why they would close such gym in dtla where you pay 45 bucks a month at 4pm in a saturday or 930 pm on a Thursday. Planet fitness in dtla is 24 hours and 10 dollars a month. Plus its quite obvious the air system is closley monitored. I dont go to the. Dtla Ketchum when its past 80 degrees because it will be to hot.

This is a great community gym located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The cardio and strength rooms are well equipped and they have a million dollar view of Los Angeles! The entire facilities including the steam, sauna, and locker rooms are super clean. The gyms monthly fee is reasonable. Also, this facility provides community teens with free services such as resume assistance, etc.

I joined this Y because it is close to my work. I dont really have any complaints except maybe the weekend hours. Staff is so friendly; its reasonably priced; locker room and facilities are clean; there are always fresh towels; and Ive never had a problem finding a machine or place to stretch.

This place is way overprices in addition to this there is not free parking. The pool is permanently closed, the lockers room is filthy and in need of remodeling. On weekends they close by 6 PM or so, the stuff is not exactly friendly. Dont joint this place...big mistake.

I love this place. Staff is helpful. Everything is clean. Compared to other ymcas I love this one the most. Its not as crowded as others. Only thing I would critique is the pool and track size. I cannot really talk about the classes, but Im pretty sure they are great.

Ive been a member of many high end gyms, and 24hr fitness. This is one of the best YMCAs Ive ever used. The staff is super friendly. The facilities are awesome. The other members come from a broad range of life experiences, and I really enjoy their participation.

Just an update. This particular YMCA has changed their towel service policy. You must now pay $10/mo for a fresh towel upon entering. Otherwise very nice services and lots of parking in the parking structure if you have a vehicle with low enough height clearance.

Great looking basketball court although numbers were small when I went on a Tuesday. The regulars say that was a strange day as Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually the best for games.

The Downtown YMCA is awesome due to friendly personnel and the indoor basketball court. The Teen Lead program is very helpful because of the opportunities and resources it provides.
