We are in the midst of a pretty big remodel of an old Mckinleyville 1956 two story. Dan Marsh is walking us through every step. As “differed” maintenance has left the house needing a lot of work, we had to find someone who was flexible and knowledgeable enough to steer the job without costs getting out of control. Dan and his team stay on top of everything and I can talk to them anytime about any questions, dumb or not, that come up. We have already done significant sheetrock, drywall, window replacement, and exterior upgrade work. With a new garden window upstairs installed and plans for French doors, new bathroom upstairs, a new kitchen, and original old oak floors refinished, I think the house will be transformed from an “eyesore” to a “sweet home”. As we are only half way through, I can’t finish this review. But, I fully expect based on what we have experienced so far that this will be a remodel without the stressful frustration I know it could be. All the guys who work for Dan have been a real pleasure. They are the best Humboldt has in their particular trades. All the details are worked out personally with us. We can check in on any aspect of the job, be involved in getting the best prices for finishings or personal touches. I sincerely recommend DMC for any job, big or small. We feel very blessed to have him working on our home. I hope to add to this in summary very soon when the job is complete!

Dan and his crew have been doing work on my vacation cabin in the redwoods for several years. With the possibility that it may become my full-time residence in the near future, Ive had him upgrade my bathroom, redo the electrical, and myriad smaller projects. Dan is extremely conscientious about meeting his clients needs. When they did my bathroom I could not be there to oversee, so I basically gave Dan the freedom to design it as he wanted to, everything from the location of the tub to picking out the sink and lighting, the end result being a rustic but highly functional little room that is totally in keeping with my personal aesthetic and with the rest of the cabin. On another occasion he surprised me a cord of firewood, which he didnt ask or expect payment for. Easy to work with, returns calls and emails promptly, flexible with payment plans.

I first had the pleasure of working with DMC Construction at my former residence in 2016, where they performed extensive construction and repair. Without exception, each member of Dans team is professional, skilled, knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and in short, a joy to have around. I was working against an escrow deadline on the sale of my home, and Dan and his crew worked long, hard hours, consistently going above and beyond, to help me meet that goal. This Spring, at my new residence, Dans crew designed and built an amazing two-tiered handicap ramp that is so nicely finished it draws comments from passersby. This ramp is a work of art, and the envy of all my neighbors! I would highly recommend DMC Construction for any project, large or small--you wont be disappointed!

We decided to enlarge our bedroom and saw that Dan was a local business. We called and he came out the next day. After permits were obtained we soon got started. Besides doing the bedroom, they also did other things like putting windows in and installing solar tubes in the bathrooms. They even found our sprinkler manifold in 10 minutes which another company was unable to do in a few hours! They are extremely clean. One worker, Matt, by the end of the day, there wasnt a used nail, sawdust or scrap wood lying around. It was just amazing. And the job was done on time. We will definitely use them again. DMC inspected and installed upgraded perimeter foundation vents all around our new-to-us home. They also installed new bathroom fans in both our bathrooms which never had fans before. This meant not only cutting in new holes to mount the fans, but also the electrical work and routing the exhaust ducting to vent outside; and our vertical space in the rafters is small. They listen to your needs and offer sound advice all while staying within budget; a great job through and through.

Dan and his crew did a great job on our deck remodel. The creativity was impressive, and the craftsmanship was A+. I also was happy to get the bill which was below budget. His crewmen were a joy to have around our property, very cheery and positive. We will be using DMC for all our projects around the ranch, and Lord know we have enough of them. So get these guys on your calender while you can, because we our going to be calling them a lot!
