Be prepared to be ripped off. I used to go to Capitol Toyota in South SJ to get a $32 Lube Oil Filter job for my 2006 Lexus IS350. I moved to North SJ and noticed that there was a Quality nearby (having recognized them from the ads). I saw they had a $22 special for the job so thought it was am steal. Well, I was in for a shock. As soon as I pulled up, they quickly put my car on the racks. The service advisor then went on to tell me there were some "small" extras. I thought that was unusual because the car takes regular parts that are also on Toyota models. However, I was expecting them to be - well, small - and the mechanics were already at work. Boy, was that a mistake. $5 upcharge for 5W30 (I later realized there is NO retail difference versus 10W40). $10 upcharge for a "canister" style filter (I later checked - and the filter isnt exotic at all - in fact, can be found for $6-7 at local parts stores like Kragen). Finally, after the job completed, they came back and told me there was an additional $6.50 charge for 1.5L of extra 5W40 (retail its $4 for 2L!). Should I really have been surprised by that point? So, final bill - $47 for a lube-oil-filter job. Much higher than nearby shops and much higher than even the dealer. BUYER BEWARE!

Ive been coming to Quality Tune Up, Milpitas for many years now for the following reasons: *Friendly and Professional Staff *Honest and Trustworthy *Reliable *Cleanliness of the employees/shop *Zack and his staff are amazing! *Never sell you to make a buck, only to ensure your vehicle is taken well care of *Did I mention Zack is amazing?? *Next door to Fosters Freeze (Great food) *Nice, clean waiting room with lots of goodies to read and tv to keep one entertained *Quick and efficient With such a competitive industry (automotive repair) it amazes me how Zack and the Quality Tune Up Shops have stood apart from the crowd. I will continue to come to this location to have my vehicle serviced for as long as I am a CA bay area driver. I highly recommend anyone who needs their vehicle to be serviced to come to this shop. My co-worker drives 150 miles a day so he gets an oil change every 1.5 months. We always go there then run across the street for Pho. The car is done every time by the time we eat and come back. I think this guy does a good job and is always been honest with us. My wife has a Lexus so please tell me what dealer will do a Service A for $42! The best I have seen is about $80. If you need a smog that means your car is 6+ years old. If you still have the stock air filter there is a chance that you could fail smog and about a 100% chance that you need a new one (even if yours "looks" clean). A new airfilter will bump your mpg by 1 to 2 so it will pay for itself in a month or two (but I agree with one thing, there is no way I would pay 22$ for a "regular" air filter).

I had a smog check, oil change and all fluid change here. I met Harprit who explained clearly at what level what services becomes mandatory for the car .He quoted his own car experience as well. Very customer friendly and has the skill and know how to give the good service. I liked his service mentality, his personal attention to address my current service issues and also laid out a roadmap to address another issue going forward to keep the car in good condition. I would strongly recommend to talk to Harprit for the best customer friendly experience in your next service.

The worst place i have ever been to... Complete Scam artists which is most likely why the place was completely empty... First tried to say my car needed an extra quart of oil when i knew it didnt, then because i called them out on it and pulled up the user manual they tried to charge my an extra $13 for some bs reason just to make up the difference for the extra oil i called them out on. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!!!

Saturday, $80 oil change. $14 for a new oil pan plug. Come out the next morning to a 3 foot round oil puddle under my car. Dip stick reads no oil.....so of course they are closed sunday. Now I have to miss work Monday so I can get this fixed. :( now Im out 95 bucks plus a days work, plus a certification Im supposed to take at noon monday. They will fix it and refund me my money, then they will never see me again.

I highly recommend getting all your daily necessities done here! , harpreet and his staff are the most straight up and down to earth guys who will tell you how it is and not continuously try to up sell you like most other shops. This place is of new ownership and that is why I think the stars are low but I have nothing but amazing things to say about this quality tune up, highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I cant give zero stars. Called ahead and told them what needed to be done. They said they could do it immediately. Got there 5 minutes later and they told me it would be at least an hour and a half wait. Total waste of time. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else.

I bought used Tahoe and took there for vehicle inspection and smog check. They check everything and let me know what needs attention. They were fast and well trained. I will there for all my vehicle needs. Guy on front counter (Harpreet) was very very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent service.

dont come here. I waited 2 and a half hours just to get my oil changed. I tould the "manager" specifically that I wanted 10w-40 because I have high mileage and he gave me 10w-30. thanks for listening. I didnt come out happy go somewhere else.
