I have reasonably good response from staff, except in one case when a staffer stopped me and said your membership had lapsed, apparently the thumb machine was faulty and did not show me coming in for a long time, so my insurance cancelled without telling me (I expected them to cancel since they are paying and I am not recording any attendance) it took several attempts to restart the membership. When in NY or CT. I usually go with my son and was always welcomed to use the facilities as a visitor with a member without charges (Normal cost for membership is $19/month, and it is month to month, no yearly contract needed, NYSC) When my son visited me this month, I took him, and was told I have to pay $25 for a daily pass, luckily the machine did not work and the gentleman, said just go in, so that was nice of him. So overall, I agree that it is not a Super Sport, but the staff are nice and deserve 5 stars, but the facilities and cost, get 2 stars, so the average is 3 1/2 stars.

These chronic complainers whove left scathing reviews are typical Lamorinda residents...if everything is not perfect, ATTACK!! Ive been a member at this location for 3 years and I find the staff to be friendly and helpful, the machines functional, and the facility clean. One cant expect the staff to clean everything at every given moment especially when Ive seen various members amazing lack of hygiene and refusal to wipe their filth off the machines and floors. I was disgusted at one entitled housewife sweating profusely and leaving the stationary bike soaked. Its a wonder these high scale members havent brought out the attorneys to force 24 Hour to meet their high standards. I spend equal time at both the Walnut Creek and Moraga locations and I prefer Moraga because it meets my needs. if you so called members prefer WC so much go there and stop whining. Otherwise, demand Mommy and Daddy build you a home gym.

This gym shouldnt charge so much as a Super Sport club when it does not have the same amenities that its sister club in Walnut Creek has. Beyond the unreasonable prices, the staff are extremely rude. When I arrived on the third day of my free pass, they cornered me and refused to let me in, saying that my pass had expired. When my mother (who had a membership) came over and asked about the different memberships, including the discounted rate she had, the sales guy brought the sales manager, who was extremely rude and condescending, stating "I can tell you right now, youre not going to get the same deal for HIM as you got." When he told her the price, she said, "Oh, the prices went up..." To which he replied "Of course they did, just like everything else." That a douche. I will most certainly not be getting a membership, and my mother will be canceling her membership. Disgusting behavior.

Im paying for supersport membership and I can visit any supersport anywhere in states. So far I visited following northern california locations: - Everywhere on SF peninsula - Every supersport gym from Oakland to Milpitas - Pleasanton, San Ramon and Concord Supersports - 2 gyms in Santa Rosa. This gym is better than any gym on SF peninsula, better than any gym from Oakland to Milpitas. Those who rate with place below 4 stars I suggest trying out Oakland supersport. If you rate with location badly what would you rate Oakland gym? Or Daly City gym? Minus 9000 stars? Please. This is a very clean facility. Its not very big and you probably cant expect as much variety as Pleasanton/San Ramon gyms, for example I didnt see here punching bag. But other than that this is a very nice a clean gym in a very quiet and nice location.

This is in no way a SuperSport and they are just ripping you off saying it is and taking advantage of an area that is supposedly well off financially. Like the other review says, no pool, no sauna, no basketball court, no jacuzzi, no racketball, nothing special... Its just a gym with weights, cardio, and a locker room. Some of the staff have attitudes that I dont appreciate. I NEVER see anyone cleaning the equipment and they put the wipes and spray bottle far enough away that it is inconvenient to get to them. The treadmills are often malfunctioning and if you tell the staff, they are unconcerned. Also, hardly any classes after 5:00 when most people are getting off work. But if you just want to do basic exercise, its fine, I guess.

Ive been going there for the cardio machines 4 to 5 times a week for the last 6 weeks. With the exception of one person, Im always greeted with a smile and a "have a good workout!" The machines I like are never all taken, and, even if they were, there are plenty of other machines to choose from. The locker room is usually very clean, and the club is very clean overall. Showers are roomy but showing some age. The showers have never run out of either hot water or soap. The worst I can say is they ran out of large towels once, and I had to use two smaller towels. A higher level of service is certainly possible, but, from a 24 Hour Fitness, I getting much more than Im looking for.

Spotty towel service meaning 2-3 days in a row with out towels (btw, towels are included in the membership) and dirty bathrooms (hair in the drains near toilets, sink area). Gross!!! I should also mention that the staff is not very polite and never bother to learn your name. I go almost every morning and not once have I been greeted by my name. Tyrel is GREAT (sorry if I misspelled name). Ill be so sad the day he leaves, especially with such HIGH turnover. The class schedule is pretty lame too. Not a very good selection, but at least there are some classes provided. Im getting sick of this club, but its so convenient. Review written...now a nasty email to club.

Unless you pay a reservation fee in advance, many of the classes are full and you waste your time going there. Why dont they put in more classes that are popular, there are certainly time slots available. Its probably b/c they do not want to spend money on teachers.. they must make HUGE bucks w/ such a large membership. The money should go into investing in more classes such as yoga that always fill up. They get stars for the politeness of staff, with several staff always greeting you when you enter and leave. Also, some of the class teachers are very experienced and know their field. They would have received great if they added more classes.

Wasnt allowed inside as soon as I signed in, the man pointed out that in 1976 I had used the sports version and I was warned not to visit one again and an exception was made, I agreed it happened and said I wasnt aware of this branch being a super sport and I will not do it again, its just that I didnt know when I started and found this one on gps and to make an exception as I am a member, the man at the desk was pretty adamant, its one strike and ur out, went back home with tears in my eyes, no workout and in gym clothes, 30 minutes wasted driving to and from, saddened legitimately

My favorite 24hr fitness. About equidistant as the new Walnut Creek supersport is to my home but I always end up in Moraga. Its small and doesnt have nearly as much to offer as the larger clubs but theres enough of the free weights and machines for me to get me a good workout. Only real complaint is the limited kids club hours which have changed recently. So limited in fact that I cancelled my monthly kids club plan and now pay per visit. If you can work around that you might appreciate the small club feel that I enjoy.
