Fast, but as Expensive as the dealership. Ive been a Midas customer for 6 or 7 years, previously in Minnesota. I saw the low ratings for this location and decided to try it anyways. Oil change, high mileage: $50 Brake pads and rotors (one set of wheels): $420. It seemed expensive, but they worked me into a busy day, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I checked online afterwards, and OReilly had the equivalent parts between 25% and 45% midas price (before labor). Then I checked the dealer, and their prices were identical to midas. So, it was dealer pricing for parts. I wish they had asked if I wanted premium parts rather than assuming on a 10 year old car. But as long as they gave me genuine dealer parts (I should check) then its just an upsell. UPDATE: The parts are monroe and centric. The pads and rotors are available at Walmart and amazon for 1/3 the price. So I dropped 1 star. Labor for 2 wheels was $130, but a $50 credit applied. Compared to Minnesota, this Midas seemed more like a traditional repair shop. In Minnesota, Midas was more corporate, upfront / clear, and much cheaper than the dealer. There was no upsell. Thats why I went to midas for so many years. And they did everything including welding exhaust, which many places wouldnt do. They were a local maxima of honesty x price x quality. When I get a new car, and want premium parts, I might consider this location again, if the dealer cant schedule me. As long as I have an older car, Ill find a cheaper place.

I havent even left the store yet but I cant wait to get out to write my review. two words ....STAY AWAY!! Ive been here since 7:30 am, its now going on 11:00 and my pads (that they had to get from the dealer) arent even here yet. since Ive been here Ive watched them run every bait and switch scam in the book. every customer thats walked in had "needed" at least $500 more worth of work than they came in for. if you know what you need done and stick to it you may leave here with your shirt. if you show even a hint of being a good mark they will tell you you need a warp drive for your car. as Im writing this I was just told that the struts on my 08 accord with less than 30k miles are "blown" and need immediate repair. the nice man will make me a deal and do it for $600. no thanks buddy! funny how many cars have "needed" struts today. this place is ridiculous! Edit: Less than 2 months after having my brakes done at Midas they started making noise. My front end also began to shake every time I tried to slow down from highway speeds. I broke down and took it to the dealer. They told me the rotors were not resurfaced properly. The dealer resurfaced them again for no charge. Score one for the Honda dealer on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale. Midas Sucks!!!!

Customer service is terrible. They will use all kinds of scare tactics to suck your money. They will say, "Oh, this repair is really really critical... Otherwise, your car will have huge issues... Its written on an owners manual." They are horrible liars. I took my car because it was making squeaking noises and felt some vibration while braking. Then, they told me all kind of reasons to completely change my brakes. Most of what the guy explained to me & my husband didnt make any sense. For example, he said "Squeaking noise is because you have cheap break pads. You need to replace all" Then, we asked "Explain to me how the cheap break pads cause this and why do I need to replace all? Can you tell me which one was the worst of all?" He could not explain anything. At the end, we agreed that Midas would fix vibration problem. I paid more than $100. For a few days, I didnt feel vibration but after that the vibration came back. I dont want to deal with them any more. NEVER NEVER GO THERE TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED. THEY WILL JUST CHARGE YOU A LOT AND FIX NOTHING.

Dont waste your money, I dont know why I thought this Midas would be different than other Midas shops in California. It is auto shops like this one that give mechanics their stereotype as scam artists. Edited 11/8/2016: It is now obvious to me that Midas did not even open the hood of my car. Initially I called and asked if they could locate a vacuum leak in my breather system, this would save me the expense of replacing the entire system by just replacing the leaking hose. I was glad to pay the $100 diagnosis fee when they told me they could find it. I was very disappointed when they told me the only fix was to replace the entire breather system and quoted me $1700, an outrageous price as the OEM parts for the repair run about $300, and non oem can be had for much less. It was at this point I wrote the original review. I worked on the car for about a half hour this weekend and managed to find a very obviously leaking vacuum line, and was able to fix it myself for pennies on the dollar compared to their price. Dont go to this shop unless you like feeling ripped off.

Manager Anthony Proano was rude and lacked basic customer service skills. Upon initial contact, he hung up on me over the phone. He did not propose any solution when we found out that my reservation for a 10" uHaul truck has been changed without my knowledge to a 14" truck with $10 increase in daily charge. He also did not specify that there is a $1.09 per mile charge. He charged me for another day after being late for an hour. I was also charged an extra day for the doly usage! I have rented uHaul trucks perhaps 10 times in the past and have never paid so much for a single day rental ($136). This disappointing experience has been a blow to my loyalty to uHaul. This manager does not deserve to represent you to customers.

Made car worse!! The guy started by saying the Groupon app was ripping them off. We already KNEW what was wrong w/ my car & were looking for an honest place. We paid for 45 point inspection oil change tire rotation. They only found 1 thing... A bulge in a tire they moved to the front!!! Is that even legal??? Plus instantly trying 2 sell me 2 new tires for a 15yr old car. I drive 2hrs a day they could kill me with a blowout!!! Their motto should be "Does Worse Than Before!" My car was safer with a bad tire in rear. & they didnt Catch I needed a tune up or a rotten tie rod end either. Wow.

con artists, bought an -oil change- from groupon , they came up with some extra charges: the guy was trying to tell me that he did not try to charge for oversize tires on my BMW?? What this has to do with oil change? Owner tried to tell me that dealer charges a lot more than he does and said if I can not afford BMW I should buy something cheap. At the end it looks like he is charging "extras" by the model of the car and not for the groupon advertised oil change. He also made my car worse. I will complain to groupon as well.
