Where do I begin? I would give these guys 6 stars if I could. Theyve been taking my car for over 5 years, and Ive never encountered a better set of mechanics. Not only are they incredibly sharp and know cars like the back of their hand -- they are friendly and honest! The following is just a few ways theyve helped me out over the years. - My airbag light popped on, so when I took it in for an oil change, I asked them to check it out. They correctly diagnosed it as a problem with the seatbelt sensor and recommended I take it to the dealership, since they figured it would be covered by a lifetime safety warranty. They were right! The dealership did the repair for free. If theyd been less than honest, AAMCO could have charged me hundreds for the repair, but they were looking out for my best interests. - I messed up my car pretty badly when I hurt a curb. They took a careful look at it and recommended that I talk to an underbelly specialist to make sure I got the right diagnosis and repair. When I asked them how much I owed them for their time, they told me not to worry about it... that Id been a loyal customer for many years and they just wanted to see me get back on my feet. - When I had some body damage to my car, they recommended an excellent body shop that performed some repairs for significantly less than I would have paid elsewhere. Honestly, that just scratches the surface. Theyve also offered great advice on car maintenance, my best strategy for buying a used car, and how to stretch my dollar when performing repairs. I had a shop closer to work do my oil changes before and that other shop recommended a number of flushes, some of which were not necessary. AAMCO Walnut Creek made sure I only spent the money I needed to spend, and they offered a better rate than the other place. I drive all the way from Oakland because I trust them to take care of my car.

I dropped my truck off at the Walnut Creek AAMCO on Labor Day and came in to the office first thing the next morning to meet the service manager, Paul. My transmission had broken down 450 miles from home and I had a warranty that this AAMCO could not honor because it was not from AAMCO. Paul was very nice and helpful as I tried to work out what to do with my shop in Southern California. Paul made me feel right at home, despite the fact that he was not going to get my business. He was honest in telling me that he could not work on my transmission without voiding my warranty, but he also showed a lot of concern about helping me out while I was obviously going through a rough time. He had his crew do a quick check of the transmission fluids, told me what the proper service schedule should be for my transmission, and made me feel assured that my problem was probably covered by my warranty. While I was waiting for a truck to haul my vehicle to another shop that could handle the warranty, Paul and the others there continued to try to reduce the stress I was under. I have had three transmissions rebuilt in about the last five or six years so I had a pretty good sense that Paul was telling it to me straight. I would take my vehicles to him if I was located in the area. I would also trust this AAMCO to do regular preventive maintenance, which I recommend very strongly. Its worth every penny, because if your transmission does break, it probably wont be a simple, low-cost fix. Let Paul at Walnut Creek AAMCO take care of you.

In the beginning till we now the place ,and the people better we are a little to say scare since my husband use to go at Midas.Midas didnt do transmission, and they refer to AAMCO.Derek and all the crew are friendly ,professional, and fair. When we went for the transmission they replace it ,and even let us to pay in payments. After a while transmission has problems and we go back,They told us was malfunction ,and they replace without cost, and very fast. More we have relationship with this great crew at AAMCO more confident we are.First when you go there a friendly, and professional man is up and shake your hand. This man is Derek who estimate the problems ,schedule the repair ,and calculate the cost.We go again in few days to check the car before our trip to the mountains. For sure we will stay with AAMCO and will go again and again and again and again....... Thank you AAMCO to help us to trust you.

This facility is really a standout among the repair shops that I know. Everything is admirable - the reception area, the troubleshooting of what needs to be repaired and the communication while the vehicle is in their shop. My car is a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo that needed transmission repair. Understandably, spare parts are already hard to find but they did not stop until they were able to procure the needed parts to repair it. While in the process, they always kept me updated and when the repair was finally completed, it was amazing. A week after delivery, I found out that there was something wrong with the repaired transmission. I returned to them and the issue was immediately resolved without additional charges. By the way, the cost is really reasonable, considering the age of my vehicle. Whenever needed, I will again go to them for my vehicle repairs.

Treat there employees awful! I just found out they fired there best employee with no cause! she was a huge value to there shop and created alot of growth she was very knowledgeable about cars and repair options and so helpful to explain every step of the process! the owners Derek, steve are a joke they allow DAVID who is a mechanic to be high on methamphetamine while working on cars (he is the only transmission guy) and they all drink on the job! They even have a beer fridge upstairs for everyone not suprised they make so many mistakes and have to fix there work alot. DONT go here trust me!!!!! »»»»»»»»»If they have over charged you or not done your job to your satisfaction i encurrage you to contact the (B.A.R) BOROUGH OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR its the governing board they must answer to.««««««««««««««««««««»«« good luck

I was working in Walnut Creek for the summer and needed to get my car checked out before I drove back to Michigan. A friend recommended Aamco and I just dropped my car off there during my lunch break and they gave me a ride back to work. They called to let me know what need to be fixed/replaced and gave me price quotes for each which were all cheaper than the other quotes I saw. I told them to go ahead and replace my dangerously-warn brake pads and fix my rear shocks. When they called to tell me it was ready they said that instead of shocks the problem had been the struts but they were honoring the original quote and werent charging me the extra couple hours of labor it took them to do the job! I was really impressed with their integrity and service and I had a smooth and safe ride across the country!

I highly recommend Derek and his staff at Walnut Creek AAMCO. After a very bad experience at another local Aamco shop, Derek honored our warranty without question, diagnosed the problem, gave me a ride back home and the Jeep was fixed the next day. All the while, Derek was helpful, polite and knowlegeable and never pushy or condescending. It helps to know that there are honest garages and mechanics to help our family with our regular maintenance and major car repairs. Derek also recommended another facility to keep the cost down for an air conditioner repair on our Jeep. I hope that many in our community will give Derek and Walnut Creek AAMCO an opportunity to show their skills in auto repair and customer service and support. A job well done. Thank You!
