I am 100% about all my reviews and completely agree with all the 1 star reviews this company diserves. Ruben is the guy thats supose to be running this place appears harmless is actually a huge problem to any customer or "victim" who turns to midas for any help. I say victim because many people who turn to this shop become victims of this company and many like it who aware of their scams! There is a documentary on companies just like midas/jiffy lube/pep boys on how they prey on people for lots of money who dont have a clue about mechanics. You can go walk in and say i want a new air filter, they will offer you a free inspection, just so they can come out with a horrific laundry list of expensive things that need to be done to your car, and for the unsuspecting victim who isnt familiar with mechanics they will pay the hundred to thousands of dollars in repairs in fear that there vehicle wont make it back home, when it really drives just fine. They tried so many times to put fear in me and intimidate me but it wouldnt work sadly for Ruben. But when i knew i needed brakes i went to midas for Ruben and his team to do the work on it. Lets just say i stopped going after that visit. I havnt returned nor will i ever, and i write this message in hope that the truth spreads to everone and no one will be made a victim again. Im going to post up a picture of the invoice for everyone to see how outrages this company and many like it can be but first a little background on that last visit. I was made a target because i was young. They saw that, and took advantage of it. When i told them thats way too expensive for just the front brakes they did not hesitate to offer me a credit card to pay for the job that on all honesty i think they cheated me on. They said they would order new brakes to be installed (just the front brakes) when instead i think they took the old ones and did some simple thing on it on this machine that specializes on brakes and slapped the old ones right back on. I know this because i watched as they did it. So that was it, i made up my mind never to return. But i could not go on thinking of all the people who have been or will fall victim to them and their cons/scams. The 3 words i would use to describe these people are greedy, dishonest, and untrustworthy. Its kind of funny when the amount charged for the labor is substantially higher than the parts, you will see that on the picture i post up with this messgae. One more thing i forgot to mention regaurding the credit card company that evryone should know is that they offer the worst deals for example the apr is atleast 23%.

My husband took my truck in for an inspection to this Midas shop and it was the worst mistake ever!!! He dropped it off at 9 a.m. and no one called him until I called the shop around 11 a.m. to find out what was going on. They told me the inspection was completed but they hadnt called anyone yet... why?? They eventually called and discussed the issues with my husband and gave him an outrageous estimate for new tires, alignment and new bearrings. My husband opted for only an alignment but the manager, Ruben kept trying to sell my husband all new tires and was reluctant about doing an alignment without new tires. Ruben finally agreed to proceed with just doing an alignment for us, and told my husband we should pick the truck up by 5pm that afternoon. I had to leave work early and rush to make it before they closed. Once we got there the "manager" (and I use the term, loosely) handed the keys to my husband and told him he didnt have time to do the alignment!!! WHAT THE F??? He had no explanation why he didnt call us other than, he didnt have time to do it!!! Clearly, this is no way to treat a potential returning customer but obviously, this guy has no customer service or managerial experience!!!!!! We were treated like we didnt exist!!! Once we got home I went on the Midas website and wrote a very disatifactory customer feedback report!!!!! I had forgotten the managers name and I called the shop back to ask. Fifteen minutes later, Ruben - "the manager" kept calling my cell phone, but I would not pick up. He then left me a voicemail message to "please call him back, so we could discuss the situation..." He then kept calling my husbands cell phone and left him a voice mail message saying "he felt sorry and wanted to work something out..." This was a little too late, Ruben!!! You shouldve tried to "work things out" with us while we were at your shop!!! Instead, you blew us off because it was closing time, and you didnt want to deal with us!!!!! You are a disgrace to Midas as a corporation and I will never do business with your company and I will never recommend Midas to any of my friends or family!!! Clearly, we did not receive "The Midas Touch" this day!!!!!

Terrible customer service. If i could give it 0 Stars i would. Do not even call these people. They have done nothing but waste my time and my patience. I gave them a call yesterday to book an appointment and ask a few questions but instead was put on hold and forgotten for a full five minutes. I had to call back, which i now regret doing, in order to get someone to talk to me. Go figure its the same Ruben guy from two years ago. I dont know what the hell these people are thinking. After being badgered with offers for services i was not interested in i was finally able to make an appointment for 7:30 am today. I arrived at the shop at 7:20am and instead of being serviced. I was told i would have to leave the car for four hours. What kind of oil change and tire rotation takes 4 whole hours? When i asked why it would take so long, the person on duty said that he had other customers to take care of. It was pretty obvious this guy was lying since i saw no other vehicles or customers in the shop at that time. I decided to cut my losses here and decided these people obviously didnt care about helping their customers and wont be getting my money ever. On a side note... If anyone from Midas HQ is reading this. I think it would be in your best interest to reevaluate your staff at the Norwalk location

These people are crooks, they put a washer on the drain cock to my oil pan which made my oil leak. I discovered this just this weekend when I changed my oil myself. They didnt expect me to change my own oil. Took my car there for repair and ended up putting more money into repair. They loosened my rear end differential screw which drains they oil from the differential. I had to buy another LSD differential and have it replaced. Ruben is suppose to be the owner but he is the ring leader of the corruption. To sum it up when I picked my car up the mechanic said check you fluids because you have many leaks. (before I took my car to them I had 0 leaks) I got it home rear end leaked and the oil was leaking. I believe they done this to get more of my business. Needless to say after paying $1500 more to get my car fixed after they damaged it I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO MIDAS AGAIN!!!
