Fantastic Girls

I have recently moved here to Marin County, and have a storage in El Sobrante. I was stressing really bad about getting over there to pay my bill each month, since I now work here in the area. I decided to go through the hassle of once again packing all my things from El Sobrante, and hiring help to move it over here. That is until I met the most delightful employee who works at your Rush Landing Road facility. I went into the office basically dreading the expense, and the hassle of it all. Melissa took about 5 minutes, and calmed me right down. She explained to me that as much as she would love to rent me a unit and watch my things for me, I could just come in to this facility each month and pay my bill. She would handle everything for me. It has been my experience over the years bring in management for 31 years, that most regular employees dont even want to go the extra mile at their own place of employment, let alone help another facility located in another county. Let me tell you, Melissa was not only very kind, but knowledgeable regarding Public Storage. She made me feel like this company genuinely cares about its customers, and their feelings, not just renting units. This young woman represented Public Storage as if she was Public Storage. I cant think of any employer who could ever ask for more than that. I have since been telling all my friends and co-workers about Public Storage and so far, 3 of them have rented spaces from you. Who ever trained this young woman should know, she took her training and put it to good use, but she also brings all of herself and puts it into the job every single day. God bless you Public Storage, because of your employee, I know my belongings are safe and cared about.

Melissa helped me with filling out paperwork for another location; I wanted to secure a storage space for the month of November, but I wouldnt be in that other locations area until a couple of weeks later. Although Melissa wasnt sure of the policy, she called the other location to find out more information. Paperwork got faxed over, and I filled it out. I was grateful to have the option to fill out paperwork locally (Novato), so that I could secure a space to secure my vehicle at a location closer to the airport. However, a couple of things were frustrating. I had to leave the office because Melissa needed to help other customers and lock up the facility. I was ok with that, however, she didnt tell me that she was back. So I had waited outside longer than I needed to, and I already had tons of errands to run before the commuter traffic was going to start. The other thing was the other Public Storage location (near the airport) didnt get all the paperwork faxed to them; Melissa had forgotten to fax the addendum and the receipt. I then had to fax them myself; for some reason, there was an error, and I had spent 1.5 hours trying to send the fax from home, before giving up. I then put the documents in the mail. Melissa was really nice, but things could have run more smoothly. Im at least happy that I was able to secure the storage spot.

I would not recommend trying to visit this store during normal business hours. I went to this store on 3 different occasions this week during normal business hours and the store was closed. There was a sign left that the manager would return at a certain time and no one returned after I waited 15-20 minutes. It seems very unprofessional to advertise certain business hours and not be open during those hours. You might want to call before you drive all the way out to the location only to find no one home. Hopefully they answer their phone. I generously gave 1 * in order to post my dissatisfaction.

Moving a lifetime of possessions can be an exhausting experience.The Public Storage staff made the entire process substantially less painful by making certain that you got the correct storage unit for your individual needs and any packing materials necessary. The facility was clean, well lite, temperature controlled and well constructed. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms and hand carts. The security measures were not overly complex and easy to follow. The access hours of 6a.m. to 9p.m. are convenient. This has been a big improvement over a prior experience.

I was in need of a storage unit for all of my stuff when I came in to look the manager Melissa showed me the perfect unit for all my stuff.She was very helpful in getting me all the boxes and what not I needed to make sure it all was stored safely. It was a nice experience all together I would definitely say not as stressful as I thought it would be considering moving in itself is highly stressful but Melissa made it a whole lot easier. its always nice to meet people who care and show they care.Needless to say Melissa was great and Im glad we are storing here.

This was my first time needing a storage unit. Melissa is excellent! Knowledgeable, organized, and pleasant. The unit was clean and quiet. My suggestion is to know whether you need indoor or outdoor access. I probably needed outdoor but am very happy with the location. The lights are the one thing that is frustrating. They are on timers and turn off constantly when I am inside my unit working. Even with a portable light source it gets pretty dark. I would recommend this location to anyone needing a storage facility.

Melissa at the front office of 300 Rush Landing Rd, Public Storage, is very professional and courteous. The facility is very well lit and maintained. The climate control is important for people who have upholstered furniture and need to keep things mold free and be in a reasonable environment, when going through boxes from time to time. Security codes are required and trolleys are provided at both entrances. Certainly the best storage units I have seen in California.

Rented out a storage space about 2 weeks ago , very spacious . Melissa in the front was wonderful , we had originally reserved a small one and she saw our truck and still walked over to show me the small one but said she could accommodate us to a bigger one which was amazing , She was very helpful during our transition and was kind enough to bring over a cart to me when another customer was done using it . Thanks for all your help Melissa , You rock !

I recommend this location highly. It is very clean. Melissa is very professional, pleasant and a wonderful person. We had movers come to empty out our two large units and she was very accommodating to us and the moving company to make sure our experience was a pleasant one! Best storage unit place Ive ever used... Gonna miss it & Melissas kindness too! Thank you. Customer Service goes a long way with me! Ill definitely refer people I know in the area!

I cant say enough good about Melissa. Working with her getting my storage unit last minute was a breeze. She took the time to make sure I understood the unit sizes and prices and the packaging materials available here at Public Storage. Cheerfully ready to say hello and facilitate any needs that arise, she was definitely my reason for choosing this storage over a handful of other storage facilities in the area given all local pricing is comparable.
