If you drive an air-cooled VW of any sort, Brian is your man to get you what you need. Im sure he offers more in foreign parts services, but his specialty is air cooled VWs. When I call and I identify myself (Hi, its Eric with the green 70 bug), he responds, "Hows my 70 bug doing?" He takes his customer service roll seriously and to heart. This is the guy I want helping me to find something for my ancient road warrior. His store is the kind you hate going into. It has all of those great little EMPI or other associated toys that one likes to get for their vintage VW. Its like a candy store. One always leave with more than they intended to buy! I have been coming to Viking Auto Parts for about 3 years now. Brian is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to automotive parts. I have called on numerous occasions, like I did this morning at 9:00 AM to get a replacement expansion tank and cap. I asked when the parts would be in, Brian replied 2 hours. The prices for what I was looking for beat the cheapest online auto part wholesalers by at least 10% and best of all, you dont have to pay for shipping. If you have a german car, truck or SUV and are looking for some of the best deals and customer service available, look no further than Viking Autoparts in Novato.

I called a number of auto parts and tire places from Southern Marin to Novato trying to get a good price on an Interstate battery for my truck. Viking was the best by far. They had the battery I wanted in stock, gave me an additional $5 off, and didnt charge me for the core. Just asked that I return my old battery. Brian, the guy behind the counter, seems very knowledgeable and has a great attitude. Definitely going back to Viking for car parts.

I will keep my 67 bug forever just because I like having Brian as my auto guru haha. He has never steered me wrong and he will go the extra mile to help out a customer, you just dont find that anymore. If I go to Kragen or PepBoys then I get some old lady or some moron that looks like a slob behind the counter and doesnt know squat, PLUS they are more expensive! - Anthony, Rohnert Park

Each time I have gone in to this store, Brian (staff member) has backed up his boast that if V.A. does not carry it, he can get you one. Not only that, but he goes the extra step in helping a guy find a mechanic to install the part in question. A complete shop that has me driving back again and again for such great service at good prices.

You can call him and ask him what a random part is supposed to do or to troubleshoot on your vw and usually he can tell you off the top of his head if not he can find out and give you a call back right away and he can probably rattle off the part # as well ---- awesome awesome service

I was referred to these guys from the local auto parts store that had nothing for my BMW. Prices are on par with online and they have the right brands for BMW. Support local guys, buy from them. Quick service also, if they dont have it they have it same day within a few hours.
