To say that I have issues with messing up all technical appliances in my life is putting it nicely. The guys here at 1Up are so amazing, that were on a first name basis (Ive been in that often sadly). He is super helpful and friendly. He has worked in all sort of industries, and understands that I, as a server, am consistently short on large sums of money. Not only is he okay with me coming in a paying small bits towards the things I get fixed, they are fixed with AMAZING quality. If you ever need something fixed from a shattered screen, to a hard drive crash on a computer, he will fix it very quickly. This place is amazing, and even when I move from West Campus, I will always always ALWAYS come back to him with anything going on in with my phone and computers.

I have gone to YY Computer for several years now. They have helped me with personal and business computer matters. Sometimes I have needed very tight turnaround on repairs and they have always been able to deliver. More recently I have purchased some new computers from them. I have been very pleased with these purchases, too. They are professional, provide great service, their prices are more than fair. The bothers that own the store are always very pleasant to deal with. I have recommended them to many people in the offline world and felt compelled to share my great experience with them online. This is an excellent "go-to" local resource for anyone who lives or works near Downtown Oakland.

I was very unsure about this place when I looked at it the first few times that I noticed it while walking by, but after going in and dealing with them, I find them to be a great place to deal with. Not the greatest selections in the world for stuff, but I have found them to be very friendly and the prices are very competitive. If you are are looking to deal with a Independent store over a "Big Box", check them out.

I bought a toshiba laptop from this guy Hue, but he states his name is Kevin. I found his listing on Craigslist but he also forwarded me to his eBay feedback (user 7ucky1011) - Which appeared to be reasonable (until I view the feedback he left for others - youch). Anyways, I got the laptop repaired using a different oakland computer repair company - I would recommend avoiding this one.

i checked 2 or 3 places to see what kind a deal that im gonna get to fix my computer, but the pricing were realy expensive. i took it to this place YY computer in jackson st, i got it fixed with half price than others and fast, everyone else was asking to leave it for 4 to 5 days, but in this place it took me about 3 hours... i love it, very nice costumer service

I bought a used laptop from YY computer in Oakland, and it worked for about a week, but then the screen went dark. I called Kevin (his actual name: Hue), but he simply hung up on me, and then blocked my number! I think that a less-than-a-week warranty is a bit ridiculous, and would not do business with them again.

Prices are good and service is prompt. They checked out my laptop and sold me a power cord (which fixed my problem) without any extra charge, and the power cord was very reasonably priced and works just great. Dont hate!

I am very happy with this computer repair service. I have brought several lap tops there to be repaired and I have purchased several used laptops there. They have always been wonderful.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! The service is terrible, and the owner, "Huey" or Kevin Quan, is very rude and confrontational. I would never do business with them again.

Im really surprised by the negative reviews. Weve had about 5 repairs done on 3 different laptops. Theyve always been timely and inexpensive.
