This review is not so much on the color I received as that service was adequate, my true gripe is with the lousy customer service- actually no customer service. I arrived at my appointment on time to wait 25 minutes before my stylist was ready- but my stylist had called off the day before unbeknownst to me and I had not been properly informed. Since I had only seen my previous stylist twice, I didnt quite recognize the person I was booked with so I said, "you look different? Did you change your hair? You have seen me before right?" Answer: "yes, I have seen you". Off she goes to mix my color; as she is putting it in I say again, "you look so different?" Anyway long story short she saw me sitting in someone elses chair. By this time I have color all over my head- I say, "you do know what color I use?"- "No- I guessed". I begin to complain and ask the receptionist why I wasnt informed properly about the switch. The owner, Ms. Ortega Sr. says I left you a message yesterday- she did not. She had called and we lost connection and I simply thought she was reminding me of my appointment. She left no message about the switch. She had no care about my feelings about being switched- she just changed me around as if my concerns were not even to be considered. She apparently is more focused on a sale than on pleasing her clientele. Ms. Orteg Sr. was rude and dismissive and stated that I had the responsibility to call her back. She continued to patronize me throughout my session by stepping in between conversations I was having with the new stylist. She was condescending and arrogant of my concerns at being switched without care or concern. I had been going to that salon for two years. I will not go back- if this is how you treat faithful customers you just lost one.

I came to this salon to get my hair color completely redone. I showed Brittany and her mom (the owner I think) the picture of what I wanted. The mom said she thought they should use a mixture of colors and when I came back for my appointment the next day Brittany said she didnt agree with her mom and thought that she should use a other color. She showed me the swatch and it looked like the color I wanted so I agreed. It took a couple of hours for my appointment and when I left I was in a hurry so I didnt look too closely at my hair. It appeared not exactly what I wanted but Im not usually one to gripe too much. I had at lunch date with a friend and she immediately said my hair looked really coppery, especially the high concentration of highlights in the front. And she said it looked nothing like the color I wanted. I went home and she was right. So I called brittany to express my concern to her and she said she couldnt do anything to fix it for a week. Having spent the small fortune already I decided I would have to wait the week and have her probably start over. But later that afternoon I saw another friend who I had sent the picture of the color I was going to get and right away she asked me what happened. She asked why I was got this horrible copper color instead of the warm reddish brown I was had been wanting for weeks. I ended up going to another salon to have them fix Brittanys mistake. If she would have apologized and gone out of her way to make it right right away I wouldnt have a bad word to say about this place. But trying to pass off the blame for for the mistake and then not be willing to fix it for a week is just unacceptable if you ask me!!! I wont go here again. And I wouldnt recommend it to anyone I talk to.

I am visiting from NC and wanted to get a new hairstyle. My hair is usually pretty difficult to cut/style correctly, since it is partly curly and partly straight. Lauren took her time and made sure to cut only what was necessary to get rid of damage and create a good style, so I kept most of the length like I wanted. Sincerely wish I could move here, because this is the kind of service I hope for. The pricing is amazing for the level of care I received.

As a Texan coming in for a wedding, I happened upon this place via Google. Very glad I did! I got in quickly and the stylist (Selena, if I remember correctly) was extremely good. For a guys cut and that level of service, the price was a steal. I would most certainly recommend it.

The Hair Lounge is the "BEST". The stylist are and atmosphere are great! Affordable great hair products... Love love Morocco oil line they carry.
