I am. Or adding to this review. Today I was refused and denied access for myself and my service dog. I was told by Ellen at the front door I had to show her proof my dog was a service animal. I educated her that there is no such thing legally. She said that there is and people do have an ID card showing proof. I educated her once again that those are fake and illegal. They are printed off the internet for a feee and most people who have one of those do not have a real service dog. I informed her that she is only allowed by law to ask two questions. Is the animal a service dog and if yes then what type of service dog is it. I advised her multiple times and that I would be filing am official complaint. Her supervisor came out and I advised her the same and she also refused to allow access. I told them several times they are breaking the law. I told them what my dog was trained for but they refused to allow me in. I recorded most of the interaction and have proof. The law is very clear and easy to read and can be found on the ADA website. 2010 title 3 ADA regulation to be used and go into effect march 15, 2011. - 28CFR Section 36.302 paragraph (6) I will call and file an official complaint with the post master directly and advise them of the law with a witness. I will then attempt to carry on with my normal business after educating them on the law. If they continue to refuse service after being informed a 2nd time I will file an official complaint with the ADA and the post master General as well as file a civil suit. This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with ever. The male at the counter is the rudest if them all. He is arrogant and acts like hes better than everyone else. I have heard him time and time again tell customers no simply because he did not want to do something. Hes told customers to go somewhere else or try later that he didnt have time to deal with it. He told me the other day while dealing with a key issue "We dont care" those were his exact words. The other ladys were laughing like it was a joke. Its funny how me being disabled and having to waste my time and suffering going up there isnt his problem. Before Christmas they changed the locks on our mailbox due to a break in. No one has any idea what to do there. Ive wasted 3 trips there as well as 2 phone calls to be told as of yesterday that I am responsible and have to pay to have a new lock put on my mail Box. When have you ever heard of such a thing? Never in my life have I heard that someone has to call a locksmith and pay $50-$100 to have a lock changed that belongs to te post office? They keep trying to tell me that my box belong to a private community and it does not. I live in a house on a street with other homes. Its all public and they dont know what to do so they just respond with whatever lame excuse they can. It has been over a month and they are making me a disabled person drive in to check the mail at the office because of their incompetence. This last if customer service should not be tolerated. And to come here and see all if the complaints just confirms how terrible this office truly is. They are lazy, dumb, arrogant and refuse to help anyone with anything. Also the other reviews are all correct. I asked about mailing a plant and she looked at me like I was an idiot and told me goto the website and read whatever it says. I also tried calling back at 9am and the phone just rang and rang and rang. No answer. I really hope people start filing official complaints against this office. It really is bad.

I had a terrible experience at this Post Office thanks to the clerk who asked me about my media mail (it was old books) - she acted suspicious and a few days later I found out the person who received my box of books found them all to be mangled - the box was sliced open and closed again, yet more than 3/4 of the books were missing, and the ones that remained, were in terrible shape - I wound up having to refund the person over $200. The post office claimed innocence, even though when I checked online it showed it as having been inspected there. They destroyed my package in their incompetence, and were rude to me both times I went there to ask about what steps to take. The manager literally told me to use UPS instead for anything with weight, and that media mail is thrown around like a football. There was no apology. It was made to sound as if it was my fault. I sent packages like this many times at the post office in Thousand Palms and NEVER had an issue - on top of it, - no waits at Thousand Palms, incredibly friendly, and they help you if the package doesnt look good enough to mail or if you need a label. Palm Springs East Amado Road post Office is truly a disgrace. They destroyed beloved books from my childhood that I was selling due to the economy, and I wound up losing money out of it, and was treated poorly from beginning to end. I will never go here again. Damage claim for over 2 years ago still not paid. Staff now gone too. No one knows anything. Have filed complaints on line over and over. Was been sent to St. Louis too and a month ago was "new" special package with all the papers was sent "again" and no update. Inspector in S.Louis wants receipts and I tell his is from 35 years ago. Is a total idiot. Even has an reporter from the local TV station come and do a short piece. I complained on Craigs List and either had one person harass me or another confirm he also had a Hummel statue damaged and they refused to pay and complaints filed now to "The Hague" which seems a bit odd. How about the insurance of $5000 which only covers half the repairs, since this is rare museum quality china from 1841. None in the UK museums (where I have loaned pieces to display years ago) and the one US museum that only has 4-5 minor pieces. When I wanted to photograph the pieces at the PO (still there) this was refused too. Sorry can not attached any images for documentation. An error in your site. Also appears no way to cc me for my files.

Unbelievable! The worst post office. 1.) They cannot or refuse to answer their phones. I either get a busy signal that lasts forever or it rings and rings and rings. They have been this way with their phones for years! 2.) My most recent problem concerns a UPS SurePost package with tracking that shows the package went to the PS post office for delivery to me and it has not been delivered and is somewhere lost in the post office for 3 weeks. This is not the first time Ive had problems. 3.) Our postal carrier continues to deliver small parcels sticking out of the mail box or balanced on top for anyone to steal. 4.) They are not computer savvy, so when Im traveling for extended periods and put data in the USPS website for mail forwarding - the Palm Springs post office can not get it right and my mail ends up bouncing back and forth to the wrong location at the wrong time. Not all post offices are like this! We have had good experiences elsewhere. Palm Springs Main Post Office on Amado Road in PS gets an F.
