I called to check if they had a head light bulb for my Honda Accord. Honda dealerships charge $13. for the part and install it as a courtesy. Ron Ramies Automotive Inc. works on slightly different principles. The technician, Peter Kavenaugh (name listed on invoice) installed it in less than 5 minutes (about as quick as it takes at the Honda dealerships). The bill was another story. First they tried to charge me $56 and when I protested, dropped the price to $42,91. I paid and left never to return. I had several head lights replaced in that model. Each time it took under 5 minutes and nobody charged more than $15... CORRECTION! a few months later....We traveled outside the country this Summer and when we came back there were several messages from Ron Ramies waiting on our phone. Apologizing profusely for the wrong charge, he insisted on reimbursing the entire sum. Hmm, in all my life it never happened that an auto repair shop bothered to reimburse a wrong charge. So, kudos to Ron Ramies for his honesty and I feel better about human nature. Oh, and before my little glitch with the headlight, I had only heard good things about Rons repair shop.

WOW! Great service and expertise!! My first time there was due my trucks "low tire pressure" light which came on late Friday afternoon. I cruised into the shop and w/in 10 minutes, all tires had been checked, the culprit identified and stabilized to safely get me through the weekend, and two new tires were on the way for Monday. I cruised back in Monday morning and the new tires were on in about half the time I anticipated. And they have 24 hour gas pumps! Super excited to have found this local gem!!!

Ron Ramies and his team provide trustworthy and high quality service. I originally sought a second opinion from Ron when the Toyota dealer in Palo Alto told me I needed a new engine when my car had 40K miles on it. Ron investigated and discovered the dealer had begun putting the wrong type of oil in my car. Once he replaced the oil in my engine and began using the correct type of oil, my car ran perfectly. I trust Ron and believe he is an advocate for the consumer.

Ramies has been servicing cars in our family for several years now. We trust these guys to do the job correctly, on time, and without surprises. Before any additional work is preformed, we are always called for the go-ahead (or not). I like the fact that they give us a heads-up on future needs (brakes, tires, etc.). The rating would be 5 stars except they didnt wash my very dirty Porsche this last time. (Maybe the severe drought is the reason.) Ill be back.

One of the Best but its a little Pricey, on the other hand you will never pay for something your car doesnt need, unlike some locations. They also stand behind their work and will on occasion fix stuff for free - a rare commodity in todays auto repair world !!! You cant go wrong going to Rons if you cant fix it yourself ! As mentioned before in other reviews, Mike, Patricia and crew are top notch.

Its really great to have a place to get my car serviced and fixed locally!! Im really grateful the garage is here!! I had a smog inspection and a head light replaced. They fit me in st a time that worked for me. They were efficient and courteous. The shop is very clean and well organized. Ill go back!
