Tried them out at LA Food Fest and was not a fan of the big black burnt charcoal spots on the pizza. Wanted to like this sort of concept but the pizza was average flavor besides the burnt spots and the price 10+ for a small pizza with little on it as well :( And to the one review poster above defending the business just look at pictures of their pizza it has large black burnt char spots on it having been to Italy and eaten loads of wood fired pizza this is not normal for this cuisine just look at any large places pics 800 degrees etc. Also the pizzas coming out looked like someone just took a handful of ingredients and threw them on top ... sad pizza ...

I have had this pizza several times in the last few months. By far the best Napoletana style pizza I have ever had! The ingredients are fresh and the presentation of the pizzas are truly an authentic handcrafted art. Every pizza has its own unique handcrafted style and taste. Crispy wood fired crust and fresh clean ingredients. If you want a pizza drowned in sauce, or a fat doughy crust, give Dominos or Pizza Hut a call. My hat is off to you Urban Oven! Keep up the good work.

I had tried them once a Playa Vista Farmers Market and thought man this pizza is way light and flavorless and I never bothered to get it again. I then saw they were on TV and a movie or something so I thought well maybe they got their act together ... nope uber light crust tastes like a cracker burnt crust and very little sauce and flavor ... not even close to anything coming out of celebrity chef cuisine ...

Sorry I wanted to like this artisan pizza but what is up with the burnt pizza? Dark Big Black spots on the pizza I have never seen this pushed by a wood fired company before they told this is how they like it? So 1 star on the burnt, 2 stars on flavor and 5 stars on a unique option at LA Food Fest (well for now I guess).

The wood-fired pizza here is very delicious. Some people complain about the crust being too dark or too crunchy, however thats how it is supposed to be. If u like ur crust softer, just ask them to make it that way when you order it.

Just got to give it a 5 star to balance out those comment, obviously those people never had an actual Italian pizza before.
