This is my goto option for getting healthy chicken meals. They have a great "under 500 calorie menu" that has some great selections. Overall their menu has a great selection and even has some moderately priced family meal options if you have a lot of people to feed and need to get a meal quickly.

I have been going to El Pollo Loco for over 20 years - when there were only two locations - Manhattan Beach and downtown LA. Finally found a location that brings back the true taste of El Pollo Loco that the Romero family strived for and maintained in the mid-eighties.

Always consistent and "cheap" in a good way. I recommend the ceasar chicken salad. They recently changed their crispy taco shell and Im not a fan. The 2 piece meal is always a winner.

Depending on the cook, some times its great and sometimes you get a cilantro stem burrito that just kills your meal. They used to have soup, hence the 2 stars... bring back the soups.
