I have been a happy and loyal patron of B&W for over 15 years. I trust Bill and Wayne to diagnose the issues, fix them, and give honest advise. I have never felt pressured to have work done; I have always been given their real diagnosis and the work that needed to be done gets done in a timely and professional manner. They will even tell me when a repair or issue can wait and offer money saving options. In the mechanic world, it is extremely hard to find decent and honest people, and I am happy to say I have found that very shop. Their entire staff are kind and curtious, and you never feel like a bother to them. All three of my children and my wife take their cars there, knowing they are getting quality work, no unnecessary BS, and (most importantly) coming home with a safe car... In this day and age of terrible customer service, B&W knows true family business integrity, honesty, and dedication.....The way most businesses used to be. 5 stars without a doubt.

Had a sound coming from under the car. Took it to B&W in the morning. Charged me $120 to inspect it. Happens to be a rock or a nut in the exhaust/catalytic converter portion on the passenger side (Firebirds have two catalytic converters). He tells me I need to replace both the converters, and calls up the parts dealer and tells me they cost about $700 each. I check the part cost online on my phone and find that these converters for a 2002 firebird cost anywhere from $70 to $300 (depending on just a part or the whole kit), not $700 each. So, I paid him $120 for labor, all he did was raise the car on a lift and hit the bottom to figure out what was making the noise. He didnt open the exhaust/converter (which would have taken him all but 15 mins to do), he didnt offer to remove the nut or rock or whatever was clanking inside. Charged me a full hour of labor for raising a car on a lift and hitting the bottom? Definitely not a place I will ever goto again.

The video testimonial does an excellent job representing B&W Service Center. Fair, honest, trust-worthy, and a caring group of staff who are friendly and efficient in getting your car in its tip top shape. They are super pro-active about keeping your car well maintained so you can avoid a larger bill down the road. Super organized, clean, and they have now a lovely garden in front. As a woman I can say that Ive never felt intimidated going to this shop, and I have been going there for 10 years+. They educate me well on the issues with the car, and they empower me to make the right choices for my car. Because of this Ive been having a great running car for the last 10 years. Cant recommend these guys enough. I send all my friends here. If I were to move down to LA, I would still come to these guys. Thats how good they are.

They are always super duper quick getting my autos fixed, they always do what they say they will, and its within walking distance from my house. I go to them loyally and am happy with their work. Only negative is, they *can* be expensive, the expense can be a big surprise, and I just wish I felt trustful of their opinions. Sometimes I have felt really taken. But come on. What do you want in a mechanic. Thats what they do. Honest, I do think sometimes they charge too much. But the work is always perfect from the start, always reliable. They fix it right and it stays fixed. My cars have never disappeared in there for days. For the worst repair, its a day or two. I love that, so I will keep coming back. Have done so for 12 years, and I agree a lot with the other poster---they love talking cars with women and respect us.

Super nice guys...though I had a bit of sticker shock! $140/hr for labor. They didnt give me a breakdown of the work estimate, I trusted them, but was expecting the $120/hr I had paid last I was in in Feb. Also, this is the second time theyve done work on one of my vehicles, before actually getting my approval. I know youre doing what you feel is best for me, or what you feel I would approve, but it would feel better if you followed the appropriate protocol, as the Estimate approvals on my form are not what I was told on the phone. Again, super nice guys, I trust them, but please make sure you get approval for your work first and that the numbers are what you quote.

Ive been taking my cars to Brake and Wheels for the past 8 years, and they exceeded my expectations every time. The service is always quick and prices are very reasonable. They always check with you before ordering parts and will tell how much it will cost you. Thanks to them, most of my visits are quick, inexpensive and painless - mainly oil changes and preventative maintenance. Im very thankful that Ive been referred to Bill and Wayne, the owners, many years ago by one of my best friends, and ever since Ive been referring all of my friends to Brake and Wheel as well, and everyone is thrilled with their knowledge, quality and pricing. Highly recommended.

Ive been bringing in my own car and my former company cars (while I was working there) for more than 10 years. The owners and staff have always provided me with excellent service, advice, and current sports and car stories for all that time (who knew that most tires are made outside the U.S.?). The shop is across town but my confidence in Bill, Wayne, and the staff is worth the trip. Plus, its a good indicator of weather change to see Bill always wearing his shorts but putting on a light jacket when the temperature drops during the Mission cold season.

We have been taking our cars to B & W Service Center for many many years. (even our new cars instead of a dealer for service) It is so reassuring to know that you can TRUST this mechanic shop. Whether it is for an oil change, tires, maintenance issues, etc., the work is always done efficiently and in a timely manner. Even when my kids were away at school with cars, we would schedule services at Brake and Wheel whenever they came home for a break. Would not trust our cars to anyone else. Bill and Wayne are THE car men of San Francisco!!!

Ive been going to B&W for about 9 years now. They provide great service at fair prices. Ive had several experiences now where Ive brought in my car and they didnt charge me for service because it was something minor. I had an issue with my brakes that I had to come in a couple times for and they kept working on it until it was fixed right with no extra charges. They are responsive and friendly and have kept my 96 Toyota running well past its normal life. I trust that they will only fix whats necessary and do a good job with it.

Bill and Wayne are genuinely great people. I truly trust in any advice they give regarding mechanical issues I may(or may not) have with my car. Sometimes when I sense my car is acting funny(2003 Volvo V40), Bill or Wayne would tell me that its a simple fix, rather than something major and expensive which I just naturally assumed Its nice to know, I as the consumer, have options. I am grateful to have mechanics I can trust who provide thorough and excellent service. Thank you, B&W Service Center.
