Crunch seems to have nice facilities in a good location. Everything was as clean as I could expect, and the woman giving me the tour guide seemed very knowledgeable. She did pull one of the famous salesman tricks of blending the sign-up with the tour in a very sly fashion. I liked the place enough I thought I would go for it, although I was not planning on deciding right then. Four stars are taken off because of how pushy she was with personal training. She herself was not a personal trainer, which I found interesting. While I was open to personal training and would consider it down the road, I did not want to take it because of how pushy and rude she was about it. I understand it is her personal recommendation and would probably be even better for me than going to a gym at all, but even if Im shooting myself in the foot I expect to be allowed to do it with a decent sense of respect. Ive let other customer shoot themselves in the foot, and while I encourage them not to, I know at least to be happy they are a customer at all and hope I can help them further down the road. Furthermore, one of my coworkers relayed that one of the personal trainers said she was obese and basically a loser for not signing up for personal training. That really upsets me, because shes not obese, and they have no business giving customers personal attacks. I dont know for certain if that was a resident personal trainer or not, but the sad thing is that I can believe it would happen there. My understanding is that most personal trainers are paid very heavily off of commission and make little base wage, so it encourages the behavior. I think the tour guides (Im sure they do more than that; I dont know what else to call them) are also fiscally incentivized to push their customers towards personal training, ultimately, whether they need it or not. I dont know for certain how Crunch is ran, but this has put a very bad taste in my mouth. While the response of the employees could have been better, it feels to me that there is something fundamentally wrong with the company that needs a lot of work. Unless there are drastic changes, I will not continue beyond my 12 month agreement. There must be better gyms out there that dont give this kind of treatment, and I intend to find them.

I have been using this location for six months now. Customer service is below par. Locker room is outdated. Some cut the lock in the mens locker room and stole my work laptop. When I reported this to the staff member, her instant response was,"sorry we are not liable for your loss". There was no empathy or any desire to assist. Now on the positive note, members are generally nice and it is a clean place.

It is small, but thats not what the 3stars is for. Its for the dirty and ripped shower curtains, the gross floors, the old and outdated locker room-- the ny crunch gyms were revamped, not sure why the west coast Crunchs cant be cleaned up and simple (new shower curtains, bowed shower bar to make the shower stall larger, clean steam room) changes made.

Took a pilates class via ClassPass--instructor was good but the room itself smelled HORRIBLE. honestly made me gag a couple times. I told the front desk staff and they agreed and said its been a long standing issue. Dont go unless youve got a very strong stomach.

This gym is kind of a nightmare to first sign up because they consistently pressure you to sign up for a personal trainer. I suspect this is how they make most of their money. They leave you alone after a couple of weeks when they realize youre not signing up.

Good location and good selection of classes. Showers and dressing area in womens changing room could do with a bit of refresh. Stretching area in gym is very small and often crowded. Overall good value for money with my corporate discount.

Ive been a member for a few months and have enjoyed this gym a lot. It can be a little over crowded right after work, but its deserted on weekends. They offer a good variety of classes and have pretty nice locker room facilities.

They are such scam- it is very overpriced and they make it nearly impossible to quit this gym. Dont sign up!
