@work has been playing a lot of games with me. The pay period before Christmas they shorted me on 8hours, they called and notified me to let me know there error which is understandable. The pay period after that I noticed my check was short again some hours. I waited and called @work and spoke with a gentleman by the name of John, supposedly the owner of the company. He was very helpful and told me that the temporary work site I was at only had me down for 3days of work, I said ok and said ima talk to the temporary work site and have them send my hours in. I went in got verified on the day john said i wasnt there, and the work site said they were gonna email @work. next pay period rolls around and I notice my pay check is still short, so I call @work again, spoke with a young women by the name of mellissa, I told her my situation and what was going on and if she could look to see what was going, mellissa told me they had me down for 30hours that pay period, working 26 and receiving a extra 4, she said that maybe I did get paid for it, I said "no John told me I was missing 8hours" she put me on hold and went to go consult with John about what was said to me. When we got back on the phone mellissa stated that John had informed me of my missing hours and that I was OK with it. If I was OK with it then why was there a extra 4hours on my check? Why would you randomly put 4extra hours on a check? Just recently I was told if I worked January 1st and the 2nd Id receive time and a half, I just got a raise to 13$ which makes my time in a half 19$ a hour. I worked 3days this pay period and received 286$ as payment. I feel like crying cause I been busting my behind taking 2 Barts and a bus from Hayward to Richmond just to get to work and basically work a couple days for free.

The interview process from submitting my resume for a position online to the offer stage and reference check was the most efficient, fast and complete I have ever experienced as a candidate. I received a call minutes from the time I applied and was screened and scheduled for a face to face interview within a week. I was also kept in the loop and updated as my references were complete or pending. @Work should serve as the role model for most companies in the Bay Area as the best practices model for an efficient and complete hire process.
