When I first contacted Walter at Harding Auto Repair I expected that my appointment would be scheduled within a week or so. Instead, I was asked to bring my car in the next morning for the full days repair work. When I showed up the place was packed with cars and I wondered if, in fact, the extensive work on my car would be completed that day. Yes it was. And the rest of my experience just kept getting better and better from that point on. I was treated with respect and enthusiasm by everyone there. And the results Ive experienced with my cars performance have proven to me that my car gets that same respect and attention that I do.They even ask that I stop by a week after they work on my car to make sure everything is running as best it can. Im a loyal customer now and they continue to do exceptional work at reasonable prices. I highly recommend you give them a try.

A bit unrealistic to assume, perhaps, but if every independent auto shop operated like Walter Harding, the maintenance department of new car dealership would be out of business soon. When you combine fair prices with high quality work the customers will always come back to you. Walter learned that a long time ago. He and his superb crew have been taking care of my cars for the past 30+ years and I have always been very satisfied with the results. The only problem you might run into is scheduling the work to be done since Walters customers come back regularly and the shop is not exactly the largest one in town...and there is a limit to the number of hours in the day. I recommend Walter Harding without any reservation whatsoever!

A great community minded operation doing great work in auto repair. Can be trusted to be competent, honest, open, conscientious and fair as they identify the problem, fix it, and communicate. With excellent form and documentation, they (Walter) went right into action, demonstrating insight and efficient team work, diagnosing the problem and fixing it. Their resourcing of parts was generally impressive. For obscure and inaccessible parts on my old discontinued vehicle, they demonstrated committment and extended resourcefulness to perform an immaculate repair. Great Work Harding Team! Thank you!

I have always believed that there are certain service providers that are essential for me and my family, a good auto shop is one of them. I am fortunate to have found the best one in my own neighborhood. I have been going to Harding Auto Repair for a few years now and I am always impressed with the level of work and care they take with my cars. I never have to ask them to check any system in my car, they do it as a matter of policy. Their work is exceptional but even more, they are friendly and honest. a friend recommended walter to me after id had trouble with other repair shops. they do a great job here. they are thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. walter always tries to find me a deal on parts, and gives me little discounts when he can. he also gives me a loaner while my car is in the shop, something ive never gotten from another repair place. he explains everything that is being done, and why. i highly recommend walter and his great team!

If youre in the Southbay, you need to be familiar with Walters shop. He is realistic and will work with you to find the best solution to your car problem. He even loaned me his personal car to go pick up some parts I found at a better price! Dont go to the dealer, go see Water in San Jose instead.

Walter has a nice shop. I could tell he had the experience I was looking for to get some work done on my 1988 535i. The work was done well and in a timely manner and Mr. Harding was a gentleman to work with. The next projects or repairs I have on my old e28 will land at Harding Auto!
