Suddath Relocation Systems of Northern California, Inc. (United Van Lines) has been the worst movers and packers for me. If I start listing down all their complaints it would easily take 1-2 pages. Just highlighting few here: They did not carry any Shrink wraps with them (in spite of me telling them a number of times before). That’s what they promised when the sales guy showed up. Moreover that’s the basic steps. How can one get that wrong? But they did! Even after complaining them on the day of load about it the crew was hesitant to go back and get the shrink wrap. The Furniture pads were so dirty it seems like they hadn’t been cleaned since ages (I could literally see dirt particles sticking to them). And these guys who call themselves professional movers and packers started wrapping my furniture including my Sofa, loveseat with those dirty furniture pads. I had to ask them to stop. And I had to go out and get a shrink wrap myself to protect my furniture. During the loading time they misplaced one of my boxes which they were not ready to accept. The loading crew manager (Daniel) was not ready to accept it. Arrogance. And even without verifying it they sent the Shuttle to their warehouse. As a result I had to travel to their warehouse in Sunnyvale and help them trace that missing box (luckily which I finally got). On the day of load I wanted to change the coverage to Basic coverage (as compared to the full coverage which I had initially opted). This was in line with valuation change clause that they had on their Bill of Lading document. But their move coordinator (Emily) says I can’t do that. She says that she doesn’t care what the paper says but I can’t do that. They were indeed a group of jerks! Would never recommend them again to anyone. If I wanted this kind of service I would have gone ahead with a cheap movers and packers. There was no point in paying them a premium (close to $2k) for a 1 bedroom move from Santa Clara, CA to Seattle, WA.

We were moved to the Bay Area for a job so the company we work for choose Suddath. Our shipment from the East coast was put into storage for one week. At delivery, we found our entertainment center and a desk broken, a bookcase in pieces and many of our smaller items broken. They also lost a large area rug with padding, large kitchen mat and a 15 year old, irreplaceable framed picture. The delivery crew was very friendly and worked hard, but we are extremely disappointed with the condition our household goods arrived in 10/23/15 James, we have contacted the transportation officer and have also settled a claim with Suddath. That does not negate the fact that our household goods were not well taken care of while in Suddaths possession. I would much rather have had all of my household goods delivered the way they were packed than have a check from the company.

Horrible experience! Pack day was awesome from start point and the delivery guys were outstanding( who are the real people that do the work) but the ones that sit behind the desk are terrible. They send you an email 30mins after they are gone til tomorrow. Half my things broken and was noted on their so called bingo sheet and yet still awaiting a call from them. Not impressed at all. They were suppose to unpack as discussed but they never did. Whitney smith told me at start point that the guy who took the furniture down will come back out to put them back together(Lie). My furniture was put back together wrong with pieces laying around that I dont even know. So much for rest assured, clearly no leadership or whatsoever or follow through to solution and customer satisfaction.

Hey Rodney
It was great. They showed up and packed everything. Then the movers showed up and took everything and then said they would deliver whenever we were ready. So, 2 days later we were in our new place and they arrived and had it all unloaded quickly. The saying is that good help is hard to find, but I was impressed at both ends of the move and how hard everyone worked. Im not sure the motivation, but these guys were impressive, and I consider myself a hard worker. No damage to either apartment and or my goods. We were initially stressed about how long we would be without our goods and trying to decide what we would need, since I had to start work immediately upon arriving. After it was all said and done, I would do it again.

Careful, thoughtful moving company - We used Suddath for our residential move in-town. Our coordinator Emily was so professional and helpful, she called us multiple times throughout the process to make sure we had everything taken care of, and so we knew exactly how to label things for a seamless transition to our new home. The estimator was very quick and clear on what made sense for our move, and suggested hanging boxes for our coats to make life simpler. They even put ikea beds together, which if youve ever assembled ikea the first time..you can only imagine how much work a second assembly would be.

I moved from Ukraine to CA, USA (thats 10 hours difference!) with Suddath. Everything was just perfect. They keep you informed of every step, suggest you available options and they are always ready to change anything you ask for. They really try to make the relocation smooth and convenient. They handle all the paperwork, including customs clearance and insurance, communicate with their service partners on your behalf etc. If I ever have to move again, I will definitely move with Suddath. Special thanks to Carissa Sitz who coordinated my relocation so great!

This was my first move using Suddath for corporate relocation. The overall move was as seamless as possible. They were timely and professional throughout the process. Everything in our house was packed appropriately, so nothing arrived scratched or broken. Also, during loading and unloading, the moving crew was cautious to ensure that they did not scratch any walls of our house. My wife and I were very pleased with their performance and would recommend them in the future.

I hope people will avoid this company. First they did awful job unpacking, then they forge your signature to avoid paying for any damage. When it comes down to pay for the damage after accepting their employees wrongdoing, they have hard time paying for the damage, rather avoiding to communicate. It is more pain in the neck than the moving itself!! It is all about the service. You want the right service, choose other company!

From the initial walk through to the actual move in process, things went really great with Suddath. Their pricing was really fair and competitive, they were thorough and their movers were a great group of guys who actually enjoyed their jobs! Everyone was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were having a good experience...and when youre moving, thats not easy! I would highly recommend Suddath.

I have been working with Suddath for almost 5 years now on several different construction projects. Their service is outstanding and the crews are fantastic! Many of the crew members have been with Suddath for a number of years. Faculty can be difficult to work with. Suddath crews do what is needed without complaints or issues. They are careful, contentious and courteous. I would highly recommend Suddath.

Suddath did a terrific job moving my family across the bay. The estimate was almost spot on, great crew, thorough and professional team lead. Great people all around. The move coordinator checked in regularly and it all came off without a hitch - and we had almost a completely full truck with lots and lots of books. Kept to the schedule. Couldnt really have gone any better.
