I moved from Blairsville GA to the Sacramento area in November 2014 and used 1-800-PACK-RAT to move my personal belongings. What a great service! I told them what day I wanted them to deliver the empty container to me and what day I wanted them to come back and pick it up. On each of the days the driver called me in the morning to tell me what time he expected to arrive (I lived about 2 hours away, up in the mountains). Then he also called me again about 45 minutes before arriving. I didnt need my belongings delivered right away after I got to CA, so they were able to give me an additional discount for accepting a 30 day delivery instead of their normal 10 day delivery. I actually ended up storing the container in their storage facility for about 2 months. When I found a place to live, I called them up and made arrangements for the container to be delivered to my new home in 2 days! Again, the driver called me the morning of the delivery to let me know when he would arrive and he arrived on time. All of my belongings were in good condition. I got the container unloaded in a couple of days and then they came back and picked it up. No hassles, no unexpected added charges, no surprises. The whole process just worked the way it was supposed to. If I ever have to move long distance again (God forbid) I will definitely call 1-800-PACK-RAT again.

I moved from Long Beach, CA to Sacramento, CA. Using PackRAT was super-convenient, easy and the moving-expense was very reasonable. I couldnt unload my 3 pods all at once so I had to store them at the Sacramento Packrat facility. The Packrat representative (Kevin) was great. He had my pods ready when I needed them for unloading and on the hot summer days when I unloaded the pods, he gave me a bottle of cold water to help me through the heat (96F to 106F). Amazingly he remembered my name and knew my pods without me even having to give my pod numbers; I wasnt used to that small-town, everybody-knows-everybody feeling that I got-I really felt at home dealing with this Packrat facility.

They are closed on Sundays but I called in advance and had them pull out my containers on Saturday so that I would have access to them. I got a good deal for a long distance move. Two containers 8x8x16 from Dallas, TX to Sacramento, CA for about $2K each. I wasnt looking for anything fancy, and as far as I can tell nothing is broken.

Took 3 weeks for my storage to get to Sacramento from Florida and when I complained on Twitter and we messaged each other the same day they said it arrived so If it really arrived that day or not because the other storage unit i sent out after those 2 first ones came before so idk hoe that makes sense

Excellent service & friendly drivers! Pack Rats pods hold more weight & stay level while being loaded onto the transport trucks while others pull (angled) their pods & shift the contents. Great company, will use them every time!
