I read the negative customer service reviews and just called to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am an executive here on business, and lift in local gyms eveywhere I go. I called to ask details about working out in the morning, and was told visitors can only workout from 9am - 9pm by "Megan". When I shared I would need to workout earlier she shared its policy and apologized. When I asked to speak with a manager she shared they had all gone home. This is definitely a poorly managed operation, that is not interested in earning money, new / return business, or postive feed back. If a gym is this ignorant in their business practices I wouldnt step foot in the door to jump rope - which of course probably has some rediculous stipulation. Ill take my business elsewhere, and direct all of my colleagues and others to a professionally ran gym with realistic hours for all.

I called Club 24 today 8/13 1:30pm) and I asked if I could buy a membership so that I could come and take showers for a couple of days. My Father is in Hospice and Ive been staying with him 24 hours a day. I asked if I could buy day passes. The girl on the phone told me that I could NOT do that because I wasnt going to work out...couldnt make this up if I tried! I asked if they offered a monthly pass (even though my Father might not make it through the night). She told me that it was $99.00, but that she would "get in trouble" for selling me one because I wasnt going to work out. I asked to speak to a Manager and she put me on hold until I finally hung up. This is THE WORST BUSINESS that I have ever encountered. Hopefully this review is read BEFORE you spend a dime at this facility. This is absolutely unconscionable.

One of the WORST customer service I have received in my life, not to mention the owner is RACIST. My son and I enjoyed this place for a while, when we move to another side of the town were found out that wasnt a gym near us, the closest one was 30 minutes away which we decide to cancel the subscription. Well since then its been a literally pain in my budget....not just I have top pay the next 30 days but the 30 days after plus $25.00 fee for cancellation. And we were a two....So they say one member last payment werent thorough because no funds....so they charge $25.00 late fee!!! Really? So after I cancel, pay for cancellation, been charge for two extra months, still they have the guts to charge extra for late fee. Shame on you CLUB 24.

Terrible customer service My 86- year-old Dad moved to SLO and joined. He was told, after paying his enrollment and first months fees that a trainer would call to set up an initial visit. While he was eager to get started, it took 10 days, which he was paying for, before he got a call from the trainer. Because the facility was being remodeled, there were now locker rooms, or lockers available and he had to change in the bathroom, but no discount was offered on his membership. After five weeks, he decided this wasn’t going to work for him, and said he wanted to quit. Despite the fact that he had a month-to-month membership, which did not have a termination fee, he was charged a termination fee of $125.00 what a colossal rip off.

My husband went a lot at first and then found it difficult in his schedule to go to the gym. He hand;t been for months when we decided to cancel the membership- plus we had moved to the other side of town. Not only did we have to pay the yearly maintenance fee, but we didnt time it right with the billing cycles so we are being charged another month. I repeat, he hasnt been in quite some time. To maintain good customer service as a locally owned company it would behoove the managers to allow a hard working family to cancel membership in a more compassionate, user friendly way. Less money tp send on our kids at Christmas. Did they find any heart to help us out? No. Would not recommend. What is the deal with gyms?

Ive read these reviews below and though Im a newer member since April 2010, my experience with this business and its staff has been very positive. The classes, availability of equipment and hours are great and the facilities are very clean including the womans locker room/showers. My interaction with the staff, including the owners has been positive, as well. Yes, equipment does have to be serviced due to brake downs but there is always plenty of similar equipment fully functional including a second stairmaster. The number of members in this gym on any one day proves to me that many others are having the same positive experience I am. I would not hesitate to recommend this gym to others. Jeanine Gentis

I have had the best experience with Club 24. This the the first time a gym has felt like a community to me and actually motivated me to go. The trainers and staff are wonderful and take the time to learn your name and help you if a machine is confusing or you are doing a movement in a way that could get your hurt, even if you dont go for personal training! The remodel is all state of the art equipment and the whole gym looks chic and modern for a very reasonable monthly price. It also pretty amazing that you can take all the classes on just a regular membership! Im recommend this gym to people all the time!

I used to like this gym and have been a member since 2011. Equipment is great, gym has plenty of potential. The work ethic, and way they can treat their customers is completely unacceptable, I would never recommend this gym to anyone anymore. Plus enrollment fees and stupid charges are also ridiculous. The gym itself seemed to make up for all the fees, but have completely changed my mind now. Go find a friendlier gym in SLO! Frank one of the half owners is cool though. But not enough to get more than 1 star. Do yourself a favor and avoid the enrollment fees before you realize this place is a P.O.S

As others have said, the enrollment fee is excessive at $130, plus the "equipment upgrade fee" in November for another $30. I went to the gym for a few months. The air was stuffy and hot - it is a gym, but it seemed excessive. About half the treadmills and bikes were either broken or too clunky to operate. After going in to cancel my membership, I was told I would be charged for the current month ($42), an additional month ($42), plus the equipment upgrade fee for next year ($30). Fees are excessive to both join and cancel, no ventilation, and equipment was sub par.

I recently joined Club 24, mostly for their spin classes. I was skeptical after reading some of the other reviews here, but have been pleasantly surprised. Their employees and class instructors are really friendly and helpful, and their spin classes are awesome (although it did take me a little while to get used to the black lights). I look forward to trying some of the other classes they offer as well. Pros: affordable, good classes at convenient times, friendly staff, open 24 hours. Cons: Could use some more ventilation- it gets hot and really smells like a gym.
