I went in due to an emergency situation with my tire having a huge bubble in the sidewall and looking like it would explode. The manager said that the tires I purchased at this very shop were no longer covered by the road hazard since it expires 4 years after you buy the tire. I agreed to purchase a new tire and since my truck with cabover camper would not fit in the shop, I had to remove the wheel myself using the shops floor jack. The tire was installed and I was on my way. Two days later I happened to notice that something didnt look right, and on closer examination the new tire was not only the wrong size (too small) it was also the wrong load rating. I called and never heard back from the manager. So I went to the Santa Rosa store and they did not even have a floor jack available. I had to drive to my friends house to borrow a jack, return to Sears, take the wheel off, wait three hours to get the new tire installed, and then put the wheel back on myself and return the floor jack. After numerous calls to the San Rafael store, the manager has never once called me back to let me know about a credit from the tire manufacturer due to a defective tire. Non-existent customer service!

This store is always a downer when I go in. I dont know why I continue to go. However, I am always on the look out for Hanes sales. When I called Sears they said the underwear I was looking for was on sale. They gave me the price and the number of items per package. Wow!! I thought this is really a great deal. So I asked the checker to sent aside the only package she said remained. I told her I would be there first thing in the morning to purchase it. That was fine with her. I got there first thing in the morning. Guess what?? No underwear waiting for me. The cashier, a guy, had a headset on and was totally disinterested in my plight. Im telling you. Here I was giving up a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning in Marin in this depressing store. He said that when the store closes all items being held are returned to shelf. Go figure. I got there first thing. No item my size, even the packaging they described was not correct. They quoted a price for a package of 4. Actually the items were on sale in packages of 3. Oh, and the place was a mess. The counter area was disgusting. Guess when you multitask with your head phones on not much gets done. Perhaps lack of interest.

Although the prices on tires were matched from the online competitor, the service was so awful in the shop that I would almost rather pay more elsewhere. I was told my wait would be 1.5 hours to mount 2 tires, so I went for a walk. I got a phone call about 55 minutes later from a the salesman , claiming I needed their alignment servicet. I said no thanks maybe later, and walked back to the shop to see how it was going. The tires were still sitting there and the car was in the stall with no one working on it. So I waited.... and waited,,,,and waited.... watched the news, jeopardy, and finally after a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes, my two tires were mounted and the wheels were back on the car. Lame. If you SAY an hour and a half, MEAN it. Dont be helping other walk in customers ahead of me, PLEASE/

Spare yourself from misery. I bought some tires here on a Sunday and was told to come back "anytime" for the alignment. That it wouldnt be a problem at all. I come back the next day at 4:00 and wait patiently behind a man who had the wrong tires put on his car (a cheaper set mind you) and then am told that theyre overbooked and cant do the alignment. I should add that its very hard for me to write this in that I was raised under and believe in the adage that if you cant say anything nice dont say anything at all, however I have to say something because I dont want anyone else to experience the same inconvenience. Especially if one drives from San Francisco.

Absolutely the worst experience.Had a scheduled appt. To replace wipers and defogger headlights.came back hours later the car was up on a rack and they forgot what the car was there for. Waited in line for over an hour standing.witnessed a car that just had oil change pull out with oil spewing everywhere they did not secure it properly ...like a Saturday night live skit of incompetence

I called the Sears store in North Gate San Rafael to find out if they had San Francisco Giants adults shirts or jerseys. The person in the clothing dept did not speak English and dropped the call. The second time I dialed, I got a call center who didnt know what I was looking for. Very bad service. I will go somewhere else. Thankyou

This is the worst store in the County. I have never called there and had anyone answer the phone. It rings and rings and then goes dead. Why dont you just close and let a decent store come into the mall. I hope you go broke soon. I even called the managers office today and got NO answer.
