I had being going to that salon to get rid of some greys for over six months. The young woman doing my color had found the right formula and all was well. One day I found she was no longer working there. The owner Tom refused to put me in contact, fearing she would give me the formula she was using on my hair. That was mistake 1. Then he offered to do my color himself with the formula that was in his computer. I asked twice if he knows the formula and he says yes, its in the computer. Once the color was over I noticed I had gone from light brown to almost black. Only then he mentioned he had actually decided to go a little darker. The next day my friends started asking if I was now dying my hair. I went back and Tom offered to shampoo my hair, which made no difference. Only then did he say he had actually changed the color products he was using and had not used the formula on his computer. By trying to trick me into another hair color and lying about using the same formula, Im now stuck with dark, almost Asian looking hair. Nothing to do without making it more red until the new hair gradually grows. Thanks Tom for making me look Asian for the year ahead. Everyone else: this guy will lie to your face to get a few bucks. He clearly is unethical and doesnt care about his customer. He also tried to push me his crappy hair products for hair regrowth. No thanks.

Ambiance is a rare gem amongst many salons who excel in aesthetics but dont always match in quality. I have incredibly thick and somewhat difficult white bleached hair. In the past year I have been to 5 different salons to achieve the right color and none of them were able to perform like ambiance. They damaged my hair, the color ran from highlights, and overall my head was coming out a multitude of colors. I first went to Tom based off a recommendation from a friend and could not more pleased that I did. Not only is he great company while your spending hours in a salon, he never fails to take good care of me. He did the best cut (angled just above the shoulders) and is eager to listen to what you want while perfecting it with his years of experience. The whole team is very competent and friendly in Ambiance. If you are looking for a place to get your hair done I could not recommend this place more strongly. They have my loyalty and it is always a positive experience.

After reading the great reviews on City Search, I decided to try Tom at Ambiance. I have been trying to find a good stylist since I moved to L.A. but no luck. So I decided to go to Ambiance. I was so impressed. Everyone there was so nice. Beautiful salon, great location. Tom was very professional. He listen what I wanted and gave me a full color consultation which I never had before from any stylist. Tom totally changed my idea of what I wanted. I guess that was one of my problems with other stylist. They always did what I said. Not knowing to listen to a pro. The hair cut was great. I had no idea my hair could look so good. The color was just as good. He totally gave me a different look. The Aveda color was the best, Love their products.Love my hair and I will be going back now I have found the right place.

I wish I could rate Ambiance Hair Salon 10 stars, but I will settle for 5. The search for the perfect salon took me almost 3 years and after seeing the deal for first time haircut and highlights for $99, I thought they couldnt be worse than the other awful places Ive been to. My attitude instantly changed after walking in to the salon and Tom assured me he would take care of me and make me look fabulous. The best haircut and highlights I have ever had and finally it was tears of joy! I will forever go back to this salon and Tom will forever be my life saver! Everyone that works at this establishment is so accommodating and friendly that I didnt feel rushed or like just another customer. My hair has never looked better and I am so thankful I found this wonderful Ambiance family!

I have been getting my hair done by Tom since one year a go. Tom and his professional team do an incredible job on Blone, hight lights and cutting hair. They accomedate appointments, the same day. People in Ambiance are very friendly and happy and upbeat, which makes the time in the chair even more enjoyable. Tom is a very experienced, artistic person, who loves what he does. I came in here 5 years ago for a special they were running, thinking it would be a one-time thing. Tom has been cutting and coloring my hair ever since. Reasonably priced - especially given the location. None of the attitude of other LA area salons. Nice, Aveda products and color. Great staff. Highly recommended!

This is my go to place to get keep my bob hair cut perfect and on point. Andrew Kleiman is my stylist and I literally get asked who cuts my hair at every modeling job I am on. Andrew is a perfectionist and has been the best stylist I have ever had! If you need an amazing cut or color check him out!

Tom was amazing! Im not an easy client -- my hair is very processed & damaged. Plus Im very picky. Luckily, Tom understood exactly what kind of color and cut I wanted and he delivered. He helped blend my faded ombre into more natural, allover sun-kissed blonde and Im very pleased with the results.

Went in today to fix someone elses mistake corrected (terrible ashy gray). Without bleach and with just a single process Tom turned that into a nice sandy blonde. I have been here once before and also had great results. Aveda salons are always the best.
