Budget Truck Rental: Customer Service at this location is VERY POOR. Agent has an anti-customer attitude and does not spend much time in the office making it difficult to pick-up vehicles or get paperwork / receipt upon return. I returned truck during working hours and was unable to get my receipt. Once my credit card bill came I discovered I was over charged on the mileage due his mistakes. He said he would email me my receipt but didn’t - it took me two trips to the location to get receipt; Agent acknowledged his OVER CHARGE and said he sent in paperwork to Customer Service to refund. After another week of waiting, I called corporate customer service, who told me that nothing was ever submitted by this agent. ( Corp Customer Service did rectify the problem without question - although I need to wait another week to see if I do in-fact get my refund). Trucks at this location are inconveniently stored at an off-site location adding more difficulties to dealing with this agent. I used Budget because of their discount promotion, but it has ended up costing me more in time and money that if I would have went to U-Haul.

We took our vehicle to this store located at 4987 west lane in stockton ca. We inquired about getting our front headlights on our 2008 Chevy Equinox. We were told that there would be a $10 service since we bout the lights at Pep Boys. We were okay with this. About 15 minutes later another Pep Boys mechanic came in and told the current employee ringing us up that because the have to take the front bumper off we would would be charged $55. We explained that you do not need to take the bumper off because this was not a 2006 model. He kept arguing and referring to it as a 2006 and intent on charging us the $55. We told him that we would just do it ourselves. Upon getting home and opening hood we found out that during their attempt to remove the headlamp they had lost one of our screws that held the headlamp casing in place. We the proceeded to change the headlamp which only took 10 minutes and required no removal of the front bumper as they were insinuating. I am very angry and disappointed that they would argue with me and I feel like they were attempting to over charge me for a simple 10 minute job.

TL:DR - Dont believe them when they say youll be first up if you come in at 7:30. Theres still going to be a 3.5 hour wait, for service. Store part has incredible customer service. The store side, is amazing! The reps are more than willing to be helpful. The service side needs A LOT of help. Theyre staff is typically overwhelmed. They need to hire more techs. Also dont believe them when they say "if you come in first thing in the a.m., youll be put on the rack immediately!" This is a disgusting overstatement. My wife was there atthe 7:20 a.m. with one person in front of her, they didnt get serviced until close to 10:30.

They lie, have you wait for an hour and a half only to tell you "Im sorry, youll have to bring in your vehicle another day." Bullshit! They said they had a technician that is free. "Come on down. Just talk to "DJ" when you get here." I get there. I tell them I was told to talk to DJ. They make me fill out paperwork, take my keys, tell me "Well get right on it." I waited a HOUR AND A HALF. They eventually came out and told me "Im sorry youll have to bring your vehicle back another day." Im taking my business else ware. EXTREMELY disappointed with Pep Boys service. Beware of this location. You may be highly disappointed!

I brought in my Moms van without an appointment a day before driving to Las Vegas New Years Eve. The Van hadnt had a proper service in over a year. They did the service in a quick an timely manner. After retuning from the trip, there was an electrical problem that was put of for years and had to be fixed. It was diagnosed correctly and repair...I received a call from the Tech explaining what he found and what he was going to do to fix it. They did not try to sell any extra work that was not needed. The price for both services where fair.

Good variety of parts and accessories at reasonable (though not always cheapest) prices. Staff willing to help, but are usually busy. There are two other auto parts stores nearby, Auto-zone and OReillys, not counting Wal-Mart. I usually use Auto-zone for free tool rental and purchase small parts there, my oil and oil filters from Wal-Mart because their pricing is less, and auto parts often now are purchase online. I have Pep Boys do small shop work, like turning my rotors I bring in, or mounting tires onto rims.

I live in Pacheco but my daughter lives in Stockton, we had a shopping day planned but I also needed an oil change so my daughter recommended Pep Boys on west lane. The guys in the office were great I didnt feel like they were going to take advantage of me. When the mechanic Daniel pulled my car out he wanted to show me that my front tire had metal showing, I was unaware my tire was even going bad, so he replaced it and I was on my way. Thank goodness. I drove 50+ miles back home feeling a lot safer.

My son was transferred to Stockton, CA from Missouri and was having car problems. Always in the past, we have had problems on the road and Pep Boys have always come to our rescue and today was no different, except they have a new return customer! My service was taking longer than expected and I was given a ride home and picked up again when my car was finished. Id call that "the extra mile...and then some!" Great service and great guys! Thank You!

They dont listen your problem last time I went there to get my car altinator cheked they did not listen me and charged me for diagnostics and could not find the problem and then I got my altinator cheked from auto zone and it was bad got the altinator replaced and everything fine after that my advice is if they tell to diagnosis your car or take it to the dealership dont trust them please take somebody else advice before u go to dealership

This place is useless. The first time I went here they forgot my appointment, but I decided to give them one more chance. So a week later I had an appointment at noon, waited for WELL OVER TWO HOURS, and they never even got to the point of being able to look at the vehicle. NEVER going to this Pep Boys ever again, and I suggest you dont either. They are disorganized. Find someplace else that actually wants your business!

Made appointment and then read online reviews which were all bad. (Being a 62 year old woman, I was worried about being a victim.) Turns out the reviewers were also all wrong. From start to finish the Pep Boys crew was professional, helpful, and nice. Special thanks to Mark Ortega and Anul Pina. Got it all taken care of in record time at a fair price. I will go back here for future car needs and recommend to friends.

What happend to this place, I have been a customer for almost 3 years. The serivice is the worst in anyplace . Now Im with speedee to change my oil and anything else my car needs. I advise not to go there , so they can appreciate the customers that are losing . They need a wake up call. Shame on pep boys management for having this kind of emplyees. Worst pep boys in town.
