Use Presto Moving & Storage instead. We previously used Presto for our move from CA to FL without any damages to our items. Fast forward two years later for my Moms move from CA to FL. We opted to go with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage because they were slightly cheaper. This was a costly mistake as all four dining chairs had paint scraped off, one caster leg on a desk chair broke off as did one of the wooden legs on an antique chair. We filed a claim for damages. After several phone calls and emails, reimbursement for damages was only $177.00. This was based on which box was checked and signed for on the contract. It was true that she signed for limited liability however she did not check the box for this option. There is a difference between signed and checked. The rep, David, put an X next to three places where my Mom needed to sign. One was Form of Payment at Delivery. Another was To Be Signed Upon Pickup. The most crucial was Option A: Limited Liability. The box for that option was not checked. Instead of giving my Mom an option of selecting Option A or Option B which was Replacement value, David put an X next to where she was to sign for Option A. There was no discussion about the options. At the time of this transaction, my Mom was a single 80 year old woman preparing to move from California cross country to Florida. The process was overwhelming for her. David preyed upon her vulnerabilities by not taking the time to explain the options to her. It is very sad that an individual would do this. I doubt he would do this to his own mother. In addition, they stole a full bottle of Valium from her medicine cabinet. Go with Presto Moving & Storage!

Me and my family were moving just a month ago. I was the one in charge of looking for the movers and found Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. At first, I wasn’t sure. I had seen a lot of moving companies but I choose this company and I was able that I did because they were excellent. I was able to call them up and ask about the cost it would be to move around 100 miles away. I was very pleasantly surprised with the cost. It was very low and affordable. So I choose this company to help while moving. Los Angeles Transfer was a fantastic company that really helped to make the move enjoyable and everything was arranged within minutes. I was able to get an instant quote and was told that I could get a discount also! I had heard about this company from a friend and was very pleased with what was offered. The service was amazing and the movers were great also. There were two movers that helped on the day and they really did everything. Me and my husband could sit back and let the movers handle everything which was a great thing. Moving was a big deal for me and my family but with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, we were able to get from our old house to our new in less than an hour. For me, it was very important to know that my things were being looked after by an honest company. I may have been sceptical during the move but once everything was in place, I had nothing to worry about. This was a fantastic service for me and I cannot fault them with anything. The movers were helpful and they were very nice and polite also.

When a company stands out for its superb service, I like to reward it with a sincere review. A couple of my friends referred me so I gave them a shot. I researched a future move recently from Los Angeles to New York half expecting to be “nickel & dimed” by an up-selling, high pressure salesperson. I was pleasantly surprised to actually to be able to have reached the owner of the company who was not only patient, and calm in explaining the moving process, but who was also very friendly and didnt make me feel like I was a dollar sign. One of the things that really stood out about Los Angeles Transfer & Storage is their commitment to customer service. They dont give a quote over the phone as not to be misleading. This ensures a guaranteed moving cost on site. They are careful to give a customized price which is fair and dont purposely low-ball you over the phone with a misleading price. They are not only able to guarantee pick and delivery dates but they also assign 3-4 different entities to each individual move to ensure logistic smoothness. They assign a salesperson customer service, driver and a dispatcher. They are also one of the few moving companies that accept all major credit cards for both pick up and delivery. They wrap and pack professionally and have a very good track record since they track and inventory the entire shipment noting any damage before the move. They even offer some cool gifts.

Ill start with the one positive... the movers that came to pick up my stuff were on time and very nice. There were 3 gentlemen who were respectful and friendly. Everything else is a hot mess. Its been two weeks since my stuff has been picked up, and I still cant get anyone to tell me when my things will be delivered... Every time I call or text or email, all I get is someone having to follow-up with someone else and STILL no definitive response from anyone. Its very frustrating not getting timely updates and not getting any answers/responses. I was told in my initial quote (which I have in writing) that delivery would be 6-13 days. The last response I got was that delivery, if Im lucky, will be this Sunday... that would be the 21st day from pickup. I may have to cancel a business trip as a result of this. Moving across the country is stressful enough as it is, but I am unable to make plans because this company cannot adhere to the timeframe they originally set forth. Ive never felt so helpless in my life. On top of that, they had the audacity to try to up charge me for "expedited shipment"... is this their way of punishing me for not having paid the extra $900 that shouldnt have been necessary to begin with had they adhered to their own guidelines? If a manager can reach out to me and solve my problems, that would be great. Otherwise, here is my 1-star (negative stars if I could) review.

I have moved across the country, and across California about 4 times in the past few years. Moving has always has been stressful, until my most recent move with “Los Angeles Transfer & Storage”. From the start, they continually exceeded every expectation I had. I want to recognize our point of contact, David Hirsch. I strongly recommend getting in contact with him about your move. Here are a few things that stood out to me. Excellent and timely communication. Professionally & carefully handled our property. Gave me an incredible deal on both the move and storage. David showed up on site to help the movers, and made sure everything went well. David was very friendly and made me feel comfortable with storing my belongings in their storage. They had incredible respect for me, my wallet, and my property. David was in constant contact with me about our stored property, making sure we had our storage payment set up properly, and our delivery information settled. I have never had a moving experience like this one. They made what used to be a stressful hassle, something I hardly had to think about. It is the people at Los Angeles Transfer that place them far above any competition. Even if the prices were doubled, I would still pay to work with these professional and relational people. Thank you David and LA transfer. Trust me… I will be calling you guys again, for another move.
