I am incredibly disappointed by my experience with Northstar. This is the fourth time Ive used them, and the three other experiences were 5 stars+, but this was as bad as you can get. 1) They blatantly stole $2,000 cash from my roommates drawer. There was an envelope with the cash and foreign currency, and the foreign currency and envelope are still there while the cash is gone. We should have remembered to remove that, but I also thought we could count on a reputable company. We ended up having to go through this move with only myself present most of the time, which meant that I could not be in both locations at once. There were many times that I thought the movers were taking a really long time at the move-in location and so I would go over there to try to get them moving, but now I realize they were going through our drawers. Were only one day in, so who knows what else we will find was stolen as well. The above is bad enough for one star, but I will proceed to describe the other terrible moments of this move. 2) The movers were extremely rude. As they got close to the apartment, they called me explaining they didnt know where to park. They had such a bad attitude, but I told them where they could find parking lots. They called again saying one parking lot didnt work. So I told them again about several other parking lots in the area, and he explained very rudely that they had started the clock on us 30 minutes prior as they were looking for a space. I absolutely should not be paying for them to be slow about finding parking. Not to mention, I didnt need the moving truck and told them this well in advance (we were only moving a couple of floors). 3) I called in advance explaining that we would need some help packing in addition to moving. When they arrived, they were completely unprepared and had a very lazy, bad attitude in approaching it. I realized this wouldnt be a good use of my money, so I told them to forget about packing, but I really counted on that given that I was alone moving 3 bedrooms. They were also surprised by 3 bedrooms. So Im not sure if the company didnt inform them properly or if they simply didnt review the order. Im guessing the latter. 4) The movers were super slow. In my past experience with Northstar, the movers were fast and professional. I often had to go up to the move-in apartment to ask them what was going on. (Now I understand they were busy stealing things). This was a really upsetting move. I counted on Northstar given my past positive experiences with them. I was alone as a young female, and these guys were rude to me and took advantage of me. Not to mention, I didnt get much moved by them anyway and am still moving everything as we speak.

The movers themselves are personable and young and fun...However, they are unskilled. I hired them to move a new treadmill and several boxes from one town to another. Thats it. The new treadmill now has a dented stand which renders an uneven walking surface, and there are more scratches than you would believe. And somehow, the dropped my treadmill into one of my walls, which has damage that will require a professional to repair. Now dealing the NorthStar Client Care Manager, Rebecca, and she is less than helpful... requesting me to get quotes for repairs on my own, after which she will let me know if the damage is covered. The movers made no attempt to wrap the treadmill in protective covering, which one would expect to be done for furniture. Secondly, the destinations were 3.8 miles apart, and the drive took me 12 minutes that morning. Someone, double drive time equated to 1 hour... Definitely hire another company. Pure Movers moved us last time, and did a good and professional job with much more furniture (and another treadmill). I wish Id stuck with them...

NorthStar moving help us out so much on the move! The movers arrived promptly to our place just as expected and was ready to help move our stuff into the truck. They had the proper tools and additional boxes to help pack the remaining items. Our furniture and delicate pieces were wrapped very nice and protected from any damage. Nothing was broken or lost in our move and was very pleased with the work ethic of the movers. There was no downtime or lag on the movers and they wanted to get the job done as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this company to all my family members and friends in the future. I have never used a moving company before but I found the best one on the first try! NorthStar moving makes everything easier on the move and faster. Thanks so much for everything NorthStar! :) - Jonathan G.

I have now used Northstar moving to separate times. I honestly did not think it was possible to have a better experience than I did two years ago with North Star...but the guys that moved me this weekend were beyond incredible. The price of my move ended up being much less than the original estimate and that was purely because these guys hustled! I had a team from the Chatsworth office. Randy Chicas was the team leader along with Edward, Wilbur and Hector. Im not sure if you can request a specific team but if you can I would highly highly recommend these four guys. Not one item was broken or even slightly damaged. And if that wasnt enough, all four guys were incredibly nice and very accommodating. They did not leave my place until everything was exactly how I wanted it. I absolutely will use North Star again.

I highly recommend NorthStar! Ive had a great experience from start to finish. The front office was great, particularly Alice and Alma. I had to reschedule several times because PODS didnt deliver my storage container as promised. Alma was extremely helpful and accommodating. After every call, I received an email summarizing whatever plans we had discussed. Once PODS finally delivered my container, NorthStar made moving day very easy. The team (Jason Arriaza, Sergio Madrid, and Abraham Landa) were precisely on time. They were quick, efficient, and careful not to damage my belongings or the wood floor. Jason walked me through all of the paperwork, ensuring that I understood the charges and who to call if I discovered any damage after the fact (I didnt). This is a great company.

MOVING SUCKS!!!! Particularly with a toddler. I was a nervous wreck leading up to moving day. However, Ilan came in several weeks in advanced and gave us a "not to exceed" quote which was super helpful when shopping around moving companies. I shopped several other companies and chose NorthStar based on reviews and pricing for what you get. Jesse and his team (Koran, Jonathan, and Joseph) at Northstar exceeded our expectations with their efficiency, care of our items, and speed of the move. The were friendly, professional, and awesome to work with. We were beyond pleased with our experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move. The movers were wonderful. Kept me posted as to their arrival, were friendly and repectful, efficient and calm. The leader explained everything so clearly to me so that I feel well-informed as to the process my boxes, beds, bookcases etc will be going through. That also showed me the conscientiousness of the company in safeguarding our things. The man who handled the estimate was also great. He answered my texts promptly. So... I have only good things to say. Im very curious as to the arrival logistics on the other end. I pray it can be as close to the first as possible but do completely understand their system and why they are able to offer such a reasonable price to move my things.
