#1: when we took out computer to them, were told it would take 24 hours to run the diagnostic. - OK fine. We took it there MONDAY and did not hear from anyone until WEDNESDAY. This machine is my primary machine - for my business. #2: When we were contacted on Wednesday, we were told that there were viruses and otherwise it was fine. It would take $109 to remove the viruses. "seems reasonable, go ahead" #3: Thursday -technician called and said, "your computer is all ready to be picked up"! COOL, Ill be right over! Then he asked "what problems were you having with Outlook"? UMM, Excuse me, why do you ask? "well, you can receive on your machine, but you cannot send email" HMMM, well that seems to me like my machine IS NOT ready to be picked up, then, right? "uh, ya, I guess so" WELLLLL ok then, call me when its ready. 5 minutes later I get a call back from Ryan - very nice - and he lets me know the computer is ready. I asked about the issue with not being able to send emails - he says "its fixed". I had to probe further to ask what the problem was - it was abundantly clear he did not want to tell me. SOOOO, Ryan then tells me - "it was a spelling error". A spelling error? Did I miss something from before? Ryan tells me "no, it was on our side". UGH! ok...I immediately left to go get my computer - that I have now been without since MONDAY! #4: I get the machine home, I barely have time to boot up and just make sure it looks normal before I have to run to an appointment. Boots up - it looks like all is well in computer land. #5 (the CRASH): My assistant has arrived to help me recover some of the time lost with projects and so forth. 10 minutes into her starting to review my 2500 received emails to organize things - a distantly familiar "clicking" starts to come from my machine. I havent heard this sound in more than 15 years when I hard drive crash on me. I call Computer Guys...they then ask, "can you bring it back in"? UMMM, NO, you need to get a tech over to my office STAT! They arrive at 1215P - run diag on hard drive - "recommend replace hard drive" UGH! Are you kidding me. I am now "out" the following: * 3 hours of Admin billiing * 5 days, while machine in the shop * $1200 - new computer and new software because previous versions of Office and Quickbooks are not compatible with 8. * 3 additional days recovering and restoring. As I told "josh" when he left my office - I am a very unhappy customer. Unfortunately, "josh" just stared at me unable to offer any assistance.

My experience with this business is certainly different from most others. Twice my laptop has gone in with the same problem (screen flickering) and I am now $220 down and no closer to having it fixed. One time they even replaced the screen, but now I have reason to think that they might have cheated me out of that (or were just covering their asses, as the real problem turns out to be the cable from the motherboard to the LCD). The second time I took it in and it was in their shop for over a week because they had to get a new screen in, but I was not given any sort priority. While I can say Ann, the lady who works the front desk, is very nice, they still are pretty bad when it comes to keeping in contact with customers. Overall, I cannot recommend Computer Guys of OC to anyone. I would even go so far as to say this is some of the worst service I have received for anything.

Review of Computer Guys of Orange Co. April 08, 2015 Glen is the proprietor of “Computer Guys of Orange County" and has been attending to my computers for more than 15 years. His business has grown from being a one man, full time worker to having a store and employees that work alongside him. Each time they come to my studio to service the computers, they are on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and get right down to work--very Professional. They always fix the issues, and inform me as to what the problems were, why that happened and how not to make the same mistake again (if applicable). I have enjoyed having his staff taking care of my computers and can trust them to do a good job. Rhea Sax

I took my laptop to the Computer Guys last week because it had what turned out to be a bad virus. Running very slow and pop-ups all over the place. I have been using the geek guys for a long time for my needs and they have been ok. I wanted to try them out. I did not have to wait in a line. I like the way I was greeted and they were very friendly and personable. After the free diagnostic I left the computer for repair. The next day I started getting emails notifying me of the progress being made. I had the computer back in record time, and working like new. They have won me over and I will highly recommend them in the future. Thanks again guys.

I called CGOC first when my computer had a virus and then called a few other places to see what else was out there. From the first contact with them it was an obvious choice, they were the nicest on the phone and the most helpful. Not only did they fix the problem I had, buut because they were so nice I had them instal a new faster HD and made my computer TOP NOTCH! Not only did they do all of this, they completed it all in less time than I was quoted to have just the virus removed. I would recomend this place to any of my family and friends, excellent service and an unbeatable price! Thank you, my computer is now better than when I bought it!!!

After my Mac objected to an Apple upgrade I contacted Apple for help. I spent weeks on the phone with Apple techs to no avail. They basically told me that it was time to replace my 4 year old computer. I finally contacted the Computer Guys of Orange County who came by, hauled it away and brought it back to me as good as new! BTW at the fraction of the cost of replacing it with a new one. Professional, respectful, friendly and efficient young men. I know I will be calling them with all my computer needs/troubles in the future. Excellent service - Many thanks!!

These guys are the greatest! I live in Tustin and always if possible try to cater or patronize local businesses. They tried to fix keys on my keyboard (that I messed up) at no charge. It was an arduous task. Rather than replace the keys at $20, I replaced the key board for $25.00 which they installed at no charge. They didnt point out my obvious ignorance of the p.c. world and were very courteous, professional with quick turnaround in response time and notification. I highly recommend this business for any of your computer concerns or needs.
