This is a true story of lies, theft, conspiracy and cover up. I took my Ford 2010 F250 pickup to Alpine Collision Center in Upland for a very minor dent in the body. The week before dropping it off I discussed the repair with them and told them I needed the truck for work. Jose, the estimator, told me it would be ready the following Friday without a doubt if I got it in anytime on Monday. When I dropped it off to the company Monday afternoon I was told by Jose that it would be done by Friday. Since I hadn’t heard a word, I called to check on it right before closing on Friday and after many minutes on hold I was able to talk to Jose who told me the truck was in for paint and that it wouldn’t be ready until Monday. As I said, this is my work truck and although I was able to make due with a rental truck for a short period, the majority of my tools were in the drawer set under the tonneau cover which made it very difficult to perform my work. Monday about noon I called to check on what time to pick up the truck. After many minutes on hold (sounds like a reoccurring thing, doesn’t it?) I was told Jose was out to lunch. I left a voice message asking him to call me back, never happened. Tuesday morning I received a call from the insurance adjuster telling me my truck would be ready in the afternoon but that he was going to extend the truck rental to the following day just in case. I returned home that afternoon and while waiting for the phone call telling me to come and pick up my truck I cleared out my things from the rental truck. It never came. The following morning I received a message from the Upland PD asking me to contact them. Wondering why the police would be calling me I returned the call to Officer O’Brian and was told that the previous night my truck had been entered. Thousands of dollars of tools had been stole out of it. The truck had been stored in one of Upland Collision Center’s lots next to an unsecured driveway even though they have thousands of square feet of building space. It had been parked in the middle of the lot away from a camera where the thieves were able to hide from it and far enough away from a motion detector which didn’t work. The perps went directly to the truck like ducks to water and lo and behold, neither the tonneau cover nor the cab had been locked. Additionally, the theft alarm had not been set. They raped it. Tools, test equipment, printer and personal items. It cost me over $1100 to have my Nissan rekeyed because they had taken the keyless entry Fob I kept in the truck. And when I asked them how they were going to reimburse me for this, what do you think was said? Sorry, we aren’t responsible for personal items left in the vehicle. Oh, and to make matters worse, the thieves left a dent in the tailgate that was worse than the dent I had taken in to be repaired, and no they wouldn’t fix that either. So buyers beware and don’t let your insurance company force you in taking your car to Upland Collision Center in Upland if you have any concern for your time, possessions and sanity. And if you do, good luck with that.

This place can do good work, but in my case, they are very uncertain as to when they complete the job. Initially I was told three weeks, depending all parts arrived timely. Parts did arrive timely and I was called to let me know that work had not been finished and that it would take another week. As time neared, I was called a second time to tell me that work had not been finished and was postponed three more days. In short, the shop manager called me at least 7 times to let me know that work was being postponed to ensure things were checked and done right, etc... The job took 6 weeks and I had to pay $1,370 for car rental, and $500 additional deductible since the rental car was hit at a parking lot and my insurance had to pay for damages. I was very dissatisfied with their customer service and lack of commitment. I definitely dont recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick turnaround and commitment to their word.

I was referred by my insurance company to Caliber Collision to have repairs done to my vehicle. Caliber Collision handled my claim very well and it was a painless process. My repairs are done expertly and timely. I especially want to thank Angie who did a fantastic job with communicating with me, coordinating payments, estimates, and the repair work. I would highly recommend them.
