I havent had the same experience as the reviewer from August 5th. It was really nice and clean when I toured and has been since. I love dropping my kiddos off in their childcare area. They take babies as young as 3 months old, which is the youngest of any gym in the area. (others started at 6 months, I think). My 2.5 year old LOVES it. They have a fun indoor playground setup that is similar to something at McDonalds. They also have a TV thats on the Disney Channel with all of his favorites like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and Chuggington. They have two little bathrooms back there (one for boys, one for girls) and theyre equipped with little toilets--like the ones at Disneyland in the Baby Care Centers. The evenings are really hectic in there, so we go in the mornings when its a less crowded. They have 2 pack n plays set up for the little ones and some exersaucers. However, I never saw them put my 4 month old down. The girl at the counter says they try to keep the little ones occupied and let them watch the big kids run around. They even fed him the bottle I left--so I know that they do their best to keep the kiddos going--even if its only for 2 hours or so. The ladies that work back there are really sweet. As far as the adult stuff, the locker room is really clean and they have lots of lockers to use--bring a lock though. Ive not had anything stolen, but its a good idea to have one just in case. They have several showers, toilets, a sauna, pool, and hot tub. The cardio area is nice and Ive never seen it too full that you cant get on--but again, I go in the mornings. I dont know what its like at peak time. They even have a separate area with just a couple treadmills and elipticals if you dont want to be by all the rest of the members. The weight machines are all in good condition and there are a couple trainers walking around if you have questions about any of them. I wish they offered more classes during the morning...thats my only thing. Id like to see a 10am class or something. Most classes are before 10 and after 4. All in all, Ive enjoyed my experience. I dont know if other people arent wiping their sweat off, but I know I clean my areas after I use them and even wipe down all the handles on my eliptical when Im done...If you see someone not wiping their sweat off, then call them out on it... If youre not comfortable doing that, then just wipe down the benches/equipment before you use it just to be safe. Anyway, I recommend LA Fitness. Its nicer than some of the other area clubs.

This is a gym ran by kids, for kids. Just like your kids room, its a filthy sty. Nobody racks their weights after use; NOBODY! And nobody wipes their sweat of the benches. The weight room floor is an obstacle course of various free weights left there by the lazy slobs that used them last. The teenage management of the club couldnt care less; Their too busy texting their Hommies 24/7 to do their jobs. Ive worked out at many gyms over 25 years, but Ive never seen such a dirty, poorly ran gym as this one. Even by LA Fitness standards this gym is gross. The plates (10s, 25s, 45s) are so grimy, they stick together when you try to pick them off the rack. Once youve had enough of this pig pen, youll want to quit and go to a better place. Not so fast, now you have to battle to cancel your membership. They continued to auto bill me for 4 months dues even after I meticulously cancelled my memberships per their written instructions. Only after I went to the Better Business Bureau did I get any results and a full refund. It seems they somehow managed to get an AAA rating from BBB, and they will protect it at all costs. Don’t let LA Fitness lie to you; they do have an Area Manager that handles these things. After I filed an official complaint with BBB, he called me to work things out. FYI, LA Fitness lost a class action lawsuit for unlawful billing practices in California a couple of years ago. There is currently a class action lawsuit in Florida and Illinois for the same billing practices. I talked to the attorney that filed the class action; It seems they pulled this billing crap on him too. He tipped me off on BBB. You only need to Google “LA Fitness Complaints” to see what it’s all about. You’ve been warned

Before I talk about my experience, It is based on peak hours (between 5pm-7pm) So to start off the staff up front do not seem friendly (not even a "hello" "how you doing" when entering). Ok I can deal with that, however, next I noticed how messy and unorganized the free weights area is which was really an interuption to my workout since weights are all over the place so you need to search and walk around trying to find a set of dumbells. -No one seems to re-rack their weights so you have no idea if someone is using them or not to. -Not to mention, how crowdy this area is which can have you waiting countless minutes to get a machine or bench. -And to make things worse some people can be unneccesarly rude, and when I say people I mean those who have attitudes towards others and act like they own the gym. (almost seems like steriod abuse to be sincere) On the other hand, some positive things I can say is that I enjoyed the pool (seemed clean) and the roomy lockers and such. Good size gym, but can get really crowed during peak hours. This sums up my short term experience of 3 days. (had the free guest pass) Overall i recomend going in the morning when its less busy. Less chance of you encountering these problems. Stay Healthy/Fit.

Sometimes this gym is okay, but there are so many douchey people in the gym. Constantly dressed to look good, and they sit there texting flirting and socializing the entire time while all the machines are taken up. Then they look at you like your in the club trying to act hard. Annoying af, i dont enjoy paying top dollar to go to a popularity contest and wait for any real weights. Staff/management needs to change some things. You should not be able to occupy an area for more than 15 minutes if all the other machines are taken up.. la fitness? More like la popularity contest bs

I went to la firness for 5 months befor I started working. My new job put me out of town so I called and cancelled my membership. Six months later they are still taking out 10 dollars for child care. When I confronted them they said I w Had to cancle membership and childcare. I replied with why would I keep child care if I cancelled my membership. All they said is that was their policy. Still trying to get back my 60 dollars

Everytime I came to this particular gym the weights were in disarray, the staff seemed more concerned with their physique rather than yours, and there was always an abundance of "bros" who showed no respect to others as the signs of steroid abuse was quite clear. I frequent La Verns location now where the staff will approach you rather then you approaching them. Its clean and the staff is hard working.
