Ive been a member for over 20 years and i have a premium member ship ! ive recently started visiting other 24 hour centers ,and realized that we in Vallejo have no new up to date equipment ! as a matter of fact the same equipment that the gym opened with 20 years ago is still in gym ! to the point you can see rust spots on some of the equipment then i also realize that much of the newer machines in the gym is hand me down from other gyms! this is a disgrace ! the ventilation in gym is a joke ! to the point the mirrors steam up to where they have to open front doors to let air in the place ! We have many new options in Vallejo now from shape up gym with new Equipment for as low as $10 month to fitness center again new equipment $12 month ! We at Vallejo gym are starting a petition to get a better gym experience than what we have now ! to walk in our gym compared to other gyms is like walking into the stone age ! your input would be greatly welcome ! if nothing is done i know 20 to 30 members that will be ending there member ship and moving to planet fitness !

The Vallejo gym is certainly smaller and older than the huge new facilities south of the bridge, but the basics are all there, variety of cardio machines, Nautilus and other fitness machines, several weight stations, pool/sauna/steam room, X class room. Over the past year theyve cleaned the place up a lot. The shower/restroom still needs an update and the machines tend to be older models but the locker room has been upgraded. I should also note that without exception the staff is friendly. Ill still occasionally go down to Pleasant Hill or Walnut Creek to enjoy a state-of-the-art facility but for routine workouts the Vallejo facility gets the job done. Note: the place is really busy after work but you usually dont have to wait long to grab your machine of choice. They could improve the wait situation if they replaced some of the older machines with newer models. As it stands now, on a usual day about 10% of the cardio machines are down. If they got some newer machines I would certainly give the facility 4 stars.

A handful of VERY nice staff members..unfortunately the rest are rude. Dirty. Anyone whos been here knows. Overcrowded. A thick, offensive cloud of body odor looms throughout the entire establishment. My main complaint is the difference in prices they charge their customers. I went in wanting the bare minimum, as I only worked out twice a week and only for an hour (busy work schedule) and they charged me $45/m?!?! Needless to say when Planet came to town, I was 1st in line. Planet is clean, it offers far more perks than 24 could ever hope to, and i havent caught any attitude from any of their employees. Super helpful, NICE, and that damn water jet machine......humminuh humminuh.. I would say that I miss 24s pool, but it always smelled odd and never seemed to eliminate the nasty perverted dudes that would sit in the fkkn hot tub all day ogling all the girls. Yeah. 24 sucks.

I visited this 24Hr Fitness location several times over several years. The Mens showers were in bad shape, much more ventilation needed. Some shower stalls were not functioning sometimes. The entire Mens locker room in general was often dirty, urinals very smelly. Poor custodial service! I asked them several times to make the fans oscillate in the cardio area where you stay in the same spot on a machine, but they never did it (this would not have been that costly a project!). During peak hours it was way too crowded. I liked to use the old-fashioned Stairmasters, and sometimes these were not working. Floor mats for stretching, etc. were not provided in the last several years, unless you were lucky enough to find one, and then it was usually filthy. All in all, the general experience was not pleasant, and made it even harder for me to motivate to come in and work out.

This gymn is the worse i have ever been in the entire bay area. Their jacuzi smells body odor...brownish color, lots of bubbles..meaning it is filthy dirty, their steam room & sauna smells and molds everywhere in their blackish tile grout. They allow people probably homeless to use the pool sometimes in their dirty pants and shoes on. its so disgusting, their manager named Shaun must be ashame of himself/herself for being an irresponsible manager in this vallejo branch.. peolpe must not be allowed to use the pool with their clothes on and shoes. Its the managers responsibility to ensure that these things are monitired and address so paying members can see the worth of their membership fee. what a shame, is it because we are in Vallejo, we dont have class and be treated like garbage?

I agree with all of the other reviews that I have read. The place is absolutely filthy. The staff does little to ensure that weights are returned to the proper areas, machines are clean, and dont even go in the locker rooms. My husband and I chose this location out of necessity after moving here but after 7 months of a membership we gladly parted ways. The leering is also terrible. There were many regulars who would just sit at machines, not exercising, and just stared at women. I even asked the staff to talk to them because I needed to use the machine and they made no attempt to help. The cardio equipment is often broken and filthy. This location needs a new owner who actually cares about the facility and not just making money.

Sooooooo Gross! Everything looks like it is from the Video Game FallOut, there is still damage from the Earthquake from over 2 years ago...one of the staff said it is a franchise so I guess that explains the lack of concern for this gym. See my Pictures...an the ladies locker room and Shower GROSS worse than a high school locker room. To make it worst they raised prices, and added a TV right above the filth so now you look at the scummy filth so you cant enjoy the TV. Check out my pictures. the best thing here is friendly Staff, I really wish they would fix the club. The walls are piss yellow, SOMEONE please Fix-N- Flip it .This place need a MAJOR Face-lift!

I try to go everyday so I appreciate the availability of the times offered. The major complaint I have is the club is not clean. Today my friend and I counted the flies on the glass during our aerobic workout, and then the flies on the glass of the class windows. The club smells dirty and the showers are unkempt. I go at different times, and find no difference in the cleanliness of the club. I cant shower for fear of disease. Lastly, the repairs to broken equipment seems to take weeks. Now on a positive note, the staff is very friendly, and I often see one young man gloved and wiping equipment and picking up discarded paper towels. I applaud his efforts.

I travel often and have gone to 24 hour gyms from California to Florida, and without a doubt the one in Vallejo is the worst one ever. I have another gym membership at a local gym in American Canyon, so that when Im in town I dont have to go to the one in Vallejo. The Club is consistenly filthy, the equiptment is old, and the gym is normally over-crowded. With all the large commercial buildings that have been sitting vacant in Vallejo im really surprised that the 24 hour fitness corporation will tolerate one of their facilities being so bad.
