AVOID!!!!! They absolutely screwed up my car! Incident 1: I needed new front rotors. Nelson cares to explain to me as if Im incompetent that "buying the rotors is like buying a pair of heels, you have to purchase two." Is that how you inform your male customers? Anyways, all I cared about was getting it fixed. He quoted me over $450! I bought new rotors online and replaced them for only $150 at home. I shouldve never came back to this joke of a place but I figured maybe Ill give them another try since there had to be a reason for all of the 5 stars and good reviews. WRONG. Incident 2: All I needed was to get the drivers side window fixed and an overall inspection since the engine light came on. I bought the part for replacement since my car is a European import smart car 05. I had to leave it for a couple of days while I was on a business trip in San Fran which worked with the time quote they gave me. All they had to do was take out the broken part in my door, put in the new, then tell me what is causing the engine light to come on. I came back seriously disappointed - now I am extremely annoyed!!! Problems going in: 1. broken window 2. engine light. Problems leaving: 1. Rear window shocks are broken 2. A screw is rattling in the driver door 3. The left brake light no longer works 4. Engine light is still on. They said they would need to tear apart the entire engine to find and fix the problem but they assume that it could possibly be related to smog - I passed the smog check literally 2 months prior to this visit. I mentioned this in which they replied, "Well you mustve been lucky. Now you get 2 years before having to worry about failing it." 5. My car has an oil leak 6. My rear tire is now making noise The ironic part is the sign in their office that attempts to justify over charging their clients. In essence, you get what you pay for so paying higher prices means getting better quality service? Not at Boulevard Auto Repair. Pay high prices so they can mess with your car and charge you more for additional repairs. Stereotypical shady mechanic.

Amazing Value, Honest People I was nervous about taking my car in. I needed to prep it for sale and it had bumper stickers I couldnt get off, one dusty headlight every repair shop said would cost extra to remove & dust, and some dings and scratches. It also had an aging leather interior I feared would fade worse with washing. I compared prices on 8 detailing shops on Yelp, all of which ranged between $150-$300 for the basic package of wash/wax. The cheaper shops charged extra for every single detail. Nelson at Boulevard did not. He charged a flat rate of $250 and sent me a full list of what that entailed. The list, when I sent it to other shops, amounted to over $500 in charges from them. But not from Boulevard. They INCLUDE dusting the headlights (even when they have to remove them to dust the interior), dealing with leather, and even touching up exterior paint. Nelson at Boulevard Auto Repair went over my car with me when I dropped it off, pointing out which damage points were tricky and why. I learned a lot from the experience. I returned for my car at 5pm and it looks and smells like new. Theyd done even more than I thought they would. And when I went in to sign the receipt it stayed at the original estimate of $250. They didnt tack anything on, which I really appreciate! Before/After Photos Below!

This place overcharged me and did not perform what was needed to fix the car. I paid a lot of money for service and changed the throttle body 3 times thinking it was defective, but apparently they did not install it correctly. I paid so much fees, including overnight shipping, and after i brought brand new parts for them from Mercedes dealership that was sealed they refused to warranty the work. Because they want you to order with them and pay more with their mark up, it would be fine if the parts were readily available but for a rare car its not. That is why i ordered the parts and many parts i ordered through Nelson as well and was charged 20% extra. Duh As well as Nelson will be nice to you when you come in initially but then hes got you by the balls after the car is apart. Everything you tell him after you do your own research he tells you something new. I would avoid this place. Im considering filing a small claims court documents.

I started w/Nelsons dad @ Auto Steiger. I was so satisfied w/the care I received from Varguez I followed him when he opened his own shop & again when he moved to the corner of Burbank Blvd. & Kester & re-named the shop BLVD. AUTO. I stayed w/Blvd. after Nelsons dad retired & Nelson took over, completely computerizing the shop. So all in all, Ive been part of their family (even watched his kids grow up) for 40+ yrs. I think their work is exemplary; have been extremely satisfied w/the work theyve done on every MBZ Ive owned. I wouldnt think of taking my car to anyone else & travel all the way from Santa Monica to Van Nuys in order to have Nelson &/or Pedro (also part of his family) take care of my car. My dad and I have been going to BAR for at least the last 5 years. They are always extremely nice and very honest with what the car needs and what can wait. I recently took my C250 in for servicing explaining that I was on a budget but needed it really needed a service and they serviced it and replaced what only needed replacing now and told me what else would need replacing later on so I could prepare a budget for it. They also very kindly washed and vacuumed by extremely dirty car. Nelson really runs a great shop and am very happy to say I am a customer! :)

Honorable, Skilled Trustworthy Mercedes Repair My "car smart" friend told me there was no better place to bring my Mercedes for care and/or repair than Boulevard Auto Repair. He spoke of their skill and integrity. I would add that they create loyal return customers because they respect both cars and us. They explain what needs to be done, and demonstrate how and why. They never push and always, always stand by their work. MAKES ME FEEL SAFE. My friend was right, Boulevard, the only place to bring your Mercedes. No fru-fru, the real deal.

I would recommend Nelson at Boulevard auto for any Mercedes work you need done. Nelson is very honest in assessments and very fair in pricing. Ive never felt any pressure to fix anything that didnt need attention and always knew I was in good hands. All of the mechanics there are clean, friendly and all know what theyre doing. Best Mercedes mechanic in the Valley.

it was great. everyone was was knowledgeable and professional. I walked up to the front desk and while I was still filling out the brief paperwork, their mechanic was already liking at the car. I had a small problem. They had it fixed in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this place to anyone with a smart car.

I have a 1999 mercedes E320 that they keep purring like a kitty. Impeccable service, and a job that is always done right! Nelson and his crew know what they are doing. I had a valet once tell me that he cant believe how my car drives and sounds for a 99. They have me trusting me to drive my car to NYC and back.
