this is the only repair shop I will consider going to in Southern California. Caesar and his team of hard working mechanics are quick and efficient. Ive had lots of problems with my car because its getting up there in age, but they always manage to make me smile when I bring it in. They tell me what I need and if its absolutely necessary, they have no problem explaining it to me and tell me when they think a repair is pointless instead of taking the money. They are honest workers and wont take advantage of me, they will give you the best deal possible (go ahead and try and shop around). Not to mention that they check your car for issues for free! Tires, Brakes, Fluid levels for no charge to me except the cost of fluid if they need to add it. If you need a mechanic in Southern California, dont bother with anywhere else. More Joy is the only way to go.

I love these guys! Its always so hard to find a good car repair shop. So glad I found this place and sad that were moving and Ill eventually have to find someone new:( They are so nice, efficient and honest. They did great work at a reasonable price and always explain everything completely and in a way that I can understand. Ive dropped in a couple of times to have them just check something out and they are always happy to assist and sometimes they dont even charge if its something minor (like needing more air in our tires...oops) I highly recommend More Joy!

In town visiting from Colorado. Had a rear tail light out and blinker issue. Took my Prius to Santa Monica Hybrids, they wanted to charge me $280 for a whole new rear Light Unit. Sensed something wasnt right. Took it to Joy Automotive after talking to Caesar on the phone. Man, i have to say, so honest. Fixed it right on the spot with a couple new bulbs and i was on the road in less than 5 minutes. Friendly, Honest, Professional, Quick and just plain Nice! These guys are the real deal. More Joy Automotive is the name now and they have worked on two of my cars over the years. Recently I had an SUV that just went over 170,000 miles and we replaced the brakes, changed the fluids and had to replace the ac condenser/heater core. These are BIG jobs and they stand behind their work. My go back for adjustments was at no charge because they want it to be right. The service writers are great guys. Ill be going back with my new to me 4Runner to make it last longer.

Brought both my cars to them and have had to bring both back, the first one 3 times to get the problem fixed and will now have to bring the second back again. He said he didnt have much time to test drive it which was why he missed the problem, however my odometer showed that he hadnt even taken it around the block. Ill find somewhere else to take my cars from now on. And they broke the automatic feature on my driver side window to boot.

Although Ive never had a full job here, I can say I popped in one time and they fixed my problem within 5 minutes and free of charge. This in addition to the time (just prior to moving into the neighborhood) when I had to keep using a parking meter and one guy saw me re-loading and said, "You shouldve told me, Id have kept an eye on it and done that for you." These guys are old school, great people :-)

Trustworthy! Good price! Very nice people. Highly intelligent! Great customer service. Washed my car after fixing. Caesar is an awesome people person and his crew are all super nice. Mechanics love working on cars. Great location. All good. You can get a cheaper price in the hood but you have to go to the ghetto. Go on bra. Im not going back son.

Nice shop that gave me good advice and did my repairs for a good price. Conveniently located next to a bus stop towards Santa Monica. They are in a pretty old gas station, too bad about the fences around the property. They use to be called "More Joy" but recently renamed to "Joy Automative". I liked the old name better.

I went to this place this noon, because I got a check engery light. I went to other place, the cheapest price was $35. Then I went here, and the guy named Mark, help me check the car for free. And Im going to change oil tomorrow, the guy told me , $40 include oil change, check everything , and wash car, what a deal!

These guys rip you off like anybody else. They tried to charge a "materials" fee on top of an already high charge for a little 15 minute repair. Those tacked on charges are not really honest - its greed.
