Let me say that this used to be the only place I would take my car, but in the last year its gone downhill quickly. First, I took it in there December 2011 because my headlights wouldnt turn off. They said it was the headlight switch, replaced it, and the lights still wouldnt turn off. Next, they said there was a short. They fixed that and it solved the problem... for 2 weeks. I brought it back there, they had it for 2 days and said they couldnt find what was wrong with it. I came home, googled the problem and found out exactly what it was in 15 minutes. I fixed it myself in my driveway. I went there for an oil change a little after that and it seemed fine. When my brakes were squeaking, I decided to chance it and took my car back there to get the brake pads replaced. They told me I didnt need to replace the pads, but my shocks were gone and needed to be replaced. I replaced them and 2 weeks later, I get a Brake Fluid warning light on my dash. I take it to another mechanic. That mechanic tells me I have air in my brake lines and they need to be bled. I told him the shocks were replaced, he said it must have happened when I had them replaced. Today, I decide Im not taking it back to Marina Tire and Im going to change my own oil. The filter is screwed on so tight, I have to put a pipe on the end of the wrench to get it out. Once I get it out, what do I find? It was screwed so tightly, the filter was twisted in a spiral (I think the term is impacted, but Im not sure). I dont know WHAT happened to Marina Tire, but its obvious they dont care about their service or even fixing things anymore. Sad to see such a great place go so far downhill so quickly.

DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! ---- They seem all nice and do oil changes for a good price but they charge an arm and a leg for anything else. ALSO ever since my girlfriend and I took our cars there for anything other than oil change, we are right back in the shop a week later for some other "issue" paying yet even more money. For example, I had a bad battery and knew I needed to get it replaced. Everything on the car worked great (radio, battery, windows) but knew it needed replacing. They replaced the battery and sure enough I was back in one week later with a compeltey dead battery. They said it was an electrical "draw" that wiped the battery dead. This "draw" occurred after they installed the battery and to fix that problem cost $100. Then once they fixed the draw my radio stopped working and they tried to tell me it was an electric short most likely from my old battery. My radio was working fine with the old battery and there wasnt a "draw". Just like I said in the beginning, they are nice like a good book cover but then when you actually have to have some work done they are unprofessional, sloppy, and expensive. Dont go here!

Overall, the oil change service was ok. The problem is that their $16.95 oil change special ends up MUCH more. $9 for an additional $.25 part. And worst of all, $13 in disposal fees. SERIOUSLY?? $3.50 oil filter disposal, $3.50 oil disposal, plus $6 haz mat fee. $13 just in other bulls*** money making add-on fees above the advertised price. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Its not disclosed on the phone and not until you get your invoice and are paying. Reporting them to the State. BEWARE. $13 in garbage fees on $17 service, not to mention the rip off on the $9 in parts. Imagine what a $400 service will cost. Yikes.

I needed a tire patched and they quickly and efficiently took care of it for 20 bucks. Less awesome, however, was that it started leaking again a week or two later and when I went to the local tire shop they said the repair was a "non approved" repair where they had basically put a piece of rope covered in tar in the hole instead of used a real patch plug. They wont touch the tire so now I have to get a new one. I wish Marina Tire would have done the job properly the first time. Im not going back there.

This place sucks, I needed to have a tire mounted that I already repaired myself and they told me Id have to wait at least an hour before they could help me. I agreed to wait then seen another car pull up that needed to purchase a tire and they helped him right away. I guess I wasnt as important because I wasnt buying anything from them.. poor customer service.. no sense of community for this small business. Drove 1 block up to Midas and was helped right away. Outta there in 10 min. Thanks Midas!!!

A mechanic you can trust. Thats worth a review. Took my car in here for an oil change and to get some of the dash lights dealt with. Rick had the car for a full day and a half, fixed the problem, but the light came back later in the week. He had me bring it back in, took 2 full days to rewire all of it and didnt charge me anything additional. Ive since moved to a place 30 miles away, but will always come back here for all my auto needs.

TIRE PATCH - - Really fast and affordable tire patch at $20. I asked the boss what material they use because it looked like some type of fiber. He said it was silicon rubber i believe. I just read another review which said the patch material was highly suspect and only lasted one week and seemed to be rope. That concerns me, but for now I will remain optimistic.

This place is wonderful. The guys are so sweet and they do awesome work. The transmission in my Ford Explorer went out and I towed it here cause it had good reviews. So glad I did. They gave me an honest assessment and let me keep it there for several days. Theyre really trustworthy mechanics, which can be hard to find sometimes. I highly recommend them!

Good service, good prices. I was in town for a week and had a problem with my AC. Dropped off my car and was a little nervous about whether theyd try to fleece me. All turned out well. They found an electrical problem and ended up getting it fixed reasonably quickly and for not a bunch of money.

I brought in my civic without calling ahead for an oil change and a tire rotation it was 26 bucks and they had me out of there in under 45 min. Great people speedy service and good prices overall Id highly recommend them if youre in the area or passing through.

Been going to Marina Tire for years. They do good work, and they dont try to scam you with work/parts you dont need. Even after moving out of the neighborhood and trying to find an equally good place closer to home or work, I still come here for service.

Dont ever go there!!!! I had the worst experience. I just wanted to fix my flat tire and an older gentleman there was so rude and disrespectful to me. I think he was having a bad day and took it out on me. Im never going there again!
