Stopped here with engine problems in our Holiday Rambler Imperial Motor home with Cummins ISC 8.3. Had oil blowing out of my crankcase breather tube and all over the back of the moho as well as the front of the toad. Cummins in Wyoming told us we likely had scored cylinders and would need $16,000 overhaul Cummins in SAC spent an entire day (8 hours) testing the engine, isolating components, putting it on their full sized dynamometer. Couldnt find anything wrong. Everything was in spec. Engine is apparently not losing anymore oil than normal What a relief. Since they couldnt find anything wrong, they only charged me for about three hours of labor. What a relief again!!! They lengthened the breather hose almost to the pavement to keep the oil off of our toad and showed me how some folks tie a gallon jug around the end of the hose to keep oil from escaping into the air. Great people. You can plug into 50 amps behind their shop in a nice spot right next to the California State Library (and use either Cummins or the librarys wifi free). They told me we could stay there as long as we liked. I decided to have them fully service our Cummins Onan generator the next day and Im glad I did. They changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter for less than I spent in Florida for just oil and oil filter. We love these folks and will stay one more night, for free.

A funny thing happened on the way to the service center. The appt to repair the generator in our RV was at Cummins ...as they service Onan Generators. Ten miles before arriving ....the dash info center starts complaining low bat voltage. ...then the engine begins to overheat...the dash A/C stops working ....and finally the engine derated. (reduced power). Limped into Cummins and explained I believed a belt went on the engine and they looked and confirmed it broke...they even pulled it out and gave it to me as they stated they cant fix it. Cant even determine a part number for the belt. They are Cummins. ...my engine is a Cat! ....However...They got the serial number off the engine and called around to get the proper part number for the belt. They got the belt and they said they would put it on. But not till tomorrow....so we needed to spend the night. They actually have RV hookups out back in the parking lot. At days end they moved the rig there for us to spend the night. Cool! Next day they replaced the generator and installed the new belt and we are good to go. I can not say enough about Debra who took care of us every minute of the way and Cameron who fixed our generator as well as the fellow (name unknown) who really struggled to replace the belt on the engine. We could not be happier. Great people here.
