This review is for one specific trainer that is helping me achieve my goals at an impressive pace and deserves recognition for her dedication to her job and clients. I know there are so many people out there who want to live a healthier, stronger, happier, FIT life and this is someone who can get you on track for good! Nicole is positive and professional from the moment I arrive in the club. She is always ready to get started with a genuine smile and clearly cares about me as person, not just a customer. She took the time to listen attentively during our first session. I explained my fitness goals (hopes and dreams of a “new me”) as well as my worries over any physical limitations I thought I might run into. She takes the time to demonstrate the exercises herself so I can see proper form and answers any questions I might have before I do them myself. She gives me gentle correction if needed and positive reinforcement while I follow through with the movements. I am always astounded at how quickly the hour passes and how happily exhausted and proud I am when we finish. I can tell she honestly believes in me and wants to see me succeed and surpass my personal objectives (which are, of course, to be a lean, mean, human machine:). She is guiding me quickly toward what I was afraid I couldn’t achieve. After only two months, (2 sessions a week) I can see and feel an enormous difference in my posture, balance, energy and muscle strength. I am amazed and inspired at her passion and zest for fitness and well being. This is someone who takes tremendous pleasure and pride in helping people discover their inner strength and then channeling that strength into the power to re-shape their own body. I, for one, am a client for life.

I cancelled my gym membership on Feburary 14th 2009. I went in and did it correctly. I was told though there is no contract I would have to pay a prorated month fee for both me and my son. In error they hit my account on Feb 14th again Feb 26th and again on March 26th 2009. Not only did i get hit on my checking account 3 times I got hit with 4 bounce fees of 34.00 each. Given math what it is it has added up to 200 I dont have. Weeks later, hours spent on calls and days of time, anger and frustrated not to mention being broke it is not resolved yet. Today is April 13th 2009. I do not want anyone else to go through this mess. I also faxed them proof it has messed up my account because of their error. Still it isnt fixed. They told me I could only have a membership if I let them hit my checking account monthly. Never ever do that. I have paid dearly. I am a product of the economy and like most needed that 200 for food and gas to get to college. I had to borrow money to eat and pay for gas. We all at some point must cancel our membership and this is what you have to look forward too. I dont believe this is an accident I believe it is how they conduct business now days. Please do NOT give 24 hr fitness your debt card or checking account access. Do not give any business this information. It is hard to stop and correct. Can you afford to float 200 for weeks and afford time spent in endless calls asking for them to correct it?

I signed my fiance and myself up for an annual pass just for the 24 Hour Fitness in Broomfield. I also signed him up for the 3 personal trainer sessions. The price seemed a little high but I was hoping to get what I paid for with real results that were guaranteed to myself and to him. When I signed up I was told that I would be receiving a call from a representative to set up an orientation. I did not receive the call and my fiance and I went in. It was ridiculously busy and as soon as we walked in we started getting shuffled from one rep to another. We told them we wanted to get the personal trainer sessions scheduled since no one had called us. They took down the name and number and told us they would give us a call within a day or so. We never got the call. A week later I called back to find out what was going on and was told they would be giving my fiance a call to set up a session that day. They never called again. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back. This place is clearly too busy to welcome new members.

I just moved to the area and usually dont even mess with gyms because I prefer trail running and doing my own thing by myself. I have never lived somewhere quite as cold as Colorado and have quickly realized that if I want a good run, I will need to go to a gym in the winter. I decided to get the Free 3 Day Pass from the website. One guy was very nice and gave me a tour of the place explaining everything and answering all my questions. At the end, he handed me off to the guy who deals with memberships. I told him several times that I had the free pass and wanted to try it out. I thought he was informing me of their membership prices but by the end of the conversation he was trying to get me to pay $400 for personal training sessions and membership fees. I asked if I had to pay that now and he looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "Uh, yeah." So not only did he insult me but he didnt listen to a word I was saying. Needless to say, I will not be going back for my other 2 "free" days or ever.

I was a member at this gym about 5 years ago, and cancelled my membership due to never going. I have now been a member again for about 3-4 months, and go to the gym about 6 days a week. I cannot say enough good things about this gym. The makeover from when I was a member previously is great! The front desk staff is always friendly, and seem to make a valid effort to remember you. The overall environment of the gym is what I really love. It doesnt matter what time of the day you do, there will be people there giving it their all (which speaks volumes to how much people enjoy it). There are a lot of people there that are serious about their fitness, and it is incredibly motivating. Most people are really polite about using/waiting for machines. I do wish that there were a few more squat racks or smith machines, but thats just me being picky. Overall, as much as I wish there were less members so I never had to wait for a machine, this gym is great and Ill continue to go!

Ive worked out at six locations 24 Hour Fitness locations that I can think of in the metro area and the Broomfield location is my favorite. Their equipment is in good condition and they recently replaced a lot of the cardio machines with newer machines. They have a wide area available for stretching and core exercises that I use frequently. Pretty much the only thing I dont like about this location is that it is frequently busy during after-work hours. I realize the large after-work crowd is likely the norm for all gyms, but when the gym is still busy in November, and January (high concentration of even more gym-goers) is right around the corner, then thats not awesome. As much as Id love to find a new gym to go to after my two-year Costco/24 Hr Fitness contract expires in March 2015, all other gyms in the North Metro seem to be really horrible based on recent user reviews.
