I cant say enough good things about Roots! I went in to Nicole with the worst "ombre" style ever. The first stylist I went to didnt blend the color, use low lights, or tone it in the shade I wanted. I ended up with half my hair as choppy brassy blond and the rest my natural dark brunette. I went to Roots based on these reviews, and I was not disappointed. Nicole took a look at some pictures of the blend I had wanted originally and then made it happen! She even took a moment to show me some pictures of other ombre looks she had done to make sure I was comfortable. She took my hair from a disaster to the best look Ive ever had. She even took the extra time to touch up a few areas where the low light she put in didnt blend perfectly and trimmed up some of my ends when she noticed they were tangling a lot. Ive never felt like a stylist cared about their work as much as Nicole did. And to top it all off her fix was less expensive than the original salon! Nicole and Miles have a lifelong customer in me. I cannot recommend their locations enough.

I walked into Salon Republic this week not knowing what the place was exactly and found it to be an amazing place. For those wondering what it is. It allows hair dressers nail techs, massage therapists and all kinds of people in the service industry to create there own business in there own space. Coming from that back round I fell in love with the idea. Miles happened to meet me in the hall and showed me to his salon and allowed me to see how the place functions. He is a part owner to roots salon and his wife and other partner Robert all are very nice. Miles had a opening for me and cut my hair which came out fantastic, one of the best cuts I have had. I will be back in to have color done by Nicole and I cant wait. If you are looking for a salon give these guys a try there location is beautiful and kept very professional! I give the place 5stars and I will be back again! Karen

Ive had Miles cut my hair, and Nicole has colored it. They are both great stylists. I dont get my hair cut/colored often, and Id rather not have to go to the salon more than a couple times a year -- they are super conscientious of giving me a low-maintenance style. The haircut Miles gave me has been growing out great, without the thinning ends I usually end up with and stayed flattering to my face shape as it has gotten longer. Nicole did an amazing job on coloring my hair the shade of platinum I was aiming for. I have been to many, many hairstylists to try to get it lighter, and my hair would just go dull soon after. Nicole explained a new strategy for dying my hair, why I didnt get what I wanted from other hairstylists, and now it looks exactly how I wanted!!! Im super grateful and love the color!

I moved to Boulder a while ago and was concerned about the lack of hair salons in our community while searching for a new stylist. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon Miles. Since trusting my locks to Roots, I get compliments all the time (and some female jealously hehe) on how expensive and "high end" it looks :-) Ive lived in big cities like Paris for years and always shelled out the $$$ for hair. Miles work is some of THE best Ive ever had done. You would pay $400+ for the techniques he uses in any metropolitan area. Their new salon is the best secret (but not for long) in Boulder metropolitan area!

If you care about how your hair looks, this is an excellent salon. These guys really know what theyre doing, and they have the training to back it up (Vidal Sassoon classic shaping techniques combined with modern texturizing). Miles completely broke the weight out of my hair, and it looks great, the best haircut Ive gotten in Colorado. Mens cuts last 45 minutes, not 20 or 30, so texturizing doesnt mean a couple snips with thinning shears as other places seem to think, and the prices are a bargain for being such top-notch haircuts. Roots may be the best-kept secret in Denver/Boulder.

Im a guy who had near waist-length hair and was looking to go way short. I came across Nicoles bio on their website and had a gut feeling she could envision a great short look. What Nicole came up with is so awesome! I love the new look. She also is waaay friendly. Im not surprised at all that fashion designers hire here to Milan and Paris to cut hair for fashion shows... She is a superstar. Thanks Nicole!!!
