My Daughter went to this salon 3 times each equals 6 times with the same hair dresser. We both wanted lo and hi lights. I have been getting my hair professionally done for 35 years, and our first experience was fine, thought is was rude though he owner just ignores you and doesnt acknowledge new customers. The second time we both asked for low and high lites and we both came out with the high lites 2 inches from our dark brown roots. When I contacted the owner and the stylist I was told you have to ask for your roots and gray to be done as an addition step and fee. Now I have never had to ask a hair dresser when they did pale blond hi-lites to include my roots! Who would want 2 inches of dark brown and grey to show! Contacted the owner again and the stylist and told to come back in and get the roots done, waited for 6 weeks decided to wait and get it all done again, thinking this would be at no additional charge or some type of compensation I was charged $145.00 and the stylist did all my roots with the same color thinking it would blend so she used some color in between dark brown and brown on both my daughter and I and now we had this weird orange roots with dark and blond hi lights. I spoke to the owner again and told her most hair stylists would do the blond roots with blond and the dark roots with brown, isnt that the normal way? The owner replied after 3 times that I have to ask for these specific processes! Specific processes? This is a normal way an entry level stylist should do your hair and if I have to tell her what to do step by step than what am I paying for? After many conversations with Christine the owner, she never once offered to comp us, So with 6 visits and a over $30-35.00 tip we spent over 1000.00, never a followup from the stylist, apology or compensation, from the owner, we will never return. Keep in mind reviews on their home site lists only compliments not complaints, and I think they thrive on first time people who never return.

I was given a gift card for $85 which according to their price sheet should be enough for an hour facial. I called to book the facial only to find out they have no aesthetician. They told me to call some other place in Castle Rock that was excepting their gift cards...thats odd, but ok. I called the other place and she was shocked they were telling customers that. They had offered to take their "coupons" - not their gift cards. So I called back and settled on a massage only to find out the day before my massage, she had up and quit. (I was told she was upset that they were moving??) But they just hired a new easthetician and I could get a facial now! Great. I get to my appt 10 minutes early...no offer of water or any drink. The girl brings me in for my hour facial and doesnt even have me get comfortable (no robe, didnt even take off my shoes) and she doesnt introduce herself. She doesnt know how to turn the music on so its so quiet Im worried that Im breathing too loudly! AWKWARD! Then she says okay youre all set...it seemed really quick but they always end too quickly. When I got in my car I realized it had been 32 minutes since I left my car! (arrived 10 min early, paid, etc.) I called right away and no one answered so I left a message. Surprise...no one ever called me back! Needless to say - I WOULD NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!! Ive had a signature facial at Copperfalls in Castle Rock and there is no comparrison.

I want to thank you, Michelle, for your help and expertise. I wore another hairstyle for 20 years, and was thinking of switching to something more stylish which would fit my facial shape and personality better. I had been going to another stylist for 18 years, and decided to find someone closer to home to do my hair. I Googled hair salons in the Castle Rock area, and found your shop. That was 7 months ago, and since the very first haircut, I knew I had met the perfect stylist for me. For others reading this review, Michelle took time to hear what I was looking for with a new style. Something that would update my look (Im 53 years old) yet look stylish and keep me looking young (lol). She suggested several styles that could work for me, as well as look nice as I grew my hair out. The very first visit she cut my hair into the new (short) version of what I wanted. With each visit, she re-shapes my style. I had (and continue to have) so many compliments from the very first cut. Above and beyond a fantastic cut, Michelle is fabulous with color. I had been with Aveda salons for many years, and found that the more I colored my hair, the stiffer and drier it became. Michelle used another brand of color that she personally loves, and from the FIRST color, my hair was soft again. I could not believe it. The color is beautiful and looks natural, my hair is soft and bouncy again, and I could not be happier. Thanks, Michelle!

First off, I would like to sincerely apologize for the uneasy experience you had with our previous staff. I never like to hear that our clients have not been treated well, and especially that they were unhappy with any services. My personal philosophy is : "Treat the clients like family and the property like home." I can guarantee, that if youre willing to give us a second chance, you will get the experience you want and deserve. Aspen Grove has recently relocated, we are now doing business at 821 park street tucked in the shopping center, behind MC Donalds, off of wolfensberger. Our salon is now completely re-staffed and looking for a fresh start. All of our stylists, as well as our front desk associates specialize in customer service. I urge you to come back in, let us give you a free cut, and give us a second chance. We do still offer our 100% satisfaction guarantee which means if for any reason youre unsatisfied. We not only do NOT expect you to pay, but will fix it free of charge until you are completely satisfied. We are in a new location, with a new staff, ready and willing to make you love your hair all over again. our summer promo is 20% off a cut, or a comp cut with any color service. Melanie did an amazing job on my Spa Manicure today. My nails are splitting and dry so I brought in my own OPI nail strengthener base coat and color. Even though she had never worked with this base coat before she took the extra time and care to make my nails perfect (and I mean PERFECT). Even the color I brought in was a pain in the you know where. A metallic with some glitter that had the potential to show ever brush stroke. Melanie just made it all work and my nails have never looked better. I have already booked my appointment to come back next time for a Spa Manicure AND Pedicure. I cant wait. Stop wasting your time and money on those so called inexpensive nail salons in town where they rush you through like cattle, treat you like crap, and barely produce a tolerable manicure. Give Aspen Grove a try. Yes, the Spa Manicure is a little on the pricey side, but it is a lengthy & relaxing service. You truly get what you pay for. For those of you interested in just the basics they do have an express manicure on their service list. Not sure what gets left out, but I can see how the price and time savings might be worth it at some point. Dont forget to ask for Melanie when you call or book online.
