I go here a few times a week to play volleyball at lunchtime. The staff is always very friendly, and I love the convenience and great group of people I get to workout with. There are 2 things that make me say 4 and not 5 stars. They do not air condition or heat the upstairs gymnasium where we play vball. They have the vents and return grille in place which makes me think that their conditioning equipment has just gone into disrepair, which makes me think that they could put a little bit more into the facility to keep it nice. In Colorado it isnt too huge of a deal, but it does get quite hot in there in the summer. Additionally, we have a YMCA scheduled time that is for adult volleyball, and some times we arrive and the equipment is not set up. I just really love the volleyball and the convenience, so they still get 4 stars!

Expect a great, no-frills workout in a convenient location. The facility features a large pool, racquetball courts, basketball court, fitness and weight-lifting center, and a variety of low-priced classes. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and are committed to improving the overall well-being of their members. Free parking in the adjacent garage. There is a sliding scale fee for low-income people who cannot afford the full membership fee; you just have to ask and bring your paystubs to prove your income status. Also, membership at a single YMCA facility allows you to use any YMCA facility across the Pikes Peak region, from Monument to Fountain.

For me, this Y is like going to a spa, clean, and hospitable but without the pampering. The atmosphere in the locker room is welcoming and hospitable. I enjoy the friendly staff, (who know most everyone by name), the exercise classes and the caring and knowledgeable trainers. While I wait in the lobby for my husband to finish racquetball, I can relax, reading and having a tea in one of their comfortable chairs.

I use the place. It gets the job done. Its not like lifetime fitness at all. The child watch hours are terrible along with weekend hours of the gym. And the mens plus locker room is bizarre. Old guys hanging out naked, sitting down and laying down in the steam room naked. They put their bare asses and balls every where. Its the strangest locker room Ive ever been in.

Great staff, I always get greeted with a smile. The locker rooms are always clean and never out of soap. Wifi is definetly a plus. The weight room is very good sized with lots of good equipment. I like the stairsteppers, rowing machines, and the small track in the gym. It has a good crowd but not too overwhelming.

If I could leave a 0 star review I most definitely would. Do not waste your time or give them your money. Awful unhelpful staff. They could have done what I asked/needed. However THEY decided our circumstances "arent extreme enough". Please save yourself the trouble, and chose another gym.

For the price of premium health spa you get an old downtown gym. Maintenance on anything critical is 3-6 weeks and many lower priority maintenance items never get done. The racquetball courts have gone three weeks without heat in December! This makes it hard to have a workout routine.

Love it here!! The staff is so friendly and their personal training programs are amazing. I love the free garage to park my car. Its great:) I give it only 4 stars because it really needs a makeover. Very old building/ atmosphere. Other than that, a perfect place to workout :)

Excellent childcare. The women that work there are great and I trust them with my toddler. The facility is not the greatest but they offer a variety of classes and have gotten new equipment recently. The front desk is also wonderful. Thanks for being such a good Y!

I like the facility, and I really like the child watch here but I have yet to have a pleasant experience with the check-in staff. Everyone up front has been smug and even condescending. Fortunately, the people in the work out areas are friendly and helpful.

Ive been a member for over a year. I like the proximity to my house. Not thrilled on the lack of gym etiquette from other members. If you are asking yourself what gym etiquette is, you probably dont have it, and should start out at planet fitness instead.

You get so much more here than any other gym! Much cheaper than a health spa and way more features like childcare, basketball courts and Olympic size pool! In addition there is covered downtown parking provided! Better than the alternatives for sure!

Great Aquatics program! Low rates and low instructor to participant ratio. My daughter has improved dramatically this summer from this program. Recommend highly.
