I have been going there every morning since the 11 of February of 2013, and I was encouraged to join the NLP program for men with Alcohol Addiction along with any other drug addiction and get training in my Career Field. I was informed from different sources that the Mission is completely contradicting its policy on claiming its helping to fight against Homelessness. Along with the RJ Montgomery with its policy along with the environment in which the homeless/veterans alike dont get the services it needs to remove the homeless off the streets and provide housing for those that need the help along with the rest that want a difference in their lives. Most of us rather stay on the streets than to deal with Corrupted Minds that are filled with selfish desires for themselves. I have been in the Springs Area for at least 18 months. In that time frame I havent had the chance to obtain natural housing. Without meeting the requirements of the policy for every organization that I have contacted in regards to housing. Because of the qualifications that I dont meet. I have been told numerous times that I am either under qualified, over qualified, no transportation, Proof of Address, or dont have the experience to have the employment or to obtain payroll by the contractor of the Company itself. I continue to struggle day after day, relying on my Wifes Income to get by for a week of her limited income that she receives each month. She is currently on a case that is pending her SSI. I dont have a license to operate a motor vehicle, or an address to pay the rent and utilities to maintain proper hygiene to obtain employment by any agency. Some of us are left and stuck on the streets with no where to turn. And the resources that are available, most of them you are required to meet their standards for them to assist you with their services of need. They manage to obtain $80 for every client that signs up to see an advocate, there are alot of claims from that place along with several others that are within walking distance without managing to obtaining bus passes for the transportation to get where the destination of the organization. There are several vacant homes within this Nation USA that are not being used, unless you have green paper to trade or pay for housing.13 million homeless and 8 million vacant homes. The Souls that are in that place for the morning for coffee and the services that are provided dont help many of us for any need that must be met. I ask that whoever reads this, can listen and find the compassion to help and provide the services the Veterans and the homeless alike desperately need to have better and fighting hope for a better future. They have had a meeting with the homeless for a better winter shelter this coming Winter Season. They claim that dont have the funds, but allow us to depend on them to provide even a day shelter. Those funds can be used elsewhere besides their pockets and leaving us stranded except for the funds that we are limited to every month. Me and my future Wife have continuously prayed over this, in hopes of finding some kind of housing with the limited income she receives. She is currently working with a Mental Health Organization through Aspen Pointe. Housing is a major plus for maintaining proper Hygiene to obtain proper employment to financially independently support ourselves. We have discussed this with a few sources within the community, and its the only other option right now that very few of us have to do, in order to maintain housing and provide the chance to obtain our own source of food than what the Government provides on a daily basis. I urge you all, whoever reads this and assumes this doesnt pertain to you, never say never. You are not HUMAN. You have no compassion.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a group volunteer project at this community center. The associates took the time to give us a tour and explain how their various programs work. This shelter has low barrier options and even accepts well behaved pets! They are invested in assisting by offering a hand up, not a hand out. I highly recommend giving your time to them if you are looking for a volunteer opportunity.

Ive been here for a month and they dispose of my belongings. How can a homeless person carry all their belongings, while looking for a job and an apt.? Well RMH expects you to take ur stuff or they will throw it in the garbage with no shame. And wants you to sleep on a mattress without sheets or blanket. The rules make it really hard for you to progress out of the shelter. Makes no sense. Need new staff or protocol.

David is always helpful and friendly. Its hard to find staff at homeless shelters that treat their patrons with respect or kindness. He is never impatient or rude to anyone even when some transients become unruly. Bit of a chaotic place during peak hours but a lot of good resources

We donated my Dads car to Springs Rescue Mission a few years ago. Felt good knowing it would go to someone in need and not be re-sold. You are a great organization for this community! Thanks for all you do!

The staff are rude and dont help what so ever. They spent all this $$ and the shelters are not even done all the way. Its not at all what they say it is on the internet.not at all.

Did not like that I HAD to put my service dog in a crate if I wanted service. Left without getting help for that very reason! If I could give them less than one star I would.
