9/8/15 Wash n Set/ Protein Treatment I have to admit that after reading the mixed reviews I was reluctant to visit this salon. Luckily I received a good review from someone I knew personally who told me that they were worth the visit, and I dont regret it at all. I dont remember the woman who washed and deep conditioned my hair, but she cared for it like it was her own. Most beauty salon wash and sets are consist of a quick wash and barely enough time for the conditioner to work. I got my scalp scratched, hair washed twice paying attention to the middle where it needed it the most, and deep conditioned (generous amount) it. My hair was blown out perfectly and carefully, I didnt have to worry about getting a headache from my hair being pulled (remember Im natural ). Lyza finished off my look by flat ironing, a silk wrap( I think thats what that method is called) and a much needed trim. I havent gotten a trim in nearly a year, yet she managed to cut the split and dry ends without taking off inches of hair. Did I mention that I was entertained the entire time? There wasnt a dull moment in that salon. The women there are true professionals. I definitely plan on booking them regularly.

My overall experiences here have been fair. This is the typical "black salon." Youre never seated at the time of your appointment. Services are slow, theres always someone with an attitude or just being over the top (Korie or Taylor). I dont think Ive ever seen Sylvia with shoes on, or black leggings that arent sheer enough to see her undergarments. Lyza is a good stylist, but always double books or has some type of emergency to attend to. The prices are median, but the price for a dye job is outrageous to say they purchase box color from the beauty supply next door. Take a Snickers bar if you plan to go to Xpressions, because youll be waiting a while. Dont forget a book or pair of headphones if you dont want to be talked to deaf by the wash and braid girl. But be prepared to be hit up by the bootleg CD/DVD man, and the guy selling the "L7" fragrance oils. The Springs needs a more client-focused, client-driven salon that caters to ethnic hair needs, and Xpressions isnt it.

A lot of these reviews are old so Im glad I took it upon myself to see what Xpressions was really about. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience! =) I recently went to Xpressions for a Wash & Set after searching for a salon that caters to my natural hair in CO. They have a beautiful salon and work to accommodate you. I was originally scheduled for a 1pm hair appointment but at the last minute my work schedule changed. Lyza made sure I was in and out by the time I had to be at work. My hair looks amazing! She gave me a light trim and press. It was my first time getting a silk wrap and it seems to make your hair softer. The prices are reasonable. I will be going back monthly to have my hair treated and styled! Every experience is different but check them out for yourself ;-)

I went in today (08/18/2017) for a sew in with lace frontal installation, and as soon as I walked in everyone was very friendly. I waited about 5 minutes for someone to start my hair, which wasnt bad at all. My hair was blow dried and braided very neat and flat. Korie was the one installing my hair and she is so funny and friendly. I never felt awkward or unwelcome. I asked a few questions about what she was doing with my hair and she was very knowledgeable. She didnt rush my hair, made sure everything laid flat as possible. She styled it and even customized me some beautiful baby hairs! Ill definitely be coming back to her.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to go to this saloon or use the same hairdresser That did my hair. i called ahead of time to ask her when I should come she told me to came in an hour I came on time and wait for one hour for her to start doing my hair. Then I tell her I want a blonde ombre she completely disregards that and dyed my hair brown. The hairdresser left and made me wait 45 minutes at some point to do another persons hair. shes very rude an dafter I was unsatisfied they ended up overcharging me I was told I will be charges $35 less than what I was actually charged. Other hairdressers seemed nice but Taylor not so much.

Worst experience ever!!!!!!! I wish I could give this place no stars. Sylvia is the worst. Me and my daughters appointment was at 11am we sat for 40 minutes then for another 2 hours just to get a blown out and pressed. All the while sylvia is complaining talking eating and walking off to the back. After 3 and half almost 4 hours later for a wash blowout trim and press i end up spending $135. And our hair is natural.... Like wtf....you try and support black opperating businesses but this is exactly why I will not when they are just plain greedy. Sylvia and xpressions will reap what they sew!!!!!!

I normal never write reviews but I feel as though they deserve it. This shop is so welcoming clean and friendly. I have never been treated so well and made to feel comfortable at any shop like this. I am really shy so I get nervous going to new hair salons. Liza was the sweetest woman ever and did so good and my hair and hyped me up after making me feel good! I absolutely love this place.

Xpressions is great! Taylor is absolutely amazing. Anyone that can tame my natural tresses with just a flat iron & a lot of patience is alright with me! The staff is sweet & the service reminds me of back home. A little pricey compared to what I am used to (mind you, I had been seeing the same hairstylist for nearly 10 years in LA), but well worth it. Go see Taylor. Tell her Rani sent ya!

Got my first sew in here by Jay z. She did a wonderful job. I am very tender headed and did not feel much pain while she was doing my hair and it has almost been two months and my hair has held up through trips to the beach and swimming in the pool, will definitely be coming back! All of the women there were very nice.

Well, I visited about a month ago. My hair only lasted 2 days, literally 2 days. I shouldve known not to go back a second time. The 1st time I waited an hour for the beautician and then she left the facility while leaving me under the dryer. Even though I had to wait the 1st time, my hair lasted way longer than 2 days.

I went here 2 weeks ago havent had time to write a review. Paid $120 FOR HAIR DYE! That was ridiculous. Ive gotten my hair dyed before somewhere else and they only charged me $85. This place will just take your money. Hair came out too bright and she rushed to style my hair. I will not recommend it.

Ive had nothing but great experiences when I go to Xpressions. The ladies are wonderful, there is never any vulgar or offensive music or language. Lyza has been doing my hair for years and she always has a great attitude, a positive vibe and shes always on point with my hair.
