Dear Ann, We’re are sure most of the notes you get start with a huge Thank You. Ours is no different, however for Lauren and I, we feel that a Thank You does not adequately begin to describe how much we appreciate your personal level of commitment to making the planning process and our wedding day absolutely perfect!!!! Love, commitment, marriage have a universal meaning and understanding around the world. You can say “I am married” in any language and it is understood. People know you share a unique love, trust, and commitment with another person, a special bond. Our love and commitment for each other is really no different with one exception, until earlier this year most States and the Federal Government did no recognize a same sex marriage. Being gay women, we felt the sanctity of” marriage” would be one of life’s events that we would not be able to experience. However through the tireless efforts of thousands of people across the Unites States, the evolution of thinking, and an opening of hearts and minds, this all changed. Lauren and I have been in a committed relationship for over 13 years, now we could make it “ official” from a legal perspective. It was now time to begin planning the BIG event. We knew we needed help, the perfect wedding planner that would understand us and help bring our wedding to life. We searched the web, spoke to people but we could not find a “ gay wedding planner”. In passing I had a conversation with a colleague at work and he said, “ You have to call Ann Marlin at Cloud Nine. She is amazing, you guys will love her!! “ Lauren and I talked about it and decided to make the call. I can still remember dialing the phone nervously thinking about how I was going to ask the question, “ Would you consider helping plan a Gay wedding” I stumbled over my words trying to convey our relationship. Ann, you were amazing, you put me immediately at ease, you said “ of course lets plan an amazing wedding” !!! I knew you and the team of vendors associated with Cloud Nine were going to be the perfect match for us. Our first meeting solidified our thinking!! You took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. You got us, and the experience we wanted to create for our wedding day. This would be an event to bring together all of our friends and family who supported us over the years. Many of our friends and family had never met each other personally. They only knew each other through us sharing funny loving stories. Let the planning begin .. you introduced us to the amazing team of vendors that brought each aspect of the wedding to life!! Lauren and I were typical brides, a bit nervous leading up to the day. We wanted it to be perfect, we wanted our first dance to not look like we had taken dance lessons, we wanted our family and friends to enjoy the farm to table food we selected, we wanted the dance floor to be full, and most importantly we wanted everyone to know how much we loved them and appreciated them being with us for OUR wedding. Dreams do come true... When Lauren and I arrived at Crooked Willow Farm to get ready, a calm washed over each of us. Everything was done, in place, and of course we had Ann to work her magic and orchestrate the day. We were in the industries best hands!!! The day was absolutely flawless.. from hair and makeup, our first look photos with Katie from Van Buren Photography, Crooked Willow Farm could not have looked more stunning, Jennifer officiating our wonderful ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dancing the night away, and the amazing limo ride with Charles back to the hotel. I absolutely loved working with the ladies at Cloud 9. We worked with Ann Marlin & Brittany Cook - we spent more time with Ann but we got to spend some time with Brittany as well! They were both incredible. We got married less than 2 weeks ago and I already miss chatting with Ann every day. She was not only the most fabulous planner but became a friend and someone I would go to for advice. She made our dream wedding come to life and honestly it was even better than we ever could have imagined. Ann & Brittany are two of the sweetest people and they are so organized and extremely creative. They thought of things that I never would have that just tied the day together perfectly. Ann was always available when I needed her and so easy to talk to. Cloud 9 works with the most wonderful vendors too! Every vendor they suggested blew us away with their talent and kindness. My wedding was completely stress free because of Ann and her team. My little brother was very sick the week of the wedding and in the ICU so we were all in the hospital every day right up until the wedding (he was released from the hospital the night before! yay!) so we werent available to answer any last minute questions or concerns but Ann and Brittany and the rest of the team made sure everything was still perfect. It was a horrible week but the wedding day was incredible thanks to Cloud 9. We finally got to relax and just enjoy our big day! I seriously could rave about Cloud9 forever but just know that if you are looking for a wedding planner - this is your team! You will not be disappointed! If there was 96 Stars I would mark them all! Ann and her team were absolutely unbelievable in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. My current Cheese n Kisses (wife) was (putting it politely) decently picky when it came to the detail of our big day and Cloud 9 absolutely nailed it! There were so many tiny aspects they paid attention and took care of without us even knowing! Things like, catching my wifes vale that flew off from the wind right as she started walking down the isle, to finding a random family member (that decided 5 minutes before the wedding to show up) a place to sit and food to eat, to putting up 200 tiny little table seating cards on a gorgeous rope set up. Whatever question I had as a groom was answered so quick, and made the what usually is a stressful day the most amazing experience of my life. Their whole crew were so nice, so helpful, and were super quick to get anything/everything/everyone where they need to be at the right place at the right time. I personally wouldve developed an ulcer had I had to deal with our wedding, but they did it with so much class, so much elegance, and with so much confidence, you would have no idea that the officiant wasnt at the venue until 5 minutes before the wedding (that happened). You want the best day of your life to run without any hiccups, and to be more memorable than you could imagine, and Cloud 9 are the people to make it happen. I GUARANTEE you wont regret it!!

These ladies are amazing!! I was so blown away by the service, the kindness, & the results. So many guests came up to me at the wedding to not only compliment the wedding, but specifically brought up my wedding planners and how awesome they were. They made sure everything was flowing as it should and continuously asked guests if they were comfortable & enjoying themselves. I worked with Ann Marlin & Brittany Cook. Ann is the lead planner/designer (CEO) for Cloud 9 so I didnt work with her as much, but she always made herself available and was such a pleasure to work with! She was working on multiple weddings but you always felt like a priority with her. I worked mostly with Brittany throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough nice things about her. She was so incredibly easy to work with. I would describe my vision and she would deliver! Any changes I had were a non-issue. She worked directly with the vendors so I didnt have to worry about any of it. She kept us on our timeline and made sure payments were spread out as we requested. She was very professional and kind throughout the entire process. I honestly feel like I gained a friend. Any Bride would be lucky to work with these two! Our day was perfect <3
